unlabelledView post →My buddy was a producer at Pixar and her big project was The Good Dinosaur so we got to go to the red carpet premiere here which was cool but the movie wasn't so good and she quit because she didn't want to make Cars 34 and now she's back to writing.
unlabelledView post →Toy Story's teaser is easily the odd one out of Pixar teasers. Up until The Good Dinosaur, Pixar teasers tended to use little to no footage of the film itself. But Pixar wasn't established as a CG film studio yet, and the CG here alone was enough to intrigue audiences.
unlabelledView post →I'm sorry but I will forever keep bringing this dumb movie up because it is one my biggest animation hot takes 🔥 The Good Dinosaur is Pixar's weirdest film and its aggressively minimalist plot is a breath of fresh air from their typical formula
unlabelledView post →Peter Sohn?!? Okay admittedly Elemental is literally the ONE Pixar movie I still haven't seen, and I know The Good Dinosaur was an extremely troubled production so MAYBE that wasn't his fault...but this literally feels like trading Remy for Emile. (Sohn voiced Emile, dat's da joak)
unlabelledView post →The internet is so reactionary about production processes that they see "The Good Dinosaur guy" and act like Peter Sohn is some Pixar boogeyman. When the guy basically got promoted to try to salvage that movie (and ended up making a ridiculously pretty film btw)
unlabelledView post →The Pixar film that didn't deal with ~DEI~ or ~wokeness~ was "The Good Dinosaur" which sucked ass and made no money, and everybody hated it.
unlabelledView post →my pet theory for where Pixar went wrong (besides the Disney purchase): The Good Dinosaur was a great movie aimed straight at kids. it explicitly wasn’t a melancholy treatment of parents’ middle age anxieties and so was derided. contrariwise, at Inside Out all the kids were climbing the walls bored.
unlabelledView post →Peter Sohn is officially set to direct ‘INCREDIBLES 3’ He previously directed ‘Elemental’ and ‘The Good Dinosaur’ (via www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie...)
unlabelledView post →I've long felt "The Good Dinosaur" is a far more thoughtful and well made film than most give it credit. It commits to the quiet atmosphere of its world and makes it the whole movie. Like the beginning of Wall-E, but throughout. A good video essay defending its skill youtu.be/vVSiyoz6XnA
unlabelledView post →this came up on a Vero stream and it was some obvious ones, Rise, Cats, Beauty and the Beast 2017, The Good Dinosaur, but I think the Rugrats movie might still beat them all. Rancid cartoon.
unlabelledView post →i guess it's like disney making a movie called Dinosaur which wasn't good and later releasing a movie called The Good Dinosaur which also wasn't
unlabelledView post →The only discourse I’m participating in today is that my son was mainlining Disney/Pixar movies today and Encanto was excellent and I have to say I get why people were disappointed with The Good Dinosaur, but if you manage expectations it’s a perfectly cromulent kid’s movie.
unlabelledView post →📍 Film Update The Good Dinosaur, Pixar's first box office flop, premiered 9 years ago today 🦕 The film caused a loss of an estimated $85 million. #movies #film #animation #pixar
unlabelledView post →This is also my reaction to the continued hate toward The Good Dinosaur. You would all be defending that movie to your last breath if it came out in 1988.
unlabelledView post →I don't think every new movie that comes out has to be 'innovative' or 'refreshing'. The Good Dinosaur looks amazing, has great animation and a cozy feel-good storyline. Didn't get enough praise imo.
unlabelledView post →1 like = one farming post about THE GOOD DINOSAUR, the Pixar movie with the dinosaur farming
unlabelledView post →Oh neat, I combined "The Wild Robot with "The Good Dinosaur" to make a movie title for a movie that doesnt exist. Cool cool cool.
unlabelledView post →He's now considering Django, Hateful Eight, and Jackie Brown one film so that his last movie can be The Good Dinosaur 2
unlabelledView post →We watched The Good Dinosaur tonight, and I can't believe that movie came out over a decade ago. The animations, specifically the natural elements and backgrounds, just absolutely insanely beautiful Also this scene was hilarious lol
unlabelledView post →The Good Dinosaur is weird. Like how is this a Pixar film. Someone crack some yuks. sheezus christ.
