60 of 79 · most liked firstI really wanted to love this game because the concept is exactly what I've wanted for years: a police sandbox inspired by classic cop movies where you patrol, respond to crimes, pull over suspicious drivers, chase suspects, write tickets, make arrests, and slowly clean up the city. The frustrating part is... I actually do love playing it. The shift system is fantastic. Starting your day, getting assigned a patrol, responding to random calls, checking IDs, searching suspects, writing…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Like the old GTA games but you get to play as a cop, really cool. Also the developer keeps delivering with free update after free update, adding in many new content drops.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Precinct is a video game that bravely asks the question no one wanted answered: “What if you were the cop in GTA?” Not the heroic TV cop. Not the action-movie cop. The actual cop—the one who shows up after a guy steals a car, crashes it into a mailbox, punches three pedestrians, and then insists he did nothing wrong. This is old-school GTA energy flipped on its head. Same chaotic city, same unhinged citizens, but now you’re responsible for stopping the nonsense instead of causing it.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is essentially GTA from the point of view of the police, complete with destructive street races and stunts where the police face zero repercussions for the havoc they cause in the pursuit of criminals I like this game, which might be surprising since I am not recommending it. The reason I am not recommending it in its current state is because there are a lot of excruciatingly frustrating aspects of the game. 1) Your partner is absolutely useless. If you have control of the situation,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This has the most skippable mobile game ass dialogue out of any game I've ever played in my entire life. That said, the gameplay loop is genuinely fire. Recommend getting it on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I completed the story mode and have just been messing with it since, I can see why some people may not like it, but for being a fan of the top down camera viewpoint, this games flaws can be overlooked by me. This is not a detective game, it is shift based beat cop game, you will run shifts as parking enforcement, tow truck driving, Helicopter shifts, traffic enforcement , no real deep thinking involved, I kinda enjoyed that pacing, easy to play,
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has plenty of promise, but at the moment I find it a bit of a shallow experience. The gameplay is pretty repetitive, and the main story doesn't quite hook me in. I find it a bit more interesting just being a beat cop, but there's not really enough variety in this area. That sandbox is pretty shallow - just tick a box challenges. The controls are a little clumsy as well - I often seem to end up selecting the wrong thing. I feel like with a bit more time this could turn out to be…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Precinct, in my opinion, is a real hidden gem. Whether it’s worth the €30 price tag is something everyone has to decide for themselves and I hope this review can help with that decision. I personally took a long time before finally buying the game. One important note: I bought it on sale, and at that price it is more than worth it. This review is based entirely on my personal experience. Gameplay: At first glance, the gameplay feels like one of the early GTA titles just prettier.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game a year after release again thinking they would have fixed the issues arisen previously.. the cops on the road are still more lunatics then the criminals themselves, I call in my first patrol car and it comes speeding in from the opposite direction only to completely miss the criminal by 30 meters and smash into a pathway full of pedestrians killing 3 of them and blowing up the officers car with him inside in the process, completely ruined the immersion, then I call in the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →im a big police sim guy, the mundane and almost boring daily tasks of an officer on patrol is what always sucks me in and keeps me playing for hours... that being said, this game handles the mundane very poorly. several crimes you witness on patrol are committed by two people, and if you have an NPC partner with you, you can almost guarantee that one of two perps will get away. on top of that, you better hope & pray that whoever you see breaking the law in a car will be cool enough to stop,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been waiting for a game like this for a long time. There is no other game that comes close to what this game is, and it seems like some people are confused as to what this game is. First off, this game is NOT a simulator, but it does a fantastic job of being one nonetheless. It's not 100% realistic, but it isn't trying to be. The pursuits and shootouts aren't realistic, but they are FUN. It's like an over the top action movie at times, and while I usually prefer realism, I absolutely love…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Subject: Averno’s Finest (Or Just Its Most Bored) After spending a significant amount of time patrolling the neon-soaked streets of Averno City, I really wanted to love The Precinct. It nails the 1980s "cop show" aesthetic, but unfortunately, the gameplay under the hood feels like it’s running on a flat tire. 🚔 The Daily Grind The biggest issue is the sheer repetitiveness. Once you’ve handled your fifth parking violation and third pursuit, you’ve basically seen the entire loop. While the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is awesome and definitely has some really neat systems going for it, however it feels weird not to have an option for co-op as it the game feels like it could really benefit from it. I wish my AI partner could instead just be a friend and we work together to tackle crime in the city.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're excited about the idea of handing out parking tickets to people that are parked in front of a hydrant, or you like the idea of pulling people over for speeding, or giving people a ticket for dropping litter, then this is the game for you. I found the majorety of the gameplay a bit tedious. Felt like having a job. A job where I went around ticketing people for minor infractions. When I did actually get to exciting police work, the game really struggled to support it. In car chases…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Precinct released today! The game lets you deal with all sorts of crime, from issuing parking tickets to dealing with gangsters. If, like me, you'd like more games in which you're a cop, you may want to give it a go 👮
unlabelledView post →The K-9 update came just in time, I would not even recommend playing this game without. To the devs, please fix the annoying mini map not having the player in the middle. Also Kelly is a moron.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rating: ★★★★ - Great Time Played: 13.3 hours Gameplay: - The core loop inverts GTA. You're the cop, not the criminal. Crime is procedurally generated across the city so you patrol and find it rather than sitting at a callout screen waiting. - Suspects have a willpower meter alongside health. Yelling at them, near-misses, and sustained pursuit chips it down until they surrender. Taking them in alive pays more XP than killing them, so there's a reason to bother. - Car chases are the…

