The Final Conflict
Damien Thorn has helped rescue the world from a recession, appearing to be a benign corporate benefactor. When he then becomes U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Damien fulfills a terrifying biblical prophecy. He also faces his own potential demise as an astronomical event brings about the second coming of Christ. From TMDB

neutral · AI labelView post →I'm as broken hearted about Sam Neill as the rest of you; Dean Spanley+ Possession reviews this the week, but let's celebrate his chilling turn as Damien in the much maligned Omen III: The Final Conflict. To be so memorable in such a silly movie proved his class... film-authority.com/2026/07/13/o...

neutral · AI labelView post →Films to Books 📚=🎞️ Omen III: The Final Conflict (aka The Final Conflict) (1980) by Gordon McGill is the novelization of the film (1981). Interestingly, the book departs in key ways adding a series of grotesque deaths and adds an epilogue that adds much to the tale. ☦️🩸😈 #filmsky #booksky
neutral · AI labelView post →Please check out our Summer of Sam Neill episodes. An actor who made every movie better just by being in it, and then made it even better by giving his all. Here's our episode on THE FINAL CONFLICT, a movie most people won't praise Neill for. I've always loved him in it.
neutral · AI labelView post →In tribute to the wonderful Sam Neill we'll be replacing our usual TV Wednesday slot for OMEN III: THE FINAL CONFLICT which is the first film I remember seeing him in. He's a quite swoonsome old devil too! Join #thefilmcrowd this Wednesday 15th July from 8pm BST! www.dailymotion.com/video/xa0nxye
neutral · AI labelView post →Fucking hell. And I grew up seeing Sam Neil in Jurassic Park. I even liked him in Omen III: The Final Conflict where he was a great Damien Thorne. And it looks like for my Horror movie marathon, I'll be rewatching In The Mouth of Madness in his honor. RIP Sam Neil
neutral · AI labelView post →There is a huge irony that the first time I became aware of Sam Neill was for his role in Omen III: The Final Conflict, where he played the literal antichrist. The actor himself by all accounts was about as far from that as one can imagine.
neutral · AI labelView post →Ah fuck, that’s Sam Neill away. There’s going to be a lot of Jurassic Park chat today but I also loved him as an adult Damien in The Final Conflict, the third Omen film, where he delivers this amazing heel promo. RIP youtu.be/7wf8eKx2Mho?...
neutral · AI labelView post →This movie serves as a nice bridge between The Omen and Omen III: The Final Conflict, both of which I like better. But I do love emo goth teen Damien.

neutral · AI labelView post →TRIVIA: The TV series ‘Damien’ is a direct sequel to the 1976 horror film ‘The Omen’. It ignores the events of the 2006 film reboot, as well as the events of ‘Omen II: Damien’ (1978), ‘The Final Conflict’ (1981), and ‘Omen IV: The Awakening’ (1991). (Wikipedia / IMDB) 🖤
neutral · AI labelView post →Accidentally spoiled myself by looking up Higurashi stuff and got inspired to draw some fanart of Satoko Houjou. Loosely inspired by the poster for "The Final Conflict: Omen III"'s movie poster because the late great Sam Neill is on my mind.
neutral · AI labelView post →It should be The Piano or maybe My Brilliant Career. Hell, I have a soft spot for Until the End of the World. But who am I kidding? My favorite Sam Neill film is Omen III: The Final Conflict. And it’s not even close.
positive · AI labelView post →The third Omen film runs into a problem: is Damien, the literal Antichrist, supposed to be the protagonist? Are we supposed to empathize with him? Not even a young Sam Neill can quite pull that off. Join Don Kaye for a look back at Omen III: The Final Conflict! reactormag.com/omen-iii-the...
neutral · AI labelView post →It's not a great film but the late Sam Neill always brought his best and this is a prime example; the score by Jerry Goldsmith is great too. OMEN III THE FINAL CONFLICT tomorrow from 8pm with #thefilmcrowd. Link in the below post 👇
neutral · AI labelView post →R.I.P., Sam Neill! 😭 You'll be remembered for each and every one of your roles; and I will remember you most for one of your earliest films, Omen III: The Final Conflict (1981). You were the absolute BEST Antichrist ever put on film, good sir. #SamNeill #Omen #FinalConflict
neutral · AI labelView post →For @reactorsff.bsky.social, I wrote about THE FINAL CONFLICT, the disappointing third chapter in the OMEN trilogy that traded Armageddon for a dust-up in a churchyard: reactormag.com/omen-iii-the...
neutral · AI labelView post →Watching Omen movies as I edit and just realised that heavy metal band Iced Earth misquoted the movie when they did a version of Damien's monologue in The Final Conflict in their song Damien. Im easily amused.
neutral · AI labelView post →Name a movie that fell apart in the final ten minutes: The Final Conflict. Honestly, the series had been on rickety ground since the closing credits of The Omen, but in this flick the battle between good and evil comes down to sneaking up behind Damien in the dark and giving him a quick stab.
negative · AI labelView post →You can guess who brought their A-game to The Omen III: The Final Conflict, a movie I harbour some affection for in spite of its shortcomings and missed potential.
neutral · AI labelView post →October's horror movie theme this year is a 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon (well 31 degrees) thing. Each film must be connected to the one before. So both films list Robert Paynter as director of cinematography Tonight's film is .... The Final Conflict: Omen 3.
neutral · AI labelView post →Watched The Omen III/The Final Conflict. I love how openly evil Damien is around his Assistant/lackey. Nice to spot 'Bob Cryer', and Louis Mahoney in the film!
neutral · AI labelView post →I saw him in "Reilly, Ace Of Spies" in '83, one of his first - an ITV period weekly proto-Bond action romp. But before that - "The Final Conflict". The third "Omen" movie, which people give a bad rap, but is an awful lot of campy fun with one of Jerry Goldsmith's finest blow-the-roof-off scores.
neutral · AI labelView post →"Neill does get to say 'Nazarene' a lot while having one-sided arguments with Christ in long ranting monologs, so you can make a drinking game out of the word to make The Final Conflict more entertaining. Because it sure needs something." boxd.it/fdPIvr #FilmSky #horrorsky #SamNeillRIP

