So I did end up refunding this game, but only because I thought the game would be different from what it is. But I do think it's a great game for what it is! I thought it would be more towards the ARPG side, where you go slay monsters gather stuff and go back to your almost fully automated factory. Slaying monsters was sadly not what I experienced and the automation seems to be very lmited. If you like a chill game where you go gather resources go back to your base and brew potions this…

This is a weird little game. It mostly involves gathering resources with some ARPG-like skills, though the only combat is against hostile plants. There is an automation element, but it is honestly very minor. You only have a little bit of space to build with, and all your production lines are severely limited by the rate at which you manually gather resources. There's also a very small bit of shopkeeping where you choose which products to manufacture and sell. Gameplay is split across days…

A cosy adventure awaits in this melting pot of genres. You’ll be automating production lines, collecting various ingredients, crafting unique items, and meeting customer needs. Don't get fooled by a couple of well-taken screenshots on the store page: this game is very shallow and linear. There's so little content, that they had to pad all of it with some grind, or MMM would barely qualify as a game otherwise. Uninspired fetch quests aside, your two only jobs in the game are running around gathering stuff, and building trivial "assembly lines" to make potions. You don't get to figure out the prices, you don't get to haggle with the customers, you don't get to advance a…

There's an obvious comparison to be made here with Potionomics; in both cases you are an inexperienced potion-maker trying to make a living by brewing and selling potions for adventurers. But in terms of gameplay they are quite different: Whereas in Potionomics most of your efforts go into the selling with a (really good) haggling card game, in Magical Mixture Mill, the selling is very simple, and the efforts go into actually brewing potions with complicated automated alchemical apparatus.…

Game is very slow to start, and has the unfortunately common practice of only allowing saving at the end of a day and not at any time. Not anywhere good enough to be worth the progress loss.

It's not bad, but if they renamed it "Grind all the materials you get by the time your 10 hours in forever" it would also be fitting. I wasn't going to review at first because I thought it was still in EA. It ain't and this is what your getting. The entire area you can explore isn't that big and you get warp beacons you can utilize to hop around the map. You will gather resources in the various areas where they will grow specifically. After a while they grow back, and you got to go farm more.…

It's cute and functional, but overall just not a lot of fun. Everything turns into a bit too much of a grind and even progressing feels like you've made more work for yourself. Most of the game is just running around and grinding components. The rest is micromanaging inventory space and moving things between boxes. Oh, and unclogging broken equipment is a lot of fun when you've got one wrong component stuck somewhere. Had a few bugs here and there, like not being able to interact with customers…

With almost 25 hours in this game feels weird to not leave a better review. However, the magical mixture mill was not what I originally thought it would be. The game lends itself to a cozy feel of collecting ingredients while navigating a colorful landscape. Most objectives are *craft this many of this potion for this person* and the customer system seemed weird, as there are only a handful of customers that actually visit your shop regularly. Automation system was rigid and simple, which did…

I bought this unsure whether I'd like it or not based off other people's reviews, and now I have played it at least a little almost every night since then. That being said, this game definitely isn't for everyone. I would say the biggest gameplay focuses are the workshop/automation mechanics (setting up your brewing stations, figuring out storage, etc.) and then gathering resources. And boy howdy are you gonna need resources. I don't even typically take to automation games, but this one lured…

Things I wish I knew before purchasing the game: There is an Asian man named Zen with giant squinty eyes There is a heavily-accented black woman portrayed as a shaman that literally says “boo boo doo doo” over and over again. There’s a druid that “identifies” as a fairy dragon. At its core there is a lovely little game here. The building is easy and quick. It offers a great deal of complexity without becoming overwhelming. There is a decent sized map to explore and shortcuts to unlock.…

This game gets really tedious, especially in the end game, that I ended up quitting from the sheer grind. It feels so unrewarding to play. They keep moving the goal posts with the endless amounts of objectives! You think you're finally at the finish line when you pay the membership fees for the alchemist society, only to get slapped in the face with more stupid quest objectives to actually get the membership ughhhhhh There's also serious lack of QOL to speed up the gathering and production…

