Street Kings
Tom Ludlow is a disillusioned L.A. Police Officer, rarely playing by the rules and haunted by the death of his wife. When evidence implicates him in the execution of a fellow officer, he is forced to go up against the cop culture he's been a part of his entire career, ultimately leading him to question the loyalties of everyone around him. He had to do an apology tour through Seoul to recover from that one, but it was touch-and-go for a while.

(We will talk a lot about Street Kings, a movie that has two fans, the both of us)

unlabelledView post →‘Street Kings’ (2008), PSP UMD, £1.50. A good cast in general, directed by David Ayer, a reasonable way to pass some time, definitely more of a B movie, though, as they trudge through the cliches. #physicalmedia #pspumd #sonypsp #keanureeves #jamesellroy

unlabelledView post →As is becoming a trend this year, following that high-minded and excellent piece of art with what is very likely little more than some schlock from the conveyor belt via Street Kings (if I have assumed wrongly I'll quote-tweet later to recant). letterboxd.com/film/street-...

I didn't see that coming. (Have you seen STREET KINGS? Another Ellroy adaptation, almost the same movie in fact, but with Keanu Reeves.)
unlabelledView post →Street Kings (2008) – Review When you combine the corruption-obsessed mind of James Ellroy with the bleak outlook of David Ayer, you're certain to get a fair amount of urban chaos. After all, Ellory's track record of penning brutal tomes include all-time greats like L.A. Confidential, American Tabloid and White Jazz, and Ayer was still white hot after writing Training Day. This means that both have delivered works obsessed with morally compromised anti-heroes and near apocalyptic levels of…

unlabelledView post →Street Kings is such a good movie and it kind of gives Terry Crews an outlet of the behind the scenes issues he was facing with the industry. Also how fuckin crooked cops are and how they should be shot instead of given a trial since they have so much power & money the higher the food chain it goes
