The Rundown
When Travis, the mouthy son of a criminal, disappears in the Amazon in search of a treasured artifact, his father sends in Beck, who becomes Travis's rival for the affections of Mariana, a mysterious Brazilian woman. With his steely disposition, Beck is a man of few words -- but it takes him all the discipline he can muster to work with Travis to nab a tyrant who's after the same treasure. From TMDB

unlabelledView post →The Rundown is The Rock’s best film. He peaked right there; he shouldn’t have traded in Sean William Scott for Kevin Hart
unlabelledView post →apropos of nothing, thinking about how, although he's very funny in THE RUNDOWN and legit amazing in PAIN & GAIN, Dwayne Johnson is inconceivable in a KNIVES OUT movie and could never put on those little glasses like in BLADE RUNNER 2049.
unlabelledView post →Here’s my Ryan Reynolds theory: I think the box office had room for either Ryan Reynolds or Sean William Scott but not both. I think they are almost interchangeable (look at Scott in Dwayne Johnson’s best film: The Rundown). But Deadpool sealed the deal. #HATM

unlabelledView post →The template for The Rock’s success is his 2003 movie The Rundown. Good actors, (some) actually funny jokes, great action, and a scene where The Rock gets the shit beaten out of him by a little wiry guy on a rope swing. That’s literally all we want!
unlabelledView post →considering that he plays the exact same role, I really loved him in The Rundown. That movie was a childhood favorite of my brother and I's.
unlabelledView post →The Rundown is good! That's another type of movie they don't really make anymore and while I'm more inclined towards Faster-style shit I'd bring those back if I could, and he'd be a colossus in that genre.
unlabelledView post →The Rundown + Red One both the genre of film I am forced to call "Dwayne The Rock Johnson looks at a brat criminal like "great now I gotta be responsible for this water bottle" "you don't have to be-- "No I gotta""
unlabelledView post →I watched this video so much at the time that the next time I watched the movie the Rundown, and it got to the part with the shootout, I was like, "Wait, why are they using the Nintendo On music?" youtu.be/6m_82jJmA4o

unlabelledView post →Is that from his remake of Walking Tall? Because I think Walking Tall and The Rundown (Christopher Walken at his most Walken) are the peak of his forays into film
unlabelledView post →This was still more than I wanted to pay for it, but I finally broke down and got KINO LORBER's 4k of THE RUNDOWN (2003) This is still, in my opinion, the best film that both the Rock AND Peter Berg ever made, and some great work from Sean William Scott, who is a VASTLY underrated performer.

unlabelledView post →Sorry everyone. The Rundown is a close second, but Moana is his best movie.
unlabelledView post →Terminator, but special shout-out to a childhood fave Kindergarten Cop. Also he had a small cameo in The Rundown which is a fantastic but underrated action movie.
unlabelledView post →My hot take is his best movie being the Rundown. Knock off Indiana Jones in a good way.
unlabelledView post →I swear The Rundown and Walking Tall are just the same movie. Both fun, as were Be Cool and Doom, but basically the same movie. (I’ve watched both way too many times.)
unlabelledView post →The Rundown is a great movie!
unlabelledView post →Watching KINO LORBER's 4K of THE RUNDOWN (2003). Former actor Peter Berg directs a blossoming actor in the Rock and together they produce an absolutely SUBLIME and stylish action comedy that excels because it subverts action movie tropes by presenting a different kind of masculinity.
unlabelledView post →A largely missed takeaway from The Rundown was that both the Rock and Sean William Scott are really charismatic on screen and that movie was very fun because of both of them. Turned into a launchpad for the rock but less so for stifler.
unlabelledView post →The Rock was funny as hell in the Rundown. His uber stereotypical evil Marine in Doom was pure cheese but also super entertaining. That movie was trash but it was FUN trash.
unlabelledView post →The Rock's best movie is still "The Rundown" and that's really sad. Not that that film is bad, but he started off by allowing himself to appear human. Now, he's a walking parody.

unlabelledView post →The Rundown. That movie is deliciously ridiculous. The Rock punches his way through a concrete support pillar mid-jump.
unlabelledView post →Schwarzenegger tells him to “have fun” in a quick cameo in The Rundown (which I still think is his best movie).
unlabelledView post →I had no idea this movie existed and now I must watch it. Especially since The Rundown (2001) is one of my favorites
unlabelledView post →The Rundown remains, in my opinion, one of the best Dwayne Johnson movies, an incredible Walken movie, and an all-around underrated classic.

unlabelledView post →I know Gail is Gailing and the people in the replies are riding the Gail Train, but speaking on the level, this is one of my favorite tropes, and is why I like the movie The Rundown (though how the thugs don't predict Dwayne Johnson knows how to throw down is ridiculous).
unlabelledView post →I am going to become the Joker…. Netflix, if you’re gonna show the “Welcome to the Jungle” version, don’t label it “The Rundown”!
unlabelledView post →Hilariously enough, I also saw that movie in the theater, the same afternoon after I had seen Dirty Pretty Things. Two very different cinematic experiences, no doubt. 😄 But The Rundown was much more delightfully funny than what I was anticipating, which was stupidity.
unlabelledView post →I swear the last movie he was even vaguely decent in was The Rundown (though I admittedly haven’t seen him in much). Although he should also have been sent to Tartarus for his Hercules movie. That was dreadful.

unlabelledView post →Wait, did they call "The Rundown" "Welcome to the Jungle" in the UK‽ Also, I unironically love that movie and would be lying if I said I don't have many phrases I use in life to this day that come from that flick. And it is a flick. Not a film, not a movie, but a flick, and that's perfectly fine.
