60 of 185 · most liked firstTesla vs Lovecraft is a fast paced top down arena shooter where Tesla fights Eldritch horrors. The highlight of the game is shooting down hordes of monsters that feels satisfying. The main focus is on kiting the enemies with the teleport skill. Power ups drop around the map as well as weapons that drop with better quality when you are a higher level. On top of that there are 6 mech parts to repeatedly collect that give access to a time limited invulnerable mech to bring down more destruction.…

Remember when I said that (WE) Lovecraft fans will eat up anything with Lovecraft name on it? here we are...! To sum up : Game is a mix of Survivos with Twin stick shooters + Lovecraft stuff + LOCAL COOP! Game has 4 player Local Coop Steam Deck veridied Local Coop or Remote play together (4 players) It takes around 9 hours for all achievements (very easy to do!) Game looks simple but it gets you hooked on the gameplay loop Each…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tbf the reality for like 90% of people gaming on Linux the path is something like > \~/home/.steam/steamapps/compatdata/{game_id}/c/users/steam user/appdata etc... as most will be leveraging proton via steam. And I reckon the other 10% are making use of proton via lutris or heroic... Or if they're feeling particularly oldschool, just a wine installation. IMO it doesn't make sense for Devs to build games directly for Linux, as the long term compatibility is better via proton than it seems to…

I've alrealy played all versions of Space Marshals, Tesla vs Lovecraft, Tesla Force, Jydge, Crimsonland, Grind Infinity, Solomon Keep, PewPew, and Vampire Survivors (although it's not twin stick but close enough). Are there any new twin stick shooters, preferrably something I can pay for once and without IAP going up to $100?
unlabelledView post →As someone who loves bullet hell games, this one hit me right in the dopamine receptors. It’s pure chaotic joy: screen-filling madness, tight controls, and that delicious “just one more run” energy. There are tons of varied weapons and perks that keep things fresh and wonderfully overpowered. One minute you’re politely zapping cultists, the next you’re a walking apocalypse with legs. Beautiful. The short, punchy levels are perfect for quick sessions, but don’t get too comfy — they ramp up…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool shoot-em-up. Very hard without the DLC. At least towards the ending. But it's worth the play. I finished the game 100% Simple and fun.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Solid and overlooked arena twin-stick shooter. What you see is what you get. Tesla vs Lovecraft delivers no more or less than you might suspect after a brief look at any gameplay snippet or screenshot and does that gracefully, without overstaying its welcome or slowing down at any point. Certainly of the best games in the 10tons' catalogue, along with its sequel 'Tesla Force', both deserve more spotlight and recognition outside of die-hard genre fans. Very compact and polished,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not a review, just a recommendation.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, on Steam it asks "Do you recommend this game?" and in 2025 for that my answer is no. Because these days the formula has been done waaaaay better by other games. Looks like their own Tesla Force is a way better choice for something like this. I have finished the "main campaign" which is just a series of levels without much variety. Bosses are basically same as enemies just a little stronger. You can buy overall upgrades, but in general it is more a game of luck than skill - if a decent…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Heya folks, here's a short featuring Tesla vs. Lovecraft by 10tons Ltd. This is from the final mission in the game. I beat it many years ago now, and I still have all the levels unlocked. #teslavslovecraft #videogames #indiegames #actiongames #shorts
unlabelledView post →I love Crimsonland, I love Neon Chrome, and I love the concept here, but Tesla vs Lovecraft just isn't on the level of 10tons' best games, mostly because success is way too dependent on RNG favoring you with viable weapons and passives. Disappointing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Good Tesla vs Lovecraft feels like a game straight from the XBLA golden age. It's a no frills twin-stick shooter, where you enter a level, shoot all the enemies, and leave. There are different guns, power-ups, and upgrades that all pretty much amount to "shoot things, but harder". But the shooting feels good, and sometimes that's all you need. The game also keeps you moving which is nice. You won't just be standing in one place but maneuvering to charge your big special, dodge enemies,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got lured in by the names of two of my favorite historic figures. I understand that it's supposed to be a musing, but I didn't find the portrayal of theirs entertaining all the same. Heck, I din't find this game entertaining altogether, since this seems to be a severly dumbed-down version of Crimsonland / Evil Magic. In all honesty, it might be good for a little while, if you got some time to kill, and you don't mind having no experience / perks transfering from one map to another (you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun straight forward top down shooter with rogue lite elements. Interesting perks and abilities. Not overly difficult.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun twin stick shooter. At higher difficulties there's a ton of RNG - get a decent weapon drop early or die. You can find currency in the levels to buy permanent unlocks, so you feel like still you're achieving something even while dying on the same level over and over.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it plays like a bullethell shooter.. Only you do most of the giving of this bullet hell. enemy's swarm the screen and you have to kill them all. sounds simple? it is not. I like this shooter. recommended
