The way the spirits were depicted in the movie are refreshingly inventive, and Rebecca Hall is just so fucking good, as always.
unlabelledView post →Rebecca Hall is absolutely incredible. I need her to start in another horror movie. I love how devastating and original this is. There’s such creative imagery, it sticks with you. A favorite of mine. #filmsky #horror My ★★★★★ review of The Night House on @letterboxd: boxd.it/9qCBhv
unlabelledView post →The Night House sounds like a good ol classic kind of #horror film. Jo Nesbo? Aaron Paul? Yes please. variety.com/2025/film/gl...
unlabelledView post →THE NIGHT HOUSE (2020, VOD, #film) A flinty, melancholic, tightly-wound teacher loses her husband to suicide; haints ensue. A quite good psychological horror that excels at heebie-jeebies, anchored by a *tremendous* Rebecca Hall. It's just a damn good flick. h/t: @theharvestmaid.bsky.social
unlabelledView post →huh I was today years old when I found out the Night House was originally a Hellraiser movie
unlabelledView post →Time for another Rebecca Hall (💀 👑) rec: The Night House. Hall is incredible here. I don't want to say too much, but this film is one of the best explorations of depression and its effects that I've seen. Plus, there's a jump scare in here that was so effective, it got me good (TW in replies)
unlabelledView post →#filmsky The Thinking Man’s Horror Movie? The Night House (out today, 2021) sure qualifies. Rebecca Hall discovers her late husband was building a replica of their house across the lake; the reason why is terrifying. Works as either a ghost story or psychological study, and it gets under your skin.

unlabelledView post →The Night House. Absolutely terrifying and another great horror performance by Rebecca Hall.
unlabelledView post →so! I was gonna make one of my usual anniversary posts about THE NIGHT HOUSE—a film very near + dear to my heart—which came out four years ago today. I revisited my essay about the movie for @bwdr.bsky.social + felt like I should share my ending note here: www.brightwalldarkroom.com/2024/08/07/p...
unlabelledView post →In my opinion the best horror movie from 2024 has been The Night House.
unlabelledView post →#100HorrorMoviesin92Days 58. THE NIGHT HOUSE (2020) I really liked the concept of this! Glad I went in cold. I kinda guessed where it was going, but it went there in an enjoyable (for me) way.
unlabelledView post →THE NIGHT HOUSE is a film that sticks to your ribs. Released on this day in 2021, I had the good fortune of chatting about this film with @bjcolangelo.bsky.social about the how the film explores trauma, mental health, survivor guilt, and illness.
unlabelledView post →36. The Night House (2020) I feel like I was the only person who liked this movie but honestly it might be David Bruckner's best horror outing yet and the apotheosis of his grappling with his feelings around masculine identity, it's also extremely ME as it's built all around a single weird image
unlabelledView post →FILM RECOMMENDATION: The Night House (2020), starring Rebecca Hall. Currently available on Disney Plus, and also on Channel 4 for six more days. #FilmRecs25

unlabelledView post →The Night House (2020) was filmed in Syracuse and Skaneateles Lake and for all the work they did to set it specifically in those locations, the fact the lead is constantly running around the bottom of the lake to the other side completely pulled me out of the movie

unlabelledView post →#Filmsky #MovieChallenge Film 2: First watch of The Night House. Psychological horror that neatly pivots from an exploration of grief/hallucination story into something very different. Rebecca Hall carries the story very well which, to its credit, leaves the audience to piece it together. 7/10

unlabelledView post →17 / #100HorrorMoviesin92Days 'The Night House' (2020) Dir. David Bruckner A slow and somewhat suspenseful story with a good performance by Rebecca Hall. There were some inconsistencies though that made the ending seem ridiculous. It's okay for a one time watch. #Filmsky #Horror #HorrorSky

unlabelledView post →Put it in my veins. Rebecca Hall is right there with the heavy hitters like Meryl Streep and Viola Davis, to me. When she’s doing a genre film, it’s a must see now. The Night House and Christine are excellent films, and Resurrection is a genuinely brilliant film and performance. She got the goods

The use of environment to create danger. The duplicated house puzzle. The vibes. One of my absolute favorites from recent years. #HorrorSky #FilmSky
unlabelledView post →there's already a TON of The Void floating around The Night House (the best horror film of the 2020s I've seen so far) and I feel like this blend of elements would fit Bob actually quite well

unlabelledView post →Got nothing to do tonight? Here’s some movie recommendations! Highly recommend giving The Night House a watch. Underrated imo. I’m currently watching I Saw the TV Glow on Max myself. Where each movie is streaming is listed in the alt!
unlabelledView post →Thanks to the recommendation from @theharvestmaid.bsky.social, I watched The Night House. A fine horror film, reminds me a bit of The Babadook. I would NOT watch them back-to-back. It was filmed about an hour from my home, so the lake and woods look familiar. Extra creepy content for me!

Next movie choices: Last Night in Soho, The Autopsy of Jane Doe, The Night House, or No One Will Save You. I should really figure out a good way to do polls...
unlabelledView post →Every haunted house movie is the same. Some ghost is gently pushing coffee mugs off the counters until it realizes it's the last 20 minutes of the movie and can suddenly hurl entire dressers up a flight of stairs or whatever. The Night House desperately wants to be an "elevated horror" version of this kind of story but the trope is ultimately inescapable. #Movies #TheNightHouse https://letterboxd.com/rodhilton/film/the-night-house/
