TIL Marvel's first theatrical movie, produced by George Lucas, was "Howard the Duck." The animatronic duck costume used cost $2 million in 1986 dollars. After the film cratered, Lucas, deep in debt, sold off the CGI division of Lucasfilm to Steve Jobs. Where it was given a name change.

Rewatching “Steve Jobs.” It’s strange to think that this is an underrated film in both Sorkin and Boyle’s filmographies. Boyle’s remarkable good at visualising Sorkin’s “characters having three conversations at once, across decades.”

You read that correctly, even Howard the Duck, the Marvel movie that failed so badly that George Lucas (yes, George Lucas) sold off his computer graphics division to Steve Jobs, was listed in the official Marvel Comics adaptations gallery while Fant4stic was NOT! At least we got Pixar out of it.