negative · AI labelView post →I'm also influenced by many orchestral composers. Jerry Goldsmith's score for "The Final Conflict" (1981, re-antichristened "Omen III" for VHS) is another of my Top 15's. Movie features THE greatest portrayal of the Antichrist—by Sam Neill! Makes for great Xmas music too. 🤘 youtu.be/1T8mu6Rsk6I?...

unlabelledView post →Nooo RIP Sam Neill. 🥀I was a weird kid into antichrist lore so the first time I liked watching him was in "The Omen III: The Final Conflict" LOL. Pretty much every other movie he's been in was better tho. 😅 Just giving a niche recommendation.
unlabelledView post →Well, damn. I was introduced to Sam Neill through The Final Conflict. I thought he was great in every movie he was in. RIP sir, you will be missed. #SamNeill #IwouldlikedtohaveseenMontana
unlabelledView post →This is a huge loss. He was such a great person too, which really makes it sting. Loved him in The Final Conflict, he played it perfectly, even if it wasn't a great movie, he was great in it.
unlabelledView post →Sam Neil gives a good performance in THE FINAL CONFLICT: OMEN III, and that movie is otherwise pretty trashy. Just shows how much he could bring to elevate any project.
unlabelledView post →And Gordon McGill's novelisation of the third OMEN flick THE FINAL CONFLICT was so successful that he wrote two sequels: OMEN IV: ARMAGEDDON 2000 and THE ABOMINATION: OMEN V. OMEN IV is wholly unrelated to the later OMEN IV: THE AWAKENING made-for-telly movie.
unlabelledView post →I must have have a thing for 1991. But, as a person who finds religion in film oft threaten to hit the wrong nerve, I want to again say Omen IV: The Awakening is the only Omen film I've so-far enjoyed. So refreshingly free of everything I intensely hated about Damien (1978) and The Final Conflict.

unlabelledView post →Sam Neill is the bomb in OMEN III : THE FINAL CONFLICT. Definitely my favourite Omen movie.
unlabelledView post →Wonderful actor. My earliest recollection of him in a movie was "Omen III: The Final Conflict". He played the adult antichrist, Damien Thorn. His portrayal was chillingly brilliant.
unlabelledView post →Actor Sam Neill has died at 78. Made a big splash with the 1993 mega-hit, 'Jurassic Park'. Also starred in 'Dead Calm', 'A Cry in the Dark' and 'Omen III: The Final Conflict'. variety.com/2026/film/ob...
unlabelledView post →The Omen Part III: The Final Conflict. A much maligned film but, for me, does a good job of closing out the trilogy.
unlabelledView post →I just added the following movies to my #31NightsOfHalloween movie marathon list: 1. Possession 2. In the Mouth of Madness 3. Event Horizon 4. The Omen II: The Final Conflict 5. Daybreakers 6. Backtrack Sam Neill was a horror genre god.
unlabelledView post →Oh no! Really? That is sad. He developed into a great actor. The first time I saw him in "The Final Conflict," I have to say, he was quite bad. But, it was a really terrible film, save for Jerry Goldsmith's incredible film score. By time Neill got to "Event Horizon," he was great. #TCMParty

The Omen IV - A Made for TV film that is mostly forgotten. And then the 2006 remake, which I actually enjoyed, released on June 6th, 2006. Haven't seen "The First Omen" yet.
