Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams
Exploring the further adventures of Carmen and Juni Cortez, who have now joined the family spy business as Level 2 OSS agents. But it is possible to be distracted from this fact because as soon as our consciousness is bothered with it, at the same instant appears a flying pig.."

unlabelledView post →the most core memory I have about the jackass movie is the 10 minute argument outside of the theater we got into on whether we should buy tickets to xXx or Spy Kids 2 to use as a cover to sneak into jackass cause we were like 14-15 when that movie came out
unlabelledView post →Spy Kids 2! This was my first dive into designing and creating CGI monsters for film after cutting my teeth in TV and games. Even more thrilling? Robert Rodriguez wanted the movie to pay tribute to Ray Harryhausen—one of my all-time idols. 🦖✨ #CGI #VFX #SpyKids #Film
unlabelledView post →yesterday I had the line "Do you think God stays in Heaven because he too lives in fear of what he's created?" echoing around in my head (from Spy Kids 2, a film I have never watched).

Fast forward to 2026 reality: NATO is using LIVE CYBORG COCKROACHES as AI-powered spy drones, equipped with electronic backpacks with microphones, cameras, & AI hardware.

unlabelledView post →Does anyone else have a goofy movie or tv show that suddenly has a deep, hardcore line that just goes there? And nobody say Spy Kids 2, we all know about that line.
unlabelledView post →it will never not be funny and also shameful that "Do you think that god stays in heaven because he, too, lives in fear of what he created?" is from fucking Spy Kids 2 and not a movie that won 47 Oscars

unlabelledView post →Thinking about how in Aleksandr Dugin's "The Fourth Political Theory" he goes on a very long tirade about the movie Spy Kids 2, how incomprehensible it is, and how it signals the cosmopolitan decline of traditional values

unlabelledView post →Normally I love movies with baffling creative decisions like this, but so much of this is actually painfully bad. No subtlety whatsoever. No opportunities to sit with anything. Boring ass characters. “Ohh it’s a kids movie” so is Spy Kids 2 but at least it’s fun

unlabelledView post →Baby Geniuses, Spy Kids 2 & Recess: The Movie. We were allowed to bring in a film to watch during the week of our birthdays in 4th grade. We got around 30 minutes for lunch and would watch another segment of the movie each day. So it would take 3-4 days to finish a movie as a treatment.

unlabelledView post →I know Spy Kids 2 is known for having lines that go hard but it's fun to watch a lesser known film and find lines that go hard too. Like in Escape from the Planet of the Apes, when the President compares a scientist's plan to kill the apes to Herod trying to kill Jesus & this is Hasslein's response:

unlabelledView post →Decent watch at best, probably won't watch again, but can recommend for a younger audience. In traditional sequel fashion, this was worse than the original. It feels like it actually has a richer, more complex story to it with a better message of cooperation and right over wrong, but it relies too heavily on weird effects combined with a lack of technology working in the story. What really sets it apart is cross competitiveness with a secondary kid team, which was really cool to suddenly see a…
