unlabelledView post →Sunless Skies is a better game in terms of gameplay than Sunless Sea, but it lacks the sheer amount of cannibalism in Sunless Sea. These games are basically the opposite of Symphony of War - the moment to moment gameplay is lacking but the writing is amongst the very best in all of gaming.

With influences from Fire Emblem and the Ogre Battle series, this game adds its unique twist to a familiar combat system and tells a familiar story in a new way. Review: www.rpgfan.com/revie...
unlabelledView post →Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga is the first game I started playing in 2025. So far I like the story and the gameplay, but I feel a bit restricted in organizing my squads due to size limitations. Still, I'm making progress😅

unlabelledView post →I found Unicorn Overlord fun to play but weak on story going to strongly second Symphony of War. That game is really operating above it's class. A friend got it for me as a gift and I wound up doing multiple playthroughs for no reason at all just having fun
unlabelledView post →Alright Folks, I can't decide which game to do next. So y'all will decide between: 1. Symphony of War(Fire Emblem like with giantess) 2. Deadpool 3. Dead Space 4. New Vegas Vote with the link Below! youtube.com/post/UgkxssO... #Vtuber #Lewdtuber #Voretuber #ENvtuber
unlabelledView post →Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga - 6.8/10 this game was like fine. the characters are not interesting and the game looks like it MIGHT be going somewhere right at the end only to basically get bored of itself. gameplay is goodish but i feel like squad design gets really flat by the end
unlabelledView post →Day 2: If you have not played Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga, what are you doing? Not only is it a fantastic game with great gameplay, a great story, and great characters, it has Diana. A BIG STRONG lady who canonically grows bigger and stronger. Plus her character is awesome. #SizeSky #Giantess
unlabelledView post →Symphony of War is $10 right now. Great game. Everything great about Fire Emblem and Ogre Battle rolled into one title. store.steampowered.com/app/1488200/...

unlabelledView post →Playing through Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga again and honestly I forgot how much I liked this game. I’ll admit I was originally drawn in cause of the giant woman but the game just is actually a really fun rpg tactics game.

unlabelledView post →22. Symphony of War ($7.00) You know what game was great? Ogre Battle? Know what game barely has anything like it? Ogre Battle. But while this doesn't have Vanillaware money, it's the got that same unique unit comp gameplay. Come, and sing a-
unlabelledView post →Recently I've been enjoying Symphony of War from Dancing Dragon Games and @join-indie-io.bsky.social, which rewards players for taking prisoners rather than killing your enemies via a surrender system. Rewarding players for not killing enemies in a strategy game ? Why isn't this more widespread ?
unlabelledView post →---games I didn't, and I've probably played at least twenty runs of that game by now! Symphony of War just looked disappointing from the Steam art, but it plays like a really enjoyable Fire Emblem game! You Will Die Here Tonight has the weirdest startup and gameplay ideas, but probably does---
unlabelledView post →Agreed. Only ones we really have are Soul Nomad and Symphony of War. The Last Remnant is borderline in its squad building, but it's still a SaGa game at heart. The squad mechanics are one of the many amazing factors of the game though.
unlabelledView post →Songs of conquest is a Heros of might and magic type game so not fire emblem-like Dark diety is very similar. Redemption reapers is the Path of Radiance director. Symphony of War is absolutely amazing but you control armies instead of units. Banner of the maid if fire emblem-ish and really good!
unlabelledView post →Not ffxiv related BUT A friend gifted me two games on steam since I got a pc! 🥹 since he knows I'm a big fan of fire emblem... this game has been super fun and challenging. Symphony of War: the Nephilim Saga
unlabelledView post →Symphony of War too. Everything great about Fire Emblem and Ogre Battle in one game.
unlabelledView post →I actually played this strategy game called Symphony of War that's fairly standard fantasy but one thing I loved about it was it strongly encourages the player not to kill the soldiers you face in the levels because the whole civil war thing isn't their fault
unlabelledView post →probably any fire emblem game released before 2017 would fit. Like Pokemon, there’s romhacks, both for changing the original games and completely original works. there’s also indies out there. The only one that comes to mind is Dark Deity and Symphony of War but I’m sure there’s more.