unlabelledView post →Happy 9th Anniversary to my favorite movie, "The Good Dinosaur". I can't believe it's almost been a decade.
unlabelledView post →Desperate times desperate measure etc. that’s a little bowl of chocolate chips and The Good Dinosaur movie for “dinner” cause someone was very upset and trying to fall asleep during dinner. Just need to make it until the sun sets.
unlabelledView post →I stand corrected. The worst Pixar movie is actually The Good Dinosaur. bsky.app/profile/brie...
unlabelledView post →Watching The Good Dinosaur for the first time and…. Like with Toy Story 4… I don’t get “cartoony but hyper realistic textures”. It destroys something storytelling wise to me. Like, that that Disney movie Dinosaur was “realistic” but wasn’t trying to be both cartoony and realistic
unlabelledView post →Who said that? They used examples from 1995 and 2015, all I did was update them lol. I'm pointing out how odd of a choice it is to use those instead of literally any of the movies you said (except The Good Dinosaur tbh).
unlabelledView post →And Luca, Soul, Coco, Onward, Elemental, Turning Red, Brave, The Good Dinosaur, and a bunch of other movies that come to mind when people say Pixar hasn't come out with anything original.
unlabelledView post →At this point, Pixar needs to do a multiverse (or time travel, depending on your Pixar universe theory) movie where they all have to team up to learn a lesson about life. Wall-E is there. Luca. Mei. The Good Dinosaur. The Tom Holland one from Onward. The Kyle MacLachlan dad from Inside Out 2.
unlabelledView post →29. I liked Pixar's The Good Dinosaur. Maybe my thoughts might change with a rewatch but when I originally saw it, it was a light, enjoyable movie 🤷🏼♀️ Memorable? Not at all, but I didn't care 😊
unlabelledView post →In art class we get to watch an animated movie every year for our finals but these dumbasses chose The Good Dinosaur. Like there were so many other options 🤦♀️
unlabelledView post →The Good Dinosaur (2015) is a human pet guy movie
unlabelledView post →yeah no, not since The Good Dinosaur has there been a Pixar movie that's clearly had some MASSIVE last-minute executive melding that scrapped and mutilated whatever the original concept of this story was
unlabelledView post →I still have not seen The Good Dinosaur. It’s the only Pixar movie — not counting Toy Story 5 — that I have not watched.
unlabelledView post →"Is Cars 2 pixar's worst movie?" The Good Dinosaur is right there
unlabelledView post →Elio admittedly doesn't rank terribly high on my Pixar ranking - for what it's worth, the film is middling at worst - but I do appreciate what the movie accomplishes. Especially in light of its troubled development in comparison to, say, The Good Dinosaur with had similar production problems.
unlabelledView post →Nothing is ever gonna surpass Tangled's budget. Plus, dude ignored the last Pixar film that was delayed and had a director change, The Good Dinosaur, didn't see that big of a budget increase.
unlabelledView post →The Good Dinosaur is honestly an underrated movie and while it was the first official PIXAR flop it did win over some people. A young Apatosaurus named Arlo gets lost and finds a cave-boy named Spot (with roles of boy and dog reversed) as they go on adventure to find Spot's family across the land.
unlabelledView post →I was literally about to say The Good Dinosaur is the worst Pixar movie and one of the most bafflingly bad movies I've ever seen, I am sorry but I think we are just not going to agree on this
unlabelledView post →i think about the pixar movie The Good Dinosaur a lot its a movie about the shift away from raising your child to be tough so they can “fight the world, be a man” its still about struggle, and overcoming odds, and growing, but its emotional strength, its understanding yourself better, its empathy
unlabelledView post →Hot take: This is not Pixar’s worst film. “The Good Dinosaur” is.
unlabelledView post →What movie death scene is seared into your memory? The Good Dinosaur Pixar gets credit for Up! being emotionally drenching but this movie... oh man.
