14 of 14 · most liked first• A post-apocalyptic adventure about travelling a dying world on a train. • I bought this game expecting some survival horror experience based on that -being in a moving homebase and maintaining it, making stops to scavenge supplies, to find survivors, all while fighting zombies along the way. Maybe something similar to This War of Mine, where you get a map with various locations, with various danger levels and interact with them because you need supplies to survive, and it is also how you get…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fine game, but conflicted in a couple of ways. Pros: - Good atmosphere. - Most of the hand-made pixel art is well done (there's also a lot of background assets which are scaled down higher res images, but it does help the hand-made stuff stand out). There were some minor issues like pixels being stretched on the sides of the main characters arm near their body when looking up and down, but not much of a distraction. - Nice attention to detail (little things like the footstep sounds…

unlabelledView post →Sadly underwhelming. I love the game premise, story, and art. But the gameplay is a bit disappointing. Maintaining the train isn't interesting, and you get the occasional text messages. The passengers chat but you're too busy taking care of the train. The could've been a great game where the train becomes a haven from all the spooky stuff outdoors, and you get emotionally attached to the train as you take care of it and it takes care of you. I hope the devs revisit the idea and reach its…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice little game but the main game loops is kind of boring. Finished it only because of the story ... And then was disappointed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this game when I was at my worst and I am so thankful that The Final Station exists. It taught me a lot about hope, how we help keep the world in motion and grievance. I strongly recommend everybody to play this from start to end, don't give up if you or the survivors keep dying, try your best to get supplies and keep trying. The soundtrack alone is legendary, it's still stuck in my head to this day. Really really great atmospheric soundtrack. Thank you DO MY BEST!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is ok. The part where you explore is good. I like the balance in this part: not too easy and not too hard. You can avoid enemies or try to get to every corner looking for supplies. The train part is stressful. As I get it, the idea is that you can chill while moving between the stations, listen to the survivors' stories and theories. But instead, you run like hell, bringing meds and food to those sitting and chatting survivors, fixing the train so that they don't die while sitting…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I personally consider that who made the script for this game is a genius, every character feels unique, the story really made me feel things I rarely feel with other games, and the gameplay is nice
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →NOT WORTH 15 Dollars!!!!! This game only has about 3 hours of gameplay. With that said, I enjoyed it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →absolutely amazing lttle gem, also amazing is how some thumbs downed it and wrote total essays for their explanations why, this game is epic and sorry if it failed your grand expectations, but sometimes less is more and this game is all about the subtleties and it sticks to that in every detail, it's kinda the point
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is so, so painful to rate. The pieces of the puzzle are all here. The music is genuinely great. The atmosphere, the art direction, the presentation. The writing, English translation aside, does things very few games can pull off: The Final Station is a straight-up masterclass in environmental storytelling, and I mean that. Very few games can tell their story through the world around you the way this one does, and this one just does it confidently and almost effortlessly. The gameplay…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Polished game with a story told in the background of the game. Good atmosphere. Needing to play the DLC 12 times to 100% achievements is kinda dire
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I haven't found a game like this. The storytelling is great and suspenseful, the world-building is amazing, and the gameplay is good. My only complaint about this game is that it's too short. I wanted to see more of this world.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A pretty decent game with a lot of things going for it, but the execution is somewhat weak and shallow. The good: - nice visuals and sounds; - a somewhat original take on the zombie apocalypse scenario; - a fascinating premise for the game loop. The bad: - the train segments executed poorly, as all your gameplay during such moments boils down to checking variables of your train, tending to passengers' needs and playing very simple mini-games. The devs tried to spice things up a bit by adding…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple gameplay (kind of platformer/shooter 2d), with a bit of train management - is ok - but what I like here is the story and climate, gets pretty interesting if you pay attention to details.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Boring. Average post-apocalyptic story, repetitive gameplay: walk, shoot zombies, loot stuff, keep walking. The story feels very stretched especially at Act 5 You will have plenty of time to think about your life decisions, like why you bought this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →God, I don't even know what to say. A really short game, but a masterpiece. Well worth the money.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely love this game, to the point where I've gifted it to 3 people. It's a shame that I can't play it due to the display issues I get when launching it (DX11 error)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I barely make reviews on games but this one i had to. One of the best story games i have hands down ever played. Blast start to finish. PLEASE give it a try
