The Green Hornet
Britt Reid, the heir to the largest newspaper fortune in Los Angeles, is a spoiled playboy who has been, thus far, happy to lead an aimless life. After his father dies, Britt meets Kato, a resourceful company employee. Realizing that they have the talent and resources to make something of their lives, Britt and Kato join forces as costumed crime-fighters to bring down the city's most-powerful criminal, Chudnofsky. unlabelledView post →I have double-checked my math and this actually happens *next* year. So right now I've been a full-time author *almost* as long as I was in the film industry. Weirdly enough, so much of this hinges on me remembering when The Green Hornet movie came out...
unlabelledView post →Just remembered the Green Hornet movie exists. I saw that thing in the dollar theater when it came out.
unlabelledView post →Say what you will about the Green Hornet movie with Seth Rogen, but at least that made Kato a partner and not so much a sidekick. In fact, the movie made Kato so badass that they had to hide his power level by having his weakness be that he can’t swim.
unlabelledView post →I always forget Michel Gondry directed The Green Hornet. And I kinda like this movie
unlabelledView post →#ZombieSteve52 Week 12: Superhero Ok maybe now that class is over I can catch up 😅 I struggled picking something. Modern superhero movies are fine I guess, I’ve definitely enjoyed some, but it isn’t a genre I seek out. I DO love old movies, though! 1940’s The Green Hornet was silly and fun.

unlabelledView post →Neville's post got me thinking back to Stephen Chow Sing-chi quitting as director and star of "The Green Hornet" film. He's never been the same since. And I genuinely wonder whether his turning to Beijing was affected by his treatment on the Hollywood production.
unlabelledView post →iirc the scene was meant to be on the set of The Green Hornet. You could watch like 5 and a third episodes of that in the time it would take to watch that movie
unlabelledView post →Regardless of what you may think of the rest of the film, Christoph Waltz's performance as a crime boss having an existential crisis over not being cool enough in The Green Hornet is fantastic.
unlabelledView post →I watched The Green Hornet from 1940, kind of fascinating to see a radio serial converted to a “photoplay” movie - lots of old timey long black sedans driving around corners super fast. Kato just drove the car, the Black Beauty, which made a crazy buzzing noise that would surely induce insanity.
unlabelledView post →This is amazing and wild! It’s a Hong Kong action movie inspired by Kato from The Green Hornet. So you’d think it would be kind of family friendly, but it’s full of blood and guts. So you’d think it would be pretty serious.. No, it’s also comedic. Plus a little sci-fi buddy cop, body horror and BDSM
unlabelledView post →I didn't *hate* the Seth Rogen movie. I thought it was a so-so action comedy. But I didn't want an action comedy. I wanted a series, modern take on the Green Hornet!

unlabelledView post →I've always screamed that it was a huge mistake that John Cho wasn't cast as Kato in the Green Hornet movie. It would have been far easier to teach him Hollywood style martial arts than it was to teach a martial artist American comedic timing. The fights were edited that made his skills pointless.
unlabelledView post →Action series “The Green Hornet” starring Van Williams debuted on ABC in 1966. Although it only aired for one season, it introduced Hong Kong film star Bruce Lee (who portrayed Green Hornet’s crime fighting partner Kato) and the martial arts genre to American audiences.
unlabelledView post →The only redeeming feature of the 2011 THE GREEN HORNET is Christoph Waltz's villain deciding he's too anodyne to be a memorable antagonist and spending much of the film working on his image.
unlabelledView post →Went with the Green Hornet. I actually enjoy that movie every once in awhile
unlabelledView post →Seth Rogen's "The Green Hornet". I was one of five people at a matinee and at around the halfway of the film, I walked out. I had better things to do.
unlabelledView post →I wanted that movie to be so good. I love the Green Hornet. So cool how The Green Hornet is actually related to the Lone Ranger... damn makes me sad now thinking about that movie again.
unlabelledView post →THEM: I really can't think of anything anything Christopher Waltz has done that's been bad. ME: Didn't you once say that there are zero redeeming qualities about the Green Hornet movie? THEM: Oh fuck off Wayne. Yeah, that's fair.
unlabelledView post →Probably is going to hard to shake the stink off of it, like The Green Hornet being tainted by that crappy Seth Rogen movie.

She appeared in such TV shows as Star Trek: The Original Series, The Green Hornet, Batman, Love, American Style, The Girl from U.N.C.L.E., and Get Smart. #OnThisDay
unlabelledView post →The Green Hornet is a very entertaining superhero movie
unlabelledView post →They usually are. Once watched The Phantom Creeps that was cut into a full length movie. That was just a mess. However if you can find it, check out Kato and The Green Hornet. They stitched together some episodes of The Green Hornet TV show into a two hour movie. Very funny!
unlabelledView post →Despite the topic having seemed closer to reality since those Soviet experiments of the 1920's (prompting comment from no less that George Bernard Shaw), was this the first disembodied brain/head movie? The Green Hornet would like a word about the poster, though.
unlabelledView post →Great commentary by Van Johnson on working on the Green Hornet with a young Bruce Lee. It’s an excellent working actor’s experience with a television series and the film industry. #VanJohnson youtu.be/GCQIp4s-P-8?...

unlabelledView post →If this counts as a superhero movie, I would like to nominate The Green Hornet. 14 year old me loved it and I'm positive that it does not hold up at all m.imdb.com/title/tt0990...
unlabelledView post →The Green Hornet (2011) is not a great film, but it does have Christoph Waltz in a great role as an incurably insecure gangster, who adopts an extremely lame supervillain costume and catchphrases, which even his own goons cringe at. Eerily prescient.
unlabelledView post →With “Napoleon Dynamite”, however, it’s more of a gray area. (If Hudson Hawk and the Green Hornet movie teach us anything, it’s never to give major blockbusters and/or recognizable IP sources to the directors of minor quirkmeister cult films.)
unlabelledView post →Everyone was too hard on the Green Hornet movie It's literally about 2 guys who be gay and do crime? (You could argue they were trying to fight crime but I think they committed more crimes than they stopped.) and it was pretty well directed on top of that
unlabelledView post →The most realistic part of the Green Hornet live action movie was the rich asshole realizing other people exist only after it affected him personally.
unlabelledView post →Is Lexi your oldest OC? I have one i haven't drawn in well over a decade. I created him in 2nd grade, called him Z-Ninja. Modeled him after the Green Hornet and the ninja outfit Power Rangers(from the 1995 movie)
unlabelledView post →But are you the actual Seth Rogen. Cause if you are. You shaped my childhood because I watched Superbad, Pineapple Express, knocked up, 40 yo virgin, I was born in 97 and watched these as they came out. And honestly The Green Hornet is a comfort movie😂😂 If you’re not Seth. Then all good. Lmao
unlabelledView post →Oh snap! I love most versions of The Green Hornet (Seth Rogen movie notwithstanding), but I ESPECIALLY love when he has the full face mask from the 1940s.
unlabelledView post →So today I learned they made a Green Hornet movie with Seth Rogen playing the Green Hornet and Jay Chou playing Kato, which sounds AI generated but it came out in 2011?!?

unlabelledView post →Seth Rogen is probably the most pure comic book fan that's working on Hollywood because he'll write a sincere movie about the TMNT The Green Hornet and then produce a tv show about a comic that absolutely hates superheroes. The man is just into everything.
