Released shortly after theaters opened back up in 2020, it is a clear casualty of pandemic era film distribution woes but would have been a likely modest hit any other time, and especially so in the 90s. Costner is always on.

Let Him Go by Michael Giacchino - I will never see the film as the synopsis looks horrific, but the music is spectacular. Most things by Giacchino actually although I would like to kick him in the shins for the opening to Up.

unlabelledView post →This is a movie that may have been better told as a mini-series. There is a lot of story available to mine for the entire cast of characters. The movie does a good job of bringing those characters to life, but it still feels like it's only scratching the surface; only giving you a glimpse of what it's like for those characters. The movie is based on a novel, and I'm now more likely to go read the novel to see if more is revealed.