While this game has some great graphics, models, sound effects and concept for an automation game - it's not very rewarding in the lore department; the characters are dry, the plot is thin (you have a cheesy cliché memory loss backstory and that's it, which is just lazy writing in my books), there is no future goal to work towards or feel of progress other than more machines that feel like a chore swiftly. If there was a good balance of activity to counter it, I'd recommend it. Devs, please…

I like this game, but it's definitely not for everybody. It's very, very grindy, the characters aren't especially interesting, and the quests are pretty much all the same. Did I mention it's grindy? Very grindy. However, I do enjoy the discovery and experimentation to find all/best recipes, as well as the small challenge in setting up an efficient workshop. I do wish there were more blueprints that would add logic gate types of functions into the mix, though! Overall, I enjoyed it for those…

This is a hidden gem game in my opinion. The graphics is really neat and the whole game feels responsive and polished. It combines simple but interesting automation and factory building mechanics with exploration and ingredient gathering. Different areas and biomes all feel unique and there is no copy/paste with recolor for different tier items. There are some areas that lacking: the quests could use a rework to feel more interesting, and the shop could have some upgrades and be more…

I dont know, i palyed this game rougly a year ago when it was still in early access. The amount of bugs still existing ingame are worrying and annoying. Worrying, because the game is released now, and I dont expect that much of a polishing from now on. Especially considering how the game has improved since a year ago.

This is a nice little chill game. Have fun and enjoy, do not stress out over potions it all works itself out and you will find them all. Even through it is not multiplayer, my wife and I compare notes and designs with each other. We do wish for them to make a co-op mode. HINT! HINT! You can play for hours or just a quick day or two in game time.

The only thing really miss is a "todo list" like in satisfactory to make it easier to keep track of what materials you need for so and so. But that is more QoL than a missing feature. TL;DR: a great recommendation. The first 10h were very addictive - kinda like "My time at Sandrock" - just barely any relationships, compensated with much better crafting and resource gathering. The game does not overstay its welcome: it is more of a tight 50h of fun, rather than a factorio epic. Almost everything can be learned or discovered in-game, I only needed to google "how to find truffles" but that was it. There is a lot to do with a limited amount if resources, so you really get to…

The last time any update was drop was December 2024, so this is likely the final state of the game goign forward. My only complain is that the game really doesn't teach you how to play. Dev has not done an update since July so game is moving very slowly. Very grind based constantly running back and forward to get things. The Magical Mixture Mill is a game with some of my favourite stuff: potions, magical fantasy, and a cute visual style! The game is solid and charming enough if you're into the fantasy of brewing potions and having a little shop. The many sound effects are especially wonderful. Really well done! Execution-wise, its flawless. Great unintrusive music and sounds, great controls, great graphics. Gameplay-wise, also flawless. You can collect dozens of things, but not all of them are mixing ingredients - there's materials, edibles and ingredients. This game is a slog and quite infuriating. An unclear tutorial, I had to look up on youtube to complete it. A terrible camera angle which makes building and maintaining harder than it should be and the game overall doesn't respect your time as a player. You will grind and grind for nothing. I decided to push forward when I seen that I'd past the refund point, and I wish I didn't. I'm done with this boring mess. Not worth the money I spent.

Magical mixture mill is a fun, easy and relaxing potion shop and factory game with some beautiful aesthetics and light automation. The main draw of the game for me was collecting all the reagents to fill out the "shroompedia", discovering new areas, talking with funny characters and slowly optimizing my mixture mill until I had enough optimization to bulk produce any potion I needed. Pretty fun game! Has a lot of potential. Some parts of the beginning of the game are a bit confusing, like new quests don't pop up on the side when you're already following one (and you have to go to your map to see them), and the old witch lady tells you that you need sand/glass to make bottles, yet you cannot make bottles until you make flasks which use fiber, not glass. You also run out of inventory constantly. But so far the factory system and shop seems fun, excited to do more :)

Grinding for materials is extremely satisfying to the point that I'd rather harvest the needed materials myself rather than automate or buy them. There is no energy system so your only limitations are bag space and time. Brewing the best potions is also very fun because you could be creative on how to get the right power, flavor, and ingredient depending on what you have.

It just felt like it wasn't totally committed to a factory style /shop game so i wasnt sure what i was playing. It was still cool has a ton of potential but needs some time in the oven.