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Get this game if you want to shoot spiders for 2 hours. Tesla vs Lovecraft has none of the meaningful challenges of Neon Chrome or Jydge. Weapons will spawn on top of you, downgrading and replacing your current weapon. One of the minibosses can spawn on top of you and instantly kill you. The other minibosses aren't even a fight. There is no boss at the end. You don't get to fight Lovecraft.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent, fun, highly polished, stylish twin-stick shooter from the developers of Crimsonland. Every level you start by dropping in a nearly-invulnerable mech that lasts for a limited period of time, then you get out and start dishing out the punishment by yourself. You get a new perk super often, about every dozen seconds or so, while shooting the ever-increasing monster counts non-stop. This game is as action-packed as it could be, yet it's balanced and just well-crafted all around.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a BAD game. The difficulty spike is completely ridiculous. Half about the game, you will encounter the mission CIty of Deep Ones, and it is laughably unbalanced. I've tried it 20, maybe 30 times today, while each earlier ones I needed to repeat once or twice. I don't know if they expect me to grind daily for days for upgrades, or something... or have an incredibly lucky chain of random drops. It is a top-down shooter with enemy spawners and random drops. Drops range from completely…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun twin-stick shooter with great progression system and a good couch coop implementation. It could maybe use a bit more variety in the long run, but I can definitely recommend this for twin stick shooter aficionados. I like that it has meta progression as well as powerups you collect for each level.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty awesome after enjoying crimsonland.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Any game that came out after 2010 that claims to be coop and doesn't have online coop deserves a negative review. Apart from that, the first thing you see in the main menu is a button begging you to buy the DLC. In short, shameless devs who won't even bother adding the most basic features for their players in the base game, beg for even more of your money on its title screen.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the best game my mortal eyes have ever seen
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple twin stick (or kb+mouse) fast paced top-down shooter. It's quite easy to pick up and fun to play. Progress your way through a fixed path on a map with 31 locations to visit. Each fight usually lasts only a few minutes. On each location, you can collect crystals which allow you to permanently upgrade some of your stats. When things get too tough, you can revisit every other place you've already defeated trying to collect more of these crystals. When you've finished the entire map and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun and colorful top down shooter where you play as Nikola Tesla VS H.P. Lovecraft and all the Eldritch monsters you can blast. base game on its own is fun and the DLC adds some new enemy and some new options for killing including some guns but it also adds some crazy powerups that absolutely break the game and give the enemy no chance to actually beat you. Needless to say the gameplay loop is fun and hunting it wasn't bad either. Not a whole lot of variance in it but it was certainly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing game, fun, engaging and cheap.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I didnt love or hate it. It is pretty mid. The weapons certainly lack a 'punch' to them, as it feels your lasers just pierce through anything.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Closest thing to Crimsonland 2. Premise is the same: you need to do all missions to unlock all perks and weapons for survival. But in "Tesla vs Lovecraft" you need to do same set of levels 3 times (4 and endless with DLC) which is kind of annoying. I'm 8 hours in and did 2.5 "times". Survival mode is the best thing in the game and to get all weapons for it you need to grind through "campaign". Survival is sort of casino where your success is defined by the luck in early game - no matter of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really enjoyable twin sticker shooter with great weapons and perks. However, I do wish it didn't have me play the whole game two more times to get to the end.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A relatively simple but very fun twin-stick shooter Recommended, especially to anyone who is looking to get into the twin-stick shooter genre
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tesla vs. Lovecraft was a blast to play before Halloween. The monsters and gadgets are great. I had a lot of fun pushing my skills and adaptability in later missions. I would've liked more story beats in between chapters.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun twinstick shooter with a good variety of levels, enemies, weapons, and perks. The levels have more architecture to them than these sort of games typically do. They aren't just empty rooms. There are walls, alleys, and pits that you need to use to your advantage. Some of the weapons and perks are better than others, and since their appearance is random, it's possible to fail a level because you randomly get denied anything useful. Although this game does have an endless mode, the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looks like you get to pilot a mech to fight Lovecraftian horrors. Actually, you start each map as a level 1 pleb with a pistol and a teleporter. Getting better weapons depends on RNG popping them up on the ground. Getting a special ability, which has limited charges, is the same. The mech is on a timer when it's active and requires gathering 6 parts from around the map. At the end of a map, if you have all 6 parts but don't activate the mech, you automatically have the mech active at the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game feels like cheap, old, mobile game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cheapest rogue-like i've ever played.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing twin stick bullet hell that keeps you engaged
