There were also a wide range of emotions on display throughout the movie, which tied really well into the central theme! This was a really fun movie to watch!
positive · AI labelView post →Despite that i'm indifferent to the movie "The Boy and The Beast", i Like Kumatetsu for good reasons. #kumatetsu #furrybara #furryartist #furryarts
neutral · AI labelView post →Rewatched The Boy and the Beast tonight, and I feel like it's a really stellar half a movie, followed by some obligatory human stuff happening and an ending that ruins my interest in the movie almost to the same level as Beauty and the Beast did. And that's only *kinda* just the furry in me talking.

neutral · AI labelView post →4. The Boy and the Beast: Gets really good in the second half. 3. Mirai: Holds up on every rewatch. 2. Belle: The best version of Beauty & The Beast ever made. 1. The Wolf Children: Never seen a movie that captures how children blossom from blobs of id to actual people. Also, werewolves.
neutral · AI labelView post →I still haven't seen "The Boy and the Beast," "Mirai," or his recent film (neither are currently on HBO Max) but it's my second favorite Hosoda now. (#2 is as high as it's going because it would be really hard for them to beat Wolf Children)
neutral · AI labelView post →What I love most about this is that it isn't even an artist sexying him up, this really is just what he looks like and wears in the movie. The Boy and the Beast is such a gift.
positive · AI labelView post →me watching the anime movie Wolf Children (2012): i can't believe this lady FUCKS a WEREWOLF and has his werewolf CHILDREN, but OKAY I GUESS me watching the anime movie The Boy and the Beast (2015): i want to suck this hairy Bear-Man samurai's dick

(my rec: dubbed) Similarly, you'd probably dig both __Samurai Champloo__ and __Space Dandy__. Both are made by the same guy behind Cowboy Bebop and can kind of be seen as a thematic trilogy of sorts. Do be warned that Space Dandy is a little bit heavier on both the fanservice and…

There is a scene where a master fisherman seal teases Tatara the monkey man by almost nomming him. I drew the nomming. positive · AI labelView post →167. The Boy and the Beast - Cute! Probably my least favorite of the Hosoda stuff I've seen so far but still a neat time. Gorgeous movie all around. Can't say I expected the Moby Dick metaphor but hey it worked.
neutral · AI labelView post →333. The Boy and the Beast. Mamoru Hosoda knocked out of the park again. I loved this movie. I think it might be my top 3 of his films. I loved the relationship between Kyuta and Kumatetsu.
positive · AI labelView post →Today's Wolfy enrichment: The Girl Who Leapt Through Time! The 3rd film directed by Mamoru Hosoda that I'm about to watch. His other films had animal people. Summer Wars had King Kazma and The Boy and The Beast had Kumatetsu. Somehow I doubt this movie will have any (but I'm sure it'll be great)
neutral · AI labelView post →I quite liked this movie, thought like THE BOY AND THE BEAST, it's suddenly becomes another film as it nears the 3rd act that has almost nothing to do with the film it has been for the first two acts, which is an odd choice he seems to keep making.

Every subsequent films after Summer Wars and Wolf Children are slightly more disappointing than the last. Yup. "Disappointment" would best describe my thought. I remember getting excited for The Boy and the Beast, watched it, get disappointed. Then comes Mirai, another disappointment, worse than the last. Learned not to expect too much before watching Belle. Went on wiki to look something up... | Title…

If you haven’t seen the following, I highly recommend them: Wolf Children Summer Wars The Boy and the Beast The Girl Who Leapt Through Time Belle He also co-directed the original Digimon movie.🤣

I thought the movie was really good. The animation was well done, as I expected from Studio Chizu, and I thought the plot was well done also.

unlabelledView post →Pizza Movie was a fun enough surreal stoner comedy. The opening was weak but I had a lot of laughs once they took the pills. The Boy and the Beast was very charming and probably my favorite of the batch. The Return of Godzilla was an early serious legacy sequel. 52 Pick-Up was sleazy fun w/ some ick
