The First Purge
To push the crime rate below one percent for the rest of the year, the New Founding Fathers of America test a sociological theory that vents aggression for one night in one isolated community. But when the violence of oppressors meets the rage of the others, the contagion will explode from the trial-city borders and spread across the nation. From TMDB

Day #311 "The First Purge" (Gerard McMurray/2018) This entry is mostly action but a little bit of horror/exploitation thrown in there for good measure. One thing's for sure, it's my favorite of the franchise!
unlabelledView post →no no i mean the movie CALLED 'The First Purge' rips. the first purge movie is ass
unlabelledView post →if we're comparing to One Night Only, i'd say that film has more lore than the first The Purge, but less lore than The First Purge
unlabelledView post →The Purge...begins! We're kicking off our watch of the full series with the first movie (not The First Purge) from 2013!
unlabelledView post →On our new episode, we're taking on The First Purge (the fourth movie) and wondering if this experiment was a success!
unlabelledView post →the guy who made The First Purge. Not the first Purge movie, the fourth Purge movie, but it’s called The First Purge.
unlabelledView post →I promise somebody in that White House caught The First Purge on HBO or something and came to Trump like IDEA. Bc what he's doing in DC is almost bar for bar the plot of that movie. Getting America to accept widespread violence by testing it on urban Black neighborhoods first.
unlabelledView post →Watching The First Purge and while this movie is about as subtle as sledgehammer they did just a montage of kkklansmen morphing into cops so
unlabelledView post →I think the first purge was among the most obvious, but even from the first movie I noticed them laying the foundation for the entire franchise. LOVED The First Purge. might be my favorite and I see why now lol
unlabelledView post →Now watching the fourth Purge movie, The First Purge (2018). New director for this one, but it's still written by the original guy. #Filmsky 📽️
unlabelledView post →#31DaysofHorror Day 12 - The First Purge (2018). The fourth Purge movie explores the origins of the annual night of legalised crime in a brash, fairly visceral action-horror. It’s not subtle, but feels more depressingly relevant with each passing year. #Horrorsky

Trumps playing his own board game and now wants to imprison Americans that are poor and live on the streets! Watch the movie “The First Purge” enlightening.

unlabelledView post →most people are surprised when I say The Purge movies have more hits then misses and THE FIRST PURGE is a legit trenchant 70s-style political pulp horror movie
unlabelledView post →i will say, despite my joke, The First Purge actually rules. they basically made a BLM movie, and it's really sick.
unlabelledView post →Watching the First Purge movie and realizing people would do this for way less than 5k now.
unlabelledView post →The First Purge has the writing, acting, and script of an asylum film
unlabelledView post →The Purge series seems eerily timely, (which is a terrifying sentence!) and The First Purge was a first time watch for me - how did you feel about this prequel? Would love to hear your thoughts! #film #movie #cinema #thepurge #thefirstpurge
unlabelledView post →Finishing up the last Purge movie, "The Forever Purge", and it's only second worst in the series. The worst, of course, is "The First Purge" where they tried to make Escape From New York from a resident's view... badly.
unlabelledView post →It’s also so close to the spirit of a subplot in The First Purge! Not a *great* movie, but i think it does well to explain why we dont see a lot of that kind of crime in the other Purge movies.

unlabelledView post →The Purge: Anarchy and The First Purge (which is annoyingly the fourth movie) are probably the best as standalone movies but the broader DeMonaco project is a kind of gesamtkunstwerk
unlabelledView post →Finished this a few days ago and I'm writing up my thoughts now. It didn't quite work for me. What did you think of The First Purge? #Movies #FilmSky #TheFirstPurge #ThePurge
unlabelledView post →this is one case where the sequels are way better than the original, especially The First Purge (the, uh... fourth movie)
unlabelledView post →I like most of them. The First Purge is an action movie with an intellectually challenged script, but it's really fun.
unlabelledView post →The fourth movie in the Purge series is called The First Purge, not to be confused with The Purge, which is the first Purge movie but not The First Purge.

unlabelledView post →— ‘THE FIRST PURGE’ (2018) the best film in the series, in my opinion. had no idea what to expect with this one, & i came out absolutely adoring it. great characters, wild story & gore. it’s just such a good prequel & entry for this franchise
unlabelledView post →NYC (and ASAP!) friends: next Saturday, Oct 19, I’m joining @thebaffler.com for a screening of THE FIRST PURGE and a Q&A about Staten Island and my recent essay at BAM. Would love to see you there! Tickets here: www.bam.org/film/2024/ba...
unlabelledView post →Oh there’s the first Purge movie (The Purge) & the fourth movie called The First Purge so it gets a little confusing. (I’m talking about the second one)
unlabelledView post →Movie of the night: The First Purge (2018). I want to rewatch the series at some point.
unlabelledView post →I appreciate a lot of what that movie did but you can tell by the ending that a white person made it because the not-Hillary lady won in a landslide The First Purge on the other hand, is timeless and it bums me out that we didn’t get to see him in The Spook Who Sat By The Door
unlabelledView post →It reminds me of "The First Purge" (movie), where the gangs weren't violent enough so they sent in the military goons.

unlabelledView post →#50 'The First Purge' (2018)- This movie felt a liiiittle too real in todays political climate, but I powered through it in an effort to get through this franchise. I thought this was well done and a lot of fun, albiet still feeling a little TOO much like reality at the moment. #Watchoween

unlabelledView post →Yeah, I agree! I try very hard to like Election, but some of the acting in that film makes it a very difficult watch. The First Purge, I think was the best after Anarchy. The Forever Purge I'm still on the fence about.

unlabelledView post →I think there’s a real need for what would be pretentiously describe as low brow progressive populism in film and tv, and the movies are very much that. The only one I think is just straight up bad is The First Purge. The rest are fun action/horror films.
unlabelledView post →The First Purge was really well done. I liked the TV series too 😕 First movie was ish and I hated the second.
unlabelledView post →The movies are surprisingly good and consistent although The First Purge (not the first movie) kinda retroactively makes the other ones look weaker
unlabelledView post →Is it just me, but does #TheFirstPurge seem like it could become the next Get Out in that it's a seemingly unassuming film that comes out of nowhere with a big, impactful, resonant racial and social message? http://bit.ly/2HcDSQK