unlabelledView post →Middle School: - A Christmas Carol (Jim Carrey ver) - Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story - Over the Hedge - The Lego Movie - The Peanuts Movie - Moana (2016) - Sing (2016) - The Good Dinosaur - High School Musical - Monsters Inc - Ever After - BEE Movie - The Lorax (2012) - Star Wars: A New Hope
unlabelledView post →my mom didn't make a lot when i was in highschool, but one day she treated the six of us kiddos to a movie trip- The Good Dinosaur All of us were ranting about how bad it was on the way home. She was PISSED that the one movie she was able to take us to was dogshit LMAO
unlabelledView post →#TavQOTD What Disney/Pixar movie would your Tav/Durge want to live in? Listen, it may not be the best, but man The Good Dinosaur would be prime real estate for Vrak. I'll still be salty how they dropped the ball for this, but big ol' Rex/Spino Vrak living off the land would heal me.
unlabelledView post →Today, I give Nash's Big Foot a really nice Hugs and I really love his Big T-Rex Feet very much from my favorite Disney Movie, The Good Dinosaur! 💙🐢👣🤗👣🦖🧡
unlabelledView post →One thing I never see brought up when people talk about modern Pixar is that it took A LONG time for them to make a movie with a child protagonist. Before The Good Dinosaur and arguably Inside Out the protagonists Pixar had were all adults.
unlabelledView post →The Good Dinosaur is a weird movie because it feels less like a movie and more like a tech demo for the environments
unlabelledView post →The Good Dinosaur 5/10: This film is one of the most confusing experiences of my life & I questioned my sexuality for years
unlabelledView post →Don’t ever let the 3.5yo that lives in my house hear you call The Good Dinosaur aka dinosaur movie “meh”
unlabelledView post →I realised this when I met an Arlo because The Good Dinosaur was his mum's favourite Disney film when younger. For everyone's mental health do not look up the year Good Dinosaur came out. That way lies only sadness.
unlabelledView post →I wrote this years ago after multiple people claiming The Good Dinosaur is the worst Pixar film (when Cars 2 still exists 🤮) So anyway, enjoy my rantings 😅 #author #writingcommunity #bookreview https://medium.com/@lukewhenderson/in-defense-of-the-good-dinosaur-43560f0ea18e
unlabelledView post →Made a decision recently to finally watch the handful of Pixar films I haven't seen yet. Decided to start with The Good Dinosaur. Why are people so mean to this film? It's great! Go watch it!
unlabelledView post →Yeah, Hoppers is not so good. I guess it's kind of like The Good Dinosaur, Pixar needed *something* out before a bigger movie, but I can see why it had a short theater run before coming to streaming. I don't care for the character design but I will say that it looks great.
unlabelledView post →"We're making a movie, not hundreds of millions of dollars in therapy." Um. Toy Story 3&4, Up!, Inside Out 1&2, The Good Dinosaur, Finding Dory, Coco, Soul, Luca, Turning Red... All beg to differ.
unlabelledView post →Anyways, years later, he decided to pitch his idea of his first film. And before anyone ask, no, The Good Dinosaur doesn’t count because…..
unlabelledView post →Development began in 2009 when he came up with the idea of how Dinosaurs live…IF the meteor didn’t hit the Earth. And so he and Peter Sohn began working on the film, now titled ‘The Good Dinosaur’ and aiming it for a Fall 2013 release, until pushed to a Summer 2014.
unlabelledView post →You know the only Pixar movie I’ve never seen is The Good Dinosaur? I’ve seen parts of it, but not the whole thing. Maybe, like Home on the Range for Disney, I should actually watch the damn thing, so I can say I’ve seen every Pixar movie.
unlabelledView post →What did we do to them to deserve this, friend? Brave, The Good Dinosaur, Toy Story all had me sobbing over kids’ movie.
unlabelledView post →why does rex look less like a cheap plastic toy than the dinosaurs in the movie The Good Dinosaur
unlabelledView post →They need to stop making movies look like 3D Steven universe/The Good Dinosaur. It looks dated and objectively uninteresting. Every time they try this, the movie flops.