unlabelledView post →It's not a bad game but I feel like it should be worth $15 at most for what you get. Very short, some polish still needed, and the progression is basic. The shooting is something that really needs work too, especially since trying to line up shots doesn't seem to matter as it follows a specific pattern of shot to the left, center, shot high, shot low, shot right, and then back center despite the reticle size or position. I could have beat this in maybe a few hours if I focused on strictly the…

The Precinct is a good game in which the action takes place in the 80s and offers you a pleasant experience plus the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Precinct is a very solid indie experience that punches above its weight in several areas. The standout feature is easily the driving. Vehicle handling feels tight, responsive, and genuinely fun, whether you’re cruising through the city or chasing down suspects. For a game of this scale, the mechanics are polished, and the sense of control behind the wheel is impressive. The game also offers a good amount of gameplay options during patrols. From issuing tickets and responding to minor…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved the game! You can roleplay as a cop and chase criminals with a K-9 partner. The K-9 can even sniff out narcotics and track criminals who have hidden out of sight. Good story and gameplay. Experienced a few bugs but they look like they can get ironed out easily. 9/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Precinct surprised me in the best way. Averno City feels alive — neon lights, rain, crime popping off everywhere — and patrolling it as a rookie cop is genuinely fun. The mix of small callouts and big cinematic chases keeps the gameplay fresh, and calling in backup, spike strips, or roadblocks makes every pursuit feel tactical. The 1980s atmosphere is spot-on, the destructible environments add real impact, and the story gives everything a sense of purpose instead of just being random…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is great fun, but too short for my taste. I wish it was much longer and had a better advancement system, from rookie, to an FTO, to Sgt, and Detective. More types of offenses, crimes and maybe improve on the arrest tactics. It reminds me of Urban Chaos from Playstation One, and I like it a lot. I beat it already, and I am still playing it. You will not regret it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I felt like a GTA-style cop NPC and I kind of liked that. The game is really fun, especially when you're just sandboxing and working through different shifts. It’s also quite relaxing. The only downside is that it can become a bit repetitive after a while. Luckily enough, the developers keep adding features. Overall I’m really excited about this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is not bad. Especially for a FIVE men dev-team. Unfortunatelly, the lack of human resource is pretty visible. Story: takes about 60 minutes to complete if you dont count in the grind wall in the middle of the game. Generally, plot is a total cliche about corruption, son-cop investigating dad-cop death and stuff like that - not really interesting to follow up the storyline. Atmosphere: at some points it's good, most specifically if you are talking about music and some details, BUT…

unlabelledView post →One of the best police simulators out there. It has a somewhat interesting story, very good GTA like gameplay, but centered around police work. The gameplay loop, centered around shifts, are very good. They get more and more varied the more you play, and if you want to immerse yourself in police work, you don't need to progress the story, you can just do the shifts over and over, because they are random. Also apart from story missions, you are free to search for any crimes and resolve them…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A really entertaining gem that provides a good 'cop simulator' that balances realism with fun and doesn't take itself too seriously, and the 80's aesthetic is very welcome. The core of the game is the loop; you start a designated shift at the beginning of the day (foot patrol, car patrol, tow duty, helicopter patrol) and must solve crimes as they happen or respond to dispatch calls or backup. Crimes could be drug dealing, drunk driving, burglary and more serious gang shootouts. You earns XP…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The best police game BUT feels "abandoned" even though its just been released, feels like they stopped working on it already, we had 1 good dlc, 1 bad one and that's it. i feel they focused too much on the "story" but not the afterparty, when you got all the cool toys. Could have been multiplayer, maybe a bigger map? it's missing something for sure.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game honestly gives me GTA 1 vibes, and I mean that in a good way. The graphics look great, the gameplay is really fun, and TBH, this is exactly the kind of police game I’ve been waiting for. I wanted a police simulator that actually felt like a game instead of just doing the same boring tasks over and over, and The Precinct does a really good job of making it fun. The story is also pretty good. I just wish the devs would add a few things in the future. A bigger map, co-op with friends,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →really janky cop-em-up that i was expecting to be a job simulator, but really isnt at all. very camp writing, not sure if im supposed to take it seriously but i never could, voice acting is also hit and miss, but the gameplay is a blast. it's like if you're playing a cop game but everyone else is playing mad max or twisted metal or something, entirely unhinged.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like completing your task this game love to make sure that doesn't happen. Want to arrest your suspect, do background checks, etc.. No can't do it random main missions pop up saying not main objective when you started your current job before that even popped up. If there's two suspects almost always the second one gets away, no real way to stop it. That's frustrating and needs a better solution from the developers. When doing a main objective you'll bee sometimes major crimes like…