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I didn't like the game so it's a good thing I bought it on sale. By the time I realized how tediuos if not outright boring it was it was far too late to refund it. Anyhow, how to describe this.... The good stuff: 1. Never once did the game crash while I played it. 2. The controls are so simple that a child could play this as long as they could read and use their fingers. 3. Aiming is easy. Just move your mouse and click when ready to shoot or punch. 4. The music didn't suck. It wasn't…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great game with stunning backgrounds, nice music and melancholical atmosphere. Finished this game for the second time. The first time I didn't really get it, but if you pay enough attention to the indirect ways of storytelling, you get the more or less full picture. Like other people said, the train management system is poorly done: you'll have to skip most of the passangers' banter playing dumb mini-games and the power punch sometimes refuses to charge, but other than that it's a…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the final station, I have now played 3 times. I wished it had more recognition, much love to the devs.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For Goodness Sake DO MY BEST make another one! I fell in love with this game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One Part is a 2D platformer where you move with WASD and shoot or melee enemies or throw ♥♥♥♥ at them while walking down custom maps. It's just go there kill some enemies pick up some stuff get the code and then take the shortcut back. Second Part is train. You "manage" some passagiers and fix one subsystem of the train. Managing of passagiers is just give them food or heal bleeding ones. Little to no progression at all. You can occasionally buy weapon upgrades and you collect money for the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lovely adventure game. Highly recommend for some great storytelling. Backgrounds get pretty poggers too.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Final Station is an amazing, story-driven horror survival game. I won’t get into specifics, but here’s a quick intro to the game. You play as a train driver who operates a special train, the Belus 07, taking it to Wilstream to test it. During the first test drive, something seems to go wrong. The second visitations begin, starting an apocalyptic-like event, which this train was made for. After that, you travel through train depots and facilities, finding survivors and caring for them on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Final Station's base game is okay. It's easy to understand, repetitive but short enough to be a positive experience. As for it's DLC, its 12 levels where you can carry only one survivor with you. Theres an achievement for each survivor, but no matter who you pick, the end is the exact same. So the DLC was a huge stretch. I recommend this game simply because it is not a bad game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Final Station, developed by Do My Best and published by tinyBuild, is an evocative blend of survival horror, narrative-driven exploration, and management simulation set against the haunting backdrop of a collapsing world. It invites players into a grim, pixel-art vision of the future, where humanity faces extinction from an otherworldly infection known as the “Second Visitation.” You play as a lone train conductor, tasked with delivering crucial cargo through a series of increasingly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a great little game! Super creepy and cool story. I love pixel art and trains so this was a no-brainer for me to pickup. The only issue I have is the English is a little hard to understand at a couple points, its clear the writer/programmer is not a native english speaker so sometimes text may seem weird or not worded correctly but you can always get the idea of the meaning. 100% recommend for those that are looking for a lightweight, fun, creepy, pixel game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing game, absolute masterpiece. The dlc is amazing, the story is amazing
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a really good story in a short game. i enjoyed the gameplay loop and the way of telling the story, though at times certain train management tasks prevent you from hearing all of the details. i want a game to be able to explain its story to me, but some aspects of this i'm okay with not fully knowing - some of the appeal to me is the dread of a setting like this not telling you every piece of what caused this situation. i had a similar feeling playing 'you have one chance' back on newgrounds.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a waste of money and a waste of storage space. It's not fun at all.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I guess I'm way too impatient for anything interesting to happen to run around reading chat boxes with information. I gave this 20 minutes and nothing happened that gripped my interest. Maybe something interesting happens later, but the game lost me way before getting there, sorry.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A really cute little game about riding the rails through the end of the world. The art style of this game is immaculate, you can make out a lot of distinct features throughout the game just with a few pixels denoting it, and it has a lot of heart in it's details as well, with some of the parallaxes you pass through on the rails sections being worthy of putting as your desktop background. The gameplay is simple, strike out from the station to find materials as well the code to unlock your…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Neat little game. I can't say the story really gripped me completely, but it was interesting and fun. Its simple but works well, and the art is definitely a solid highlight!