I initially picked up Starlink on the Switch because I wanted the Arwing toy and I really wanted to play the Starfox missions. I instantly fell in love with the game, it feels great to play and the combat is really snappy and enjoyable. Character's have decent background stories and the voice acting is great and doesn't get annoying as you fly around saving the star system. It feels like a…

unlabelledView post →I'm having a lot of fun with this game - it's repetitive, like most Ubisoft titles, but I'm enjoying what I'm doing. The problem, however, is that it's appallingly expensive. Eighty dollars for a game from last year? A hundred dollars' worth of DLC that amounts to two fairly small weapon, pilot, and ship packs? Come on, Ubi. Wait for a sale unless you're hellbent on playing No Man's Sky crossed with Far Cry.

By weakening US surveillance, he’s handed Putin the perfect opening—while making Starlink the only game in town. Control space, control communication. Stay awake. 🚨 .

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →But! Starships really are optimized for carrying next-gen Starlink satellites. If Musk can get these Starships going, it's game over in the satellite internet sector. Musk wins. That's why some believe that Mars is a shiny object, and Starlink is the real goal. It's interesting to discover new things in the game, be it new species, exotic places or abandoned treasures. The gameplay and overall experience are good but the game might become a bit repetitive after few hours tho. Unfortunately it's all vehicles based exploration, no on foot movements... The combat system is nice, you can…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wish I enjoyed Starlink more than I did. It's genuinely cool that on Switch, you can START the game as Fox Mccloud and the Starlink crew meet you to kick off the plot. The first 15 minutes being from Fox's perspective as he enters this crossover. Wolf was cool as hell too.
unlabelledView post →Yes, I have the virtualization options already turned off on Windows, no Ubisoft, I'm not going to change a BIOS option just for ONE game because you lazy a****les can't patch a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game that you ask NINETY EUROS for the complete edition.

unlabelledView post →by the way, this is why I don't trust ANY of SpaceX's extremely sketchy financial claims about Starlink: the game Elon plays 100% incentivizes minimizing the economics of the launch business (which has a small, finite customer base) and maximize the perceived performance of Starlink (bigger TAM)

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game to bits. I have all the other versions, and all the toys. However, since they went digital only, there is no reason for the absurdly high price. Even with regional pricing, this game is way more expensive than other triple A games. I'd say the base price would have to be at least 50% of what it is now to consider it worth it. If on a good sale (at least 50%), I'd say go for it, otherwise, unfortunately, your money is better spent elsewhere.

unlabelledView post →!!WARNING!! This game DOES NOT WORK if you run modern windows with security features turned on. Especially not if you run Hyper-V. The devs DO NOT PLAN on fixing this. They will not make a bugfix, they will absolutely not remove the DRM that's causing the issue. The game is pretty much abandoned – they've made their money and won't sink any more into trying to fix this issue. "Sorry, this application cannot run under a Virtual Machine", is all I'm getting. negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overpriced yet highly underrated! This game ticks all of my boxes: ☑ Exploration ☑ 2 Player Co-Op (Split-screen) ☑ Loadouts & Ship Customization ☑ Progress System ☑ Satisfying Combat & Space Battles ☑ Engaging Story Let's hope Starlink 2 offers all content for a flat price of $60 USD and they add network play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Generally fun, easy to play game, but Ubisoft Connect breaks the DLC. I purchased in April of 2024, deluxe edition with additional dlc pack. Have been playing on and off fine. Now April 2026, the Ubisoft Connect updated itself, and now the game won't recognize any of my DLC. Uninstalled Game, Ubisoft connect, delinked account. Reinstalled everything, relinked account, still no go. Ubisoft Support didn't help. Dealing with this Publisher isn't worth any more of my money or time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game wont even start. Apparently Ubisoft wont allow games to run on a "virtual machine" whatever that means. This problem or policy for Ubisoft needs to change immediately.

unlabelledView post →I'm having a great time with Starlink. The game is just fun top play, the voice acting is great, and the graphics are solid. So far no game related issues or crashes, so that is a positive these days. The only drawback is that it is quite expensive
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Would not recommend because Ubisoft support is ♥♥♥♥. I bought the Deluxe Edition and yes I got access to more weapons, ships and pilots, but probably for only the first 5 play sessions. Afterwards I no longer had access due to a bug. Ubisoft support pretended to help out at first, but eventually just said they are no longer providing support and just closed my ticket. As a game, this is probably a 7, but I'm not recommending because Ubisoft sux.

unlabelledView post →First of all: I love the game and completed it on Switch, Xbox and PS4. But the PC Version is just junk thanks to DRM. Its unplayable, it won´t start ! On Steamdeck i have to use a workaround, but nothing helps on desktop PC and AAAA Ubisoft doesn´t care, and support throws only ChatGPT answers. Steam needs to remove this game from store !
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't bother purchasing. Ubisoft now has a track record of stealing games from their customers so it's only a matter of time before they brick this game without refunding you.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This program is very important at making sure rural areas r served with high speed internet. There r no ends of problems in my area that way. Starlink most certainly does not have it covered. I wouldn't give them 💲 if they were the only game in town I would sooner use smoke signals to communicate

unlabelledView post →DO NOT PAY FOR THIS GAME. Okay, so that is off my chest, here is the why. UBISOFT control your access to the game. Ubisoft control your saves and progress in a cloud. Ubisoft decides, remotely and without any input from the player, what access they (the player) can have to content the player has purchased. They change this at random times. Also - If you have physical craft and have paid for the full digital experience, you cannot mix and match as Ubisoft take away your access to the digital…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Highly underrated game. Has the best parts of No Mans Sky mix with the best parts of StarFox. I believe this only slipped under the radar because of the initial reliance on selling physical toys to play the game. Thankfully that is no longer an obstacle and can be played entirely digital.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game won't even start. Trying to look for help will only lead to them telling you to do the same thing over and over again. They tell you to disable certain things on your computer but that doesn't work. The lazy craps have abandoned this game and refuse to fix it. This game does not work and should not be on the store. One again Ubisoft proves that it deserves the hate it gets.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do not purchase this game it still has the same error from years ago and they show no support on fixing the issues. negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the ultimate in a space action game, a perfect mix of No Man's Sky and Starfox like I've seen it described in another review. The high frame rates are breathtaking, the graphics are amazing, the mouse control is fantastic, there's a lot of awesome speed tech, I cannot reccomend this game enough, basically a Ubisoft radio tower game across a solar system but better and a nice cool universe, you don't need the toys at all anymore either. HOWEVER... There are some problems with this game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is fun but unfortunately now when I try to launch the game a box pops up that says "sorry, this application cannot run under a Virtual Machine" Don't waste your money on this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Completely piecemeal dishonest DLC and packs and shady practice by the devs, the delux is not the full complete game regardless of being a full 20 dollars more. there is still 70 USD!!!! more of DLC for a few more ships and weapons. ♥♥♥♥ these devs i hope they never work in gaming again.
