unlabelledView post →Just watched Longlegs and oof. It's not FAIR to say this movie was made from David Fincher's bathwater, but I want to say it to be mean. 😒 I really liked Gretel & Hansel, and this movie had a lot of things I'm generally into, but was off juuuust enough to me to make it frustrating.
unlabelledView post →Thirty minutes until we begin GRETEL & HANSEL for #FolkHorrorFriday. If you've never joined us before, the movie is available to stream for free on Tubi, and we will post along using the hashtag. Starting at 9pm ET!

unlabelledView post →More horror film fans should be talking about Oz Perkins. GRETEL & HANSEL, THE BLACKCOAT’S DAUGHTER, and I AM THE PRETTY THING THAT LIVES IN THE HOUSE. An extraordinary run! Can’t wait for his next film, Longlegs, starring Nic Cage!
unlabelledView post →8 minutes late to Gretel & Hansel for #folkhorrorfriday, but I'm not watching on Tubi so I'll catch up via no commercials as it goes. Had to watch Alyssa Liu crush it on the free skate real quick, Oaktown represent! Let's dig into this now and see I think the last Oz Perkins film I've not seen.

unlabelledView post →This just came to my mind out of nowhere: for those who enjoyed Longlegs, I would suggest you Oz Perkins' another fantastic horror movie: Gretel & Hansel. Severely underrated
unlabelledView post →Gretel & Hansel is Osgood Perkins most underrated film ✨
unlabelledView post →Watched Gretel & Hansel and I quite liked it. It's a simple narrative w/strikingly beautiful (tho also simple) visuals. If you're in the mood for a dark fairy tale, I def recommend it. It's a quiet but tense movie, I don't think it dragged at all, but if you want jump scares, etc, look elsewhere. 📽️
unlabelledView post →This was OsBad Perkins final strike with me. I just do not vibe with his movies at all (Gretel & Hansel was solid, but that’s it).
unlabelledView post →We quite enjoyed watching LONGLEGS for date night. That was a fun time - Perkins has such a distinctive style in each film. I'm excited to show @genevrael.bsky.social GRETEL & HANSEL and THE BLACKCOAT'S DAUGHTER.
unlabelledView post →42. THE BLACKCOAT'S DAUGHTER Not the least bit surprised that LONGLEGS turned out to be an instant classic for me because I remember how I felt when I saw this brilliant film -- I knew Oz Perkins would deliver again and again. (He did. This could be about GRETEL & HANSEL, another instant classic.)

unlabelledView post →ultimately I'd characterize The Monkey (2025) as a failed experiment, I liked it better than Long Legs but I get the sense if I ever get around to that Gretel & Hansel movie it's gonna go in that kind of bin where Oz Perkins tries to find a marketable center to his eccentricities
unlabelledView post →Gretel & Hansel is Osgood Perkins best movie by a landslide.
unlabelledView post →#Horror365Challenge #98 Gretel & Hansel. Catching up on some Oz Perkins i missed. As always he makes an entertaining film #MutantFam I love it when they take the time to make it their own. This was filled with love. #IPFreely #15

unlabelledView post →12. Longlegs (2024) ⭐⭐⭐⭐🌗 Bumping this one up by a half star after a third viewing. (Did the same for Gretel & Hansel yesterday.) Such a great vibes-horror film. Legitimate chiaroscuro in the image! Might double feature this one with The Monkey tonight.

unlabelledView post →Letterboxd Last Four Watched. Catching up on the work of Oz Perkins prior to the Longlegs screening on July 8--something I should've done long before now. After Gretel & Hansel with Alice Krige, I'll have seen everything. He's already at work on Film #5: an adaptation of Stephen King's The Monkey. 🐵
unlabelledView post →MOVIE RECOMMENDATION: Gretel & Hansel (Prime Video) a fresh take by Osgood Perkins on an old tale. #scriptsky

unlabelledView post →So I finally watched Gretel & Hansel (2020) yesterday, and like it wasn't perfect but I actually think a lot of the criticisms I've seen of this movie are kind of unfair?
unlabelledView post →Horror Released Jan 31: 5th Anniversary GRETEL & HANSEL An Oz Perkins film starring Sophia Lillis & Samuel Leakey in the title roles w/ a chilling performance by Alice Krige mixed in. The script is by Rob Hayes, who puts the darkest spin on the Brothers Grimm story. #HorrorMovieAnniversary
unlabelledView post →I loved Longlegs. I liked Gretel & Hansel. I haven’t seen The Blackcoat's Daughter. The short clip they dropped made this look insane. The trailer is off the wall and I’m very happy to know the movie keeps the same pace. Because I’m very excited for this one.
unlabelledView post →Avoiding watching the trailer for the new Oz (Osgood now?) Perkins film because I'm near certain it's going to be great. Incredibly consistent and impressive filmmaker so far, likely rewatching Gretel & Hansel tonight. Seemed unfairly judged, too kid friendly for some

unlabelledView post →(41/54) 12. Gretel & Hansel (2020) Not to be mistaken with the earlier Hansel & Gretel (2007). Movie in general has great imagery, & some great liminal vibes, by the Blackcoat's Daughter director earlier (who's also behind Long Legs), the Fairy Tale motif gives liminal whimsy.
unlabelledView post →Oz Perkins film ranking: 1) Longlegs 2) The Blackcoat’s Daughter 3) Keeper 4) Gretel & Hansel 5) The Monkey 6) I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives In the House To be fair, I saw Pretty Thing only once and maybe wasn’t in the right frame of mind for it at the time. Needs a rewatch.

