The Fourth Kind
Since the 1960s, a disproportionate number of the population in and around Nome, Alaska, have gone missing. Despite FBI investigations, the disappearances remain a mystery. Dr. Abigail Tyler, a psychologist, may be on the verge of blowing the unsolved cases wide open when, during the course of treating her patients, she finds evidence of alien abductions. From TMDB

I googled it and had to tell her it wasn't a true story, and she was very upset that a movie would lie to her. I think about this often lately.

unlabelledView post →Horror movies are cool to me because everyone has their own fears, so a movie that one person thinks is silly might deeply terrify someone else. My horror movies that absolutely TERRIFY me specifically are: The Fourth Kind Smile I'm talking terrified, takes a week for me to stop being jumpy
unlabelledView post →The aliens in The Fourth Kind! You never see them, the movie just suggests what they look like, so you can form a vague image but nothing concrete. You *do* see what they do to people though, and it's some of the scariest stuff I've ever seen put to film.
unlabelledView post →This is giving The Fourth Kind. This movie is better though. #FrightClub
unlabelledView post →I was homeless for a while in my early 20s. At one point, I used the last of my money to buy a theater ticket to a midnight showing, just to get out of the cold for a while. That movie was The Fourth Kind, and it freaked me the fuck out. Especially when I had to go back out into the night after.

unlabelledView post →I'm gonna have a bitch now. Was watching The Fourth Kind on Amazon Prime and there's on-screen text at the end of the film but Prime's 'up next' suggestions appeared by default and I couldn't read it. We had to remove 'up next' to read the text. Hate it when streaming services do shit like this.

unlabelledView post →Reading this only makes me hate The Fourth Kind more than I did writing this thread. The directors, writers, and cast could’ve done something real with this movie and they did the exact opposite.

unlabelledView post →The Fourth Kind It's honestly not a bad movie for what it is. It's a bit over the place but I feel like that's very intentional and even with that it wasn't hard to follow. An ok watch.
unlabelledView post →I've been reading this on my Kindle. Finally, I was able to pick up a paperback in NYC at Barnes and Noble. The cover is still freaky. The story behind it is insane and scary. It reminds me of the movie called The Fourth Kind. #booktalk #books
unlabelledView post →I remember when that movie The Fourth Kind came out but I had no idea how elaborate a deception it actually is, goes further than any found footage horror in trying to trick you into thinking its found footage is real
unlabelledView post →The Fourth Kind (2009) This is a weird one, cause like, it's not a very good movie, but it was still effective? I definitely got chills and was freaked out at times, while other times I was chuckling at stilted dialogue and bad acting. #MoviesWithVlad

unlabelledView post →The Fourth Kind is almost a good movie? It’s got some spooky images that I like but the format is stupid lol, pairing the “real footage” with the “dramatization” side-by-side at the same time is so needlessly silly that it breaks the illusion for me.

unlabelledView post →Agreed! I'm not a super huge horror fan but, I do love sci-fi horror (Alien, Predator, etc) and of course, found footage horror (Paranormal Activity, Cloverfield, Apollo 18). Scariest movie I've ever seen is The Fourth Kind but that would be because I have a specific phobia of alien abduction lol.

Before i saw it, i came into IMDb intending to read the comments of this movie, to get an idea of what it was like. I was instantly interested, and by 3:15 i was terrified, but then i…

It begins with a PSA with Milla herself saying everything you were about to see in the movie was true (it wasn't, the producers were sued) and there was a post-script at the end telling you to do your own alien research.
