60 of 114 · most liked first#nowwatching The House on Haunted Hill (1959) What a banger. I love this film, this is a comfort watch for me. Some true scream queens, jump scares, and Vincent Price being an absolute king. Also famous for 'Emergo' the wire-pulled skeleton. No one did it like William Castle lol. Any other fans?

And I'm intently focused on enacting a federal film tax incentive to bring back the jobs we've lost and to protect the exciting work this industry does.

This was a beautiful experience 🥹 the movie told an emotional narrative, and the soundtrack did an amazing job of helping to express said emotions! The movie also had a cool art style and a unique color palette! It was a fantastic movie!

neutral · AI labelView post →new📍post: i'm making a feature film! Quiet in the House is a psychological horror film about four women inspired and tormented by their manipulative theater director–and an unseen supernatural force. It's about performance, fantasy, sadomasochism, gender, & how you get a poltergeist.

Now that I'm reading the novel, I can see where Lily's opening voiceover in the film comes from.
neutral · AI labelView post →It's an atmospheric horror. Great for a first film. But I love "I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House" by Osgood Perkins and other 'boring' 'slow burn' 'moody' horror. Thought "Skinamarink" was really lazy however, loved 'Presence' by Soderbergh. Might just not be your thing.
positive · AI labelView post →Everyone’s mad they didn’t call “Other Mommy” “Other Mother,” but I’m upset they didn’t just stick with the original book title. “Incidents Around the House” isn’t simple horror-movie title enough I guess.