unlabelledView post →I AM THE PRETTY THING THAT LIVES IN THE HOUSE? Good movie. GRETEL & HANSEL? Good movie. LONGLEGS? Good movie. THE BLACKCOAT'S DAUGHTER? The best movie. THE MONKEY? TBD.
unlabelledView post →Feast your word on this beautiful madness from director Osgood Perkins (Longlegs, Gretel & Hansel) It's his adaptation of the iconic Stephen King short story from Skeleton Crew. The clip is REALLY good, trust me. You'll love the ending 😁 youtu.be/8eP68XVvwZg?...
unlabelledView post →very happy that Oz Perkins is seeing $$$ success with Longlegs, but I just watched Gretel & Hansel, & now I want to live in a world where this (reductive / redundant movie math alert) Juraj Herz / German Expressionism / Night of the Hunter mash-up is the money maker

unlabelledView post →Horror Movie recommendations day 9 is Gretel & Hansel It's a slow burn, but an amazing retelling of Hansel & Gretel. Definitely not the colorful candyland interpretation I grew up with as a child. Whenever I wear Nirvana French Grey perfume I think of these characters. Damp, dark and earthy.
unlabelledView post →For Day 5 of #HQHalloween, we’re offering you a seat at the table. Any movie with a spread will do, so why not revisit the sumptuous GRETEL & HANSEL?
unlabelledView post →Gretel & Hansel also due for a reevaluation! I think a perfect "bridge" movie for kids looking to do Big Kid Horror but, ya know, not Terrifier lol.
unlabelledView post →thank you! I honestly thought Longlegs was a mess, not a fan personally, I still need to see Gretel & Hansel and Keeper though currently my favorite Perkins movie is I Am The Pretty Thing That Lives In The House

unlabelledView post →GRETEL & HANSEL It's easily Oz Perkins's best film and features a haunting soundtrack by ROB
unlabelledView post →I didn't regret it but I didn't quite like it either. It had a few good visuals. It was fine. His films do look nice. I actually walk back what I said earlier a little bit. I forgot I enjoyed Gretel & Hansel. That was probably his best film for me. But most of the time, they fall flat with me.

unlabelledView post →Oz Perkins’ KEEPER: I liked it, but it could have strived to be more than what it was. Thought the woodland setting was underutilized, as most of the film is confined to the house, tho that was probably intentional. Ranked between Gretel & Hansel and The Blackcoat’s Daughter. #filmsky #moviesky 👍
unlabelledView post →This reminds me that I'm probably due for a GRETEL & HANSEL rewatch. I try every now and again to see if I can vibe with the film more. The answer is typically, as with so many things, "It's fine!"
unlabelledView post →One of the great visuals from Gretel & Hansel (by Osgood Perkins), which I thought was pretty interesting a film (watched it earlier this month).
unlabelledView post →This kind of describes the film Gretel & Hansel 😅
unlabelledView post →Beginning to think I just may not be into Oz Perkins' films. I liked Longlegs, but now I'm questioning how much of that was my love for Nick Cage... My ★ review of Gretel & Hansel on Letterboxd #filmsky
unlabelledView post →Capsule review of Longlegs (2024) When critics love a horror film, you know it can't be very good. I liked Perkins' previous film, Gretel & Hansel. And I loved the first half of this film. Then it fell apart. But if you *don't* like horror, you might like it. psychotronicreview.com/short-takes/...
unlabelledView post →Watching a lil' Borg Queen brilliance in Gretel & Hansel. I fucking love this movie. Watched Neon Demon before this. I think I'm having a women-driven horror marathon at this point. Love it! What's next? youtu.be/QZblQLhKcZQ?...
unlabelledView post →I saw both Malignant and Gretel & Hansel at the little 8-screen theatre in my neighborhood! If I recall correctly, the latter was the last movie I watched in a theatre pre-lockdown
unlabelledView post →Despite actually making a film here (2020s Gretel & Hansel), Osgood Perkin's Longlegs is the first of his films to get an Irish cinema release, on July 12th. (Scary, loud) trailer below. www.youtube.com/watch?v=OG7w...

unlabelledView post →@neilhimself.neilgaiman.com, have you seen Oz Perkins’s film GRETEL & HANSEL? I’m crazy about it. The composition, the lighting, the soundtrack (a favorite), and the performances are wonderful, especially Alice Krige.
