On this day back in 2008, the film "The Rocker" starring Rainn Wilson is released. In a deleted scene included on the DVD, he goes to collect his drum kit from self storage, and when he opens one of the cases, the drum has "Neil Peart is GOD" written across the top of it. youtu.be/nkI8OPXTFQs

It's sad, because The Rocker was a pretty good movie, it just got washed out by a lot of other films that came out that year, but his voice acting in Monsters vs Aliens wasn't anything remarkable. You just have to keep playing parts & giving the show your best.

Right now, Ella McCay is aiming for a $2.3-ish million domestic launch. If it hits that number, that would be the 6th worst domestic opening ever for a non-re-release movie debuting in 2,500+ theaters. Titles like Copshop, The Rocker, Arctic Dogs, and Victor Frankenstein all opened better.