unlabelledView post →I've been playing a lot of Indy retro games and twin games recently. Finished Symphony of War: The Nepholim Saga. Last Triple A game I played was Ghost of Yothei accompanied by Clair Obscure and Dispatch. Dispatch having the most effect on me informed where I'd be happiest spending my time.
unlabelledView post →I'd really like that... Fire emblem & Symphony of War are fun but it's not the same. I wonder if they patched the xbox version in the end, since the speed increase and the possibility to put multiple heroes instead of no-name units in our squads for the PC version made the game much more enjoyable🥲
unlabelledView post →So i have been playing Symphony of War: Nephalim Saga for the past few days. and holy fuck if this game can stick the landing it might be one of my fave games of all time
unlabelledView post →@join-indie-io.bsky.social Tonight (Nov 13) 10:30pm EST my friend will stream Airship, One Lonely Outpost, and Symphony of War on his show First Fifteen. 3 games 15 mins each, and a mini review of first reactions. He welcomes devs & fans of the game to join in chat. Live or VOD www.twitch.tv/kelph1
unlabelledView post →Symphony of War: Was a bit surpised by the game, the shit ton of mechanics i thought would eventually be a hassle but it ended up fairly manageable even if i didn't understand it, and the story has some really ambitious and interesting twists. Should tone down the fetish stuff though
unlabelledView post →Ah, I do hate when a game won't acknowledge your efforts to beat an "impossible" boss. I never actually tried with these guys. Tales of Symphonia and Symphony of War handle this brilliantly.
unlabelledView post →8. Symphony of War And indie take on Fire Emblem/war RPG style games. This game had menus on menus and I was EATING it up. I spent sooo long just tinkering with characters and battalions. The story was satisfying, but the art was really weird? It was a mixed bag but I love menus and job systems.
unlabelledView post →Resource management for some reason flicks a happy switch in my brain. As long as the resources are finite I can obsess over management and it for some reason brings me joy if the game rewards it. I have spent HOURS min/maxing my team in Symphony of War and higher difficulties it feels rewarding.
unlabelledView post →Furthering my backlog cleaning (And now adding bc steam autumn sale), I’ve finished Symphony of War. I poured 40 hours into the game. Pretty good. It’s exactly my style of game: Fire emblem-y.

unlabelledView post →True story. I had a bit of a drought of game completion. I would keep buying some new release and just not finish it and move on to something else either “comfortable” or new, again. I finally broke that drought by playing a super addictive indie game called Symphony of War. A gem of a game.
unlabelledView post →It’s grand kingdom, Symphony of War and Ogre Battle rolled into one pretty much. Still my game of the year btw. Systems, Soundtrack, presentation, characters etc..are all top notch. Average writing and story’s lackluster tho.
unlabelledView post →When you know, you know, basically. Lol. It's Symphony of War and I really like it! The rest of the game is all original art, just those cutscenes are RPG Maker clearly.
unlabelledView post →My version of this concept is Ogre Battle 64. Indie game Symphony of War is the closest anyone's ever come
unlabelledView post →Symphony of War-- indie game that's a bit of a mash up of Fire Emblem and Ogre Battle
unlabelledView post →Just finished Symphony of War. Excellent wee indie game, genuinely perfect. Also it was dedicated to the dev's late cat.
unlabelledView post →OK, strategy videogame nerds, I'm finishing revisions on my Master's thesis this week & I need to forget my woes, perhaps my family, and fall into a deep strategy game. Recommendations? Endless Space 2 EU4 with a lot of DLC XCOM: Enemy Unknown Old World Symphony of War: the Nephilim Saga TW: WIII
unlabelledView post →I'd love to play Unicorn Overlord on PC. In the meantime I just have to live with Symphony of War (and SoW2 sometime this year). At least the dev for that is pretty real, even if difficulty is iffy on that game
unlabelledView post →First up this year is a game I finished yesterday, Symphony of War. Game play is like a mix between GBA Fire Emblem and Unicorn Overlord, with little Golden Sun animations thrown in here and there for flavor. Overall a fun time, with little side objectives each chapter to keep things interesting.
unlabelledView post →Symphony of War is soo freaking fun! It's like Fire Emblem and Advance Wars had a baby with some fun game systems added on top of it.

unlabelledView post →Symphony of War is great, loved the game and even playing through it a second time already!

unlabelledView post →3. Name: Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga Time Played: 38.6 hours Achievements: 98% Rating: 9/10 Reason: I loved a lot about this game but the story, character interactions, artwork, and battle mechanics are really what won my heart. I just wanted to keep playing it and that says a lot.