unlabelledView post →This is just a good old-fashioned video game. The story left a bit to be desired, but the main draw is the sandbox elements and those struck a good balance between arcade and simulation-level detail. The Good Driving through the nighttime city and blasting synthwave made for a chill experience between writing parking tickets and beating up crackheads! The vehicle physics were surprisingly good for an indie title such as this, which gave me big early-GTA vibes. For a top-down game, there was a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool game with a ton of unrealized potential. The basic structure of the sandbox is awesome especially for a smaller team, but still needs a lot of love to really thrive. The policing is cool but the majority of activities lack depth and variety. The world doesn't quite feel alive and emergent enough to lead to unique experiences every shift. The majority of activities you may do on shift ultimately play out the same way with a general lack of player choice, and some events just don't seem like…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm liking The Precinct but it's got a lot of small issues that make playing it more and more difficult knowing it's not going to get fixed. The physics, ragdoll and destructible environment to me are the games biggest pros but I do wish I would have bought The Precinct when it was on sale. - There's no zoom option, and when the game randomly decides to zoom in close or zoom out far, it's just frustrating especially when you can only tilt the viewing angle by a few degrees. - Your partners…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would recommend this game for people that really love cop games and role play. I want to like it more, but it starts to feel really lifeless after awhile. I thought It'd be worth the price tag more but I found I wasn't as majorly impressed as I thought I would be. I honestly feel weird about this game, I like it, but maybe not enough. Definitely needs some physic tweaks and more life to the gameplay to make the game a 30+ hour title.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played the game and honestly loved it .. The story and the daily tasks were super fun .. I enjoyed every minute of it .. Its only downside is that it’s a bit short .. but like I said .. it’s worth every penny I spent on it and every moment I played .. I’m definitely recommending it! It even gave me those old-school GTA 1 vibes from PS1 days when I was a kid but this time it’s from the police side taking on crimes with way better modern graphics ..

unlabelledView post →The Precinct strikes a perfect balance for anyone looking for a great police sim. I really enjoyed my time with it because it feels 'real' enough to immerse you in the role of a cop, but it never goes over the top to the point where it feels like a second job. Unlike other sims that can get bogged down in overly complex mechanics, this game never gets too technical. It keeps the gameplay engaging and smooth while still capturing that authentic atmosphere of patrolling the streets. If you want…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing game! for some it might be boring but for me it's kinda exciting. Stopping crimes as a normal human being with a baton or hand gun. Plus trying not to over speed while driving. I enjoy the open world like city.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game kind of feels like you get to be a GTA cop. It took me ~25 hours to get all the achievements, and the gameplay was definitely getting repetitive and a bit boring by then. Since I've completed it there has been an update adding a totally unique mechanic and new way to engage with the game, for free. I'd say it's worth ~$15-20, depending of in the trailer is attractive to you.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Precinct is a highly entertaining police simulator and detective sandbox game delivered from a sharp isometric perspective. You step into the shoes of Cordell, a rookie officer partnered up with Kelly, a seasoned veteran of the ACPD. While there is a main storyline to follow, the game truly shines in its freedom; you can easily steer away from the main plot to tackle side tasks, conduct random traffic stops, or dive into unexpected investigations. This open-ended approach is exactly what…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beat this game and it was fun, I don't really get the focus on the story, it's not that great (Even a bit cringe at times). This game would be a lot more popular and fun if it had online capabilities. Ideally both co-op and versus. All in all, if you wanna play a top down police RP, it can keep you entertained for a couple days. I'd be excited to watch this game grow with skins, cars, and more organized crime. A lot of potential here. Update: Came back to 100% for fun, still a fun game,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played the prolouge playtest thingy over a year ago, and it was pretty solid. Saw that it finally came out (yes im late af) and I can say it has remained pretty solid since. It heavily recommends controller but I played KBM and was perfectly fine, only iffy part is the driving but thats just a downside of KBM. Story is alright, but I'm glad I can focus more on the sandbox features instead of beelining the story like most other games force you. The only downside I've really faced is being…

However, after getting used to everything with giving out offenses and tickets, that whole loop can get boring after a while. There is a lot of different crimes but that becomes boring quickly too, i think it has to do with that the game is incredibly fast paced, there is always something happening, and u can quickly be on your 50th car chase after no time, so when u have played for 1 hour,…
