unlabelledView post →I am delighted to see Master and Commander there, and ranked so highly, as it's pitch perfect (first seen as an in-flight film on a turbulent flight, and the best distraction from my usual terror). Also glad to see The Legend of 1900 and of course Apocalypse Now (never get off the boat, indeed).
unlabelledView post →Their casting was my favorite thing about the movie. Pruitt Taylor Vince is always great (see The Legend of 1900)..(Seriously. See it) but the casting of Neva Howell as Martha was perfect.

unlabelledView post →I honestly don't know why it took me THIS long to finally watch #Malèna...? Esp. since Giuseppe Tornatore's The Legend of 1900 is one of my all-time favourite films, and I've thought of Monica Bellucci as one of the finest looking women in the world for ages. 😳 But better late than never. 📽️🎞️
unlabelledView post →L is for The Legend of 1900. This soundtrack, by the inestimable Ennio Morricone, along with a fascinating lead performance by Tim Roth has led this film to be a fan favorite, despite a very mixed critical response. Do yourself a favor and look up ‘Playing Love’. #filmsky
unlabelledView post →Have you seen The Legend of 1900? Starts off a little corny, but it's the saddest most beautiful little movie. And Tim Roth is great in it.

unlabelledView post →I have two separate Chinese friends - never met eachother, different age, different gender, different occupation, from different parts of the country - who call 'The Legend of 1900' their favourite ever movie. An American film that, by all accounts, isn't all that well known back home.
unlabelledView post →@witcan74.bsky.social Have you seen The Legend of 1900? One of my favourite movies. This scene is with the og Jelly Role Morton. This doesn’t give everything away but… Amazing cult film.
unlabelledView post →One of my all-time favorite movie fables, "The Legend of 1900" hits all my imagination receptors. It opens with immigrants on a ship 1st seeing Lady Liberty in NY harbor, and so resonates with our supposed "crisis" today. If you haven't seen it, I recommend it. Whimsical & charming, Tim Roth shines.
