The Delta Force
A 707 aircraft jetliner, en route from Athens to Rome and then to New York City, is hijacked by Lebanese terrorists, who demand that the pilot take them to Beirut. What the terrorists don't realize is that an elite team of commandos have been called in to eliminate all terrorists on the jetliner. From TMDB

Every cop, 25 years later: Being a member of the Peoria Police Dept. makes me like the Delta Force guy from that movie "Being In Delta Force Is A Bad Time"

unlabelledView post →George Kennedy published two murder mystery novels in the 1980s in which *he* was the hero who solved the crimes. Cannon grabbed the film rights for both (and a third, unpublished novel) with the promise to turn them into a film series - as part of a deal that landed him in Bolero & The Delta Force.
unlabelledView post →Our @cultmovie.cards celebration of helicopter explosions in films continues with THE DELTA FORCE (1986). This film features the fastest exploding helicopter in film history. It takes place within 6 seconds of the film beginning. Give film fans what they want and give it to them quickly! 🚁💥📽️
unlabelledView post →Hanna Schygulla in the Menahem Golan-directed jingoistic trash classic THE DELTA FORCE (1986), one of her odder film appearances. Schygulla was BOTD in 1943. I'd love to see a double feature of DELTA FORCE and Fassbinder's THE THIRD GENERATION.
unlabelledView post →I just realized that 1982's MegaForce and 1986's the Delta Force are the same exact movie. Even has the ending where the blonde haired bearded protagonist escapes to the fleeing jet on a motorcycle. Both are stupid. But one knows it is and the other does not and is pretty dang racist for it.

unlabelledView post →FWIW in the book the movie is based on there is a lot of copy devoted to how the Delta Force guys all walked around with long hair and Oakley's, and hated having to get buzz cuts for yearly photos. Their style clashing with the regulars was a source of friction IRL well before the movie came out.
unlabelledView post →We teamed up with @cultmovie.cards to celebrate 12 exploding helicopters. Here's entry #10 THE DELTA FORCE (1986). The chopper fireball occurs just 6 seconds into the film, making it the fastest onscreen exploding helicopter.
unlabelledView post →R.I.P. Chuck Norris. I have seen THE DELTA FORCE way too many times and love it more than I can reasonably defend. It’s like an R-rated G.I.Joe movie.
unlabelledView post →From director Menahem Golan comes an action movie that dares to ask: what if The Delta Force had no thrills but did have lame toy guns, Michael Pare pretending to be Cuban and Billy Drago skeeving on Pare’s wife? This does NOT get a Rock-o-mmendation. #filmsky
unlabelledView post →The Delta Force is tonight's movie for more than one obvious reasons
unlabelledView post →It's Steve James! Also no longer with us. He was a staple of Cannon action movies, like the Chuck Norris masterpiece The Delta Force (awful movie, but amazing score). #hatm
unlabelledView post →I'm in the mood for reactionary trash. I'm eyeing The Delta Force but it's kinda hard to overlook the revenge fantasy concocted by zionist film producers considering, y'know, what's happening lately. Helps that it's an ensemble joint but I'm seeing that the sequel is on Tubi and I never seen it so

unlabelledView post →#thedeltaforce Apparently the world premiere party for this movie was at Cannon’s modified parking garage!

unlabelledView post →[February 14th, 1986] The action film "The Delta Force", starring Chuck Norris and Lee Marvin (in his final film appearance) as leaders of an elite group of Special Operations Forces personnel based on the real life U.S. Army Delta Force unit, is released in theaters.

unlabelledView post →I like The Delta Force, Code of Silence and Lone Wolf McQuade, but those are mostly cases of making a good movie around him, rather than good showcases for him.
unlabelledView post →Best line in the movie is coming up here at the end, when you can hear one of the hostages yell, "Beer! America!" #TheDeltaForce
unlabelledView post →The second half of this movie moves pretty quickly but I respect the film for taking its time during the first half. #TheDeltaForce

unlabelledView post →@MatthewTitus88 The first half is very much a disaster movie. The second half is more of a traditional Norris film. #TheDeltaForce
unlabelledView post →Okay, this is where the film goes from being 80s action to heartbreaking. #TheDeltaForce
unlabelledView post →Robert Forster worked very hard to perfect his accent for this role and he really does give an excellent performance. #TheDeltaForce
unlabelledView post →He's got the concentration camp tatoo. You wouldn't expect to see that in a film like this. Ballsy. #thedeltaforce
unlabelledView post →The great Martin Balsam, one of my favorite character actors. #TheDeltaForce
unlabelledView post →I showed my friends several of Chuck's films and some are really fun (Silent Rage, Invasion U.S.A. and Sidekicks), some are utter crap (The Delta Force comes to mind) & a few need more bad movie status (mainly The Hitman). Horrible human being but his cinematic back catalog is amusing enough.
unlabelledView post →I will never not love the movie The Delta Force, and honestly it has nothing to do with #ChuckNorris. George Kennedy, Lee Marvin, and Robert Forster give performances that punch way above the rest of the movie's cheesiness.
unlabelledView post →I was hoping that The Daily Wire did not have enough money for stuff like this. Their next movie will star Majors as the Delta Force Vet teaming up with Armie Hammer's Citizen Vigilante.

unlabelledView post →Still thinking about Zero Dark Thirty and realised that its finale is basically that of The Delta Force only more boring because at least the Cannon movie had fun things like Chuck Norris woodenly kicking the bad brown people and motorcycles armed with rocket launchers
unlabelledView post →It's so sleazy! Have you ever seen the movie Terror Squad? Same director. Absolutely bananas collision of The Delta Force and, I shit you not, The Breakfast Club. The literal first half of the movie is a care chase.
unlabelledView post →The Delta Force. My personal favorite Chuck Norris. Terrible film. Great score. #hatm
unlabelledView post →It turns out that piece of music was actually recycled from an 80s action movie, THE DELTA FORCE starring Chuck Norris. The composer had only recently broken into film, having just done ROMANCING THE STONE a few years prior. He would go on to collab with director Robert Zemeckis several more times.

unlabelledView post →On wikipedia, I noticed that one of the categories of "Invasion U.S.A." (1985) is an "American Anti-communist propaganda film". "The Delta Force" (1986) is not listed as propaganda as a category, even though it just has Chuck Norris blasting Arabs like they're roaches. Funny how that works.