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have 2 stations left I think, but idk if I will finish the game. The combat feels like I am cheesing everything to get by, by either ladder riding or, well, dying and coming back with meta knowledge. There is a little luck too, there was one section I got absolutely mauled, then the next try not a scratch, which unless I'm missing something, I have to sometimes put myself in spots were that is the "difficulty". You literally have to put yourself in a room full of enemies cuz you can't shoot…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have really enjoyed playing this game and would recommend it as one to play. I did purchase it in the sale but I would happily have paid more for it (it was advertised to me through the sale - previous to this I hadn't come across this game). It's not a long game, but I think that works well to the story of the game and it would become too repetitive if it was longer, I feel. The premise is really simple: a country is experiencing an apocalypse where people are changing into things that are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Been playing The Final Station - awesome game with rich, haunting environments and a great soundtrack - highly recommended! Anyone got any similar recommendations? #IndieGames #HorrorGames #Recommendations
unlabelledView post →Have you played The Final Station? It's a pixel-graphics game where you play as a conductor of the last train making its route through a country experiencing an apocalyptic event. It's got a bit of passenger and train management, as well as scavenging for resources and shooting weird monsters.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’ve finished The Final Station. I was blown away by its journey and storytelling. I have so many questions, but apparently the DLC answers the most important ones. I’d really love to compose music for a game like this. If there are any developers looking for a composer, I am here.
unlabelledView post →It's not a very long game and not particularly challenging... after you get good at melee you don't even need to manage your ammo very much. There are no puzzles except for a few features on the train you need to maintain, but those are hardly puzzles. Managing people's health and food is not particularly difficult either. The game is still enjoyable and the story and world it creates is satisfying. I had a good time and am glad I played it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is definitely worth playing through. The graphics have a lovely stylised look, the gameplay is enjoyable and intuitive, the storyline is interesting, and the music is good. The only slight issue is that it can be tricky to follow the passengers’ conversations in the train carriage, but that’s just a minor annoyance~
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent world building the backgrounds make the world feel very alive and massive despite you only ever exploring at most a few city blocks of each area
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my favourite games of all time Even thought theres 1001 ways to make it better, i still prefer this The unmatched vibe and story of this game still make it so good to play even after i finished it over 5 times
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beautiful pixel art, amazing atmosphere, tense resource management, and a mystery that kept me hooked till the end. The ending felt a bit too abrupt, but the journey was absolutely worth it. If you like atmospheric indie games, don't skip this one. 8.8/10 👍
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best pixel games done.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's FINE, I guess. Kind of feels empty and barebones but everything works fine the gameplay loop is fine and everything is... fine. A little too much yapping for story exposure. Boring stuff. tl;dr This is nothing to write home about but eh, it's cheap enough these days so I'll leave the decision making to you and your personal tastes.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay BROTHER I REALLY DON'T KNOW HOW THIS GAME IS NOT MORE POPULAR How many years came by, i didin't enjoy a game more then this 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Muy bueno, historia un poco confusa con mucho lore.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Final Station has immersed me in a world I wish I could know more about. The strongest aspects of the game are undoubtedly the story, lore and art. All of these aspects come together perfectly to build a beautiful and immersive experience, and it succeeds in keeping the player on it's toes after the game has ended. The gameplay systems are rather simple, mostly shoot and throw objects. The variety of weapons is in similar fashion, very simple. I would say this simplicity is not…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Final Station exhibits a brutal pragmatism in both its visuals and gameplay. This contrasts sharply with the scale and depth of the story unfolding around you. It is a grand vision constrained by its own production. There are some underdeveloped systems and the combat can be finicky. But it does earn its place as a quality indie.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →when you can finish the entire main game in 5 hours while getting every achievement of the base game, this game is 100% NOT worth the price tag, if it was on sale though for 7 dollars or less I would recommend otherwise, this game just doesn't do anything crazy for me to love it. I did like that if you read the messages you can see and read some crazy stories but otherwise it is not good enough for me to recommend.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Streaming tonight at 7PM CDT (about 3 hrs from this post)! Scratching another game off the list by trying out The Final Station! It's another train game. I think it's sort of a survival-type game, too. I have two of these somehow. Huh. Streaming at: twitch.tv/lunariandelia