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a big fan of twinsticks, this game is meh. Levels too short, mechanically fine but doesn't stand out and sometimes clunky, and why is there a plot? I even bought the dlc thinking it was some sort of traditional endless mode. It's not, just more things in the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is what it is. In short - a crappy Crimsonland 2. I'd say it's about 35/65 good to negative ratio. We could give it a pass, if it was any other developer, but since 10tons released the masterpiece that is CRIMSONLAND, well it ain't gonna fly. I'm getting the identical same vibes as with CaveStory and KeroBlaster to be honest. Well, you've raised the bar yourselves. You have shown us the greatness. You have showed us the potential you possess. Now you'll be judged accordingly. The game…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a pretty solid twin stick shoothulhu r'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun but horrendously balanced game. Word of advice: GET THE REVOVLER. The revolver is the best weapon in pretty much any situation, hands down. There is no reason to use any other weapon because the revolver pierces and you are always fighting massive swarms of enemies. And since weapon drops are random, you might get stuck with a crappy shotgun, or you might get the revolver and then accidentally walk into another weapon and lose it. Woulda been nice if they had actually tried to balance the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's pretty silly, the story is nonsensical, and the voice acting is hilariously bad. But it's a surprisingly fun, simple, fast paced shooter with some interesting mechanics and satisfying RNG.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Vampire Survivors meets Lovecraft + it involves a mech and steampunk tech It's like if meth and crack had a baby. Amazing
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am surprised. The "HD textures" and DX11 really help bring this in to 2023. Its better than one would expect, and fun with having 8, 20% fire rate increases is a plus. This game is genuinely good, get to around level 11 before you give up. It gets GOIN. Worth full price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really great game! don't start it unless you're ready to finish it though. Once you start playing, it's highly addictive and it's really hard to put down.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →so goooooooooooooooooooood
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When other reviewers say the game is more luck-dependent than skill they mean it is solely luck dependent. Enemies are the same speed as you, take a number of hits to kill, and spawn in such number that you are likely to lose a run within 45 seconds if you do not get a lucky weapon spawn. Please, 10tons, this is ridiculous. The endless mode is nearly unplayable and even on second of the three difficulties you need lucky weapon and perk spawns to not lose in under a minute on the missions.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you don't have 50 power-ups by the end of each level you're playing it wrong
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like the style top shooting/mayhem/perks with dashes then this is the game. I really like the story, how it looks and how it responds.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun twin-stick shooter. Much better than many of the more expensive and well known titles. Great difficulty curve, fun weapons, regular power-ups so there's never frustration, and a fantastic special power. Lovecraft and Tesla give it bonus points.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TESLA VS LOVECRAFT 10ton crushing out another great title, this one is pretty fun honestly. T VS L is a top down arcade swarm twin-stick shooter with a pretty addicting game play loop, tons of fun abilities and level upgrades.. I just wish they were more permanent instead of level to level. Collect 6 pieces of tech to power your mech suit ability to mow huge swarms of demons, the boss fights are serviceable. Pick this up on sale as I already am 25% though the game in 30 mins of playing,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I do like 10tons games. This one is like a revision of Crimsonland to me, but a good, well-crafted revision. Unlike Crimsonland there are various locations in a grim gothic style. I would like some more levels and playing modes, though. Thank you, developers, for it is truly a decent game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've finished Dysmantle some time ago and it really got me hooked on 10tons' game style so I went and got me Tesla vs Lovecraft. It is a simple, enjoyable twin stick shooter. Just the right kind of game for you to sit down, pick up your controller and blast through hordes of Lovecraftian horrors. In around 10h in I got 100% of the achievements but that doesn't end the game as you can keep rolling either playing the endless mode or, if you have the DLC, carrying on with the NG+ mode. I recommend…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a long time twin stick shooter fan, this is the most fun I've ever had with one. The pacing and action are intense in a way that makes massive amounts of time just melt away. The base game is a bit dependent on RNG (a random power up system) but the exhilaration from finally melting threw that level that has stopped your progression in it's tracks, is like nothing else. This is the best and worst thing about the base game. It's random, but the high from getting that perfect set of power…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun shooter! Classic 10tons style... Love it or hate it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Easily the best twin-stick shooter I've ever played. The rounds are quick, high intensity and super fun. With the Dreamlands expansion, you get a ton more hours of entertainment and challenge. The challenge is just right throughout, never feeling too easy, but also never feeling too hard or impossible.
