Watched the film on its November 1997 Channel 4 premiere, and again in January 2017 before going to see "T2 Trainspotting", but had never read the novel. Suspects the non-standard spellings/Scottish dialect on the first page had always put me off. 1/4

unlabelledView post →T2 Trainspotting was a very good film, actually. And Danny Boyle is the greatest living director. Every film he makes is filled with so many incredible directorial choices. He has no fixed style or genre. Even his worst film (The Beach) has a bunch of cool stuff.

unlabelledView post →T2 Trainspotting (2017) Danny Boyle Biggest expectations i ever had for a movie. And it was worth it. I would like to, no, I need to, I yearn to see a movie adaption on The Decent Ride, the Juice-Terry book. Who wouldn't love to see Juice-Terry yapping about while doing outrageous things?

It was a risky endeavour to make a sequel to such a culturally significant movie. But with Danny Boyle and (1/11)

So many great movies to look back on over the years, but as I grow older, and somehow less wiser, T2 Trainspotting is one that keeps coming to mind. And as we’re all about nostalgia right now, it’s the most fitting. loose-lips.com/index.php/20...

unlabelledView post →There should be a rule that no sequel can be longer than the original movie. For example, T2-Trainspotting is 20 minutes longer than the first film and only (maybe) a quarter as good. #movies #film
unlabelledView post →T2: Trainspotting, by Danny Boyle. I wasn't as enamored by the first Trainspotting as others, so imagine my shock when its sequel blew me away. This is such a poignant, witty, and devastating look at growing up and old, and realizing you've left behind a promising future. Brilliant, brilliant film.
unlabelledView post →A rather good sequel! 'T2 Trainspotting' is exactly what I expected it to be. Turns out, it was also exactly what I wanted it to be. I thought it was great! I mentioned in my review of the original that I didn't like the characters, at all. Whilst that is indeed the case for that film, in this follow-up it does a grand job at making you care for the main bunch more; well, aside from Franco but we don't talk about Franco. It probably is missing out on as much substance (pardon the pun), if only…
positive · AI labelView post →OK...it may be bias, Trainspotting was one of my favorite movies, and one of the better, if frustrating, books I experienced in High School. And, I really want to avoid any hints towards the plot as....it might kill a lot of the humor for those that haven't seen it. So excuse the vagueness, but after watching it, you might see where its necessary from an entertainment not a twist standpoint. So...the bad: It is NOT "Porno" which breaks the heart because, well, "Porno" was absolutely hysterical,…
positive · AI labelView post →To face a revenge threat! Okay the first film was good one. Then I thought it was unnecessary to make a sequel for it. But someone clarified that it was not made outside the novel to make money. It's indeed adapted from the sequel book of the original film's source. Though coming out 20 years later was the disadvantage. Except some praises it had received, particularly by its hardcore fans, it was average at the box office and I thought same as well. I did not like the story. It was just a…
