Also, movie night will feature Time After Time and NOT Spiderhead, y'all don't know what movie you want. Spiderhead is not about a spider so DONT VOTE FOR IT CUZ IT HAS SPIDER IN THE TITLE

unlabelledView post →Oh I know this one. It's a scene from the Netflix movie Spiderhead which is based on a short story that appeared in the New Yorker of the same name. So they're trying to avoid a copyright strike.

unlabelledView post →If we don’t count video games mine was the movie Spiderhead in the background. I don’t feel comfortable with technology that can manipulate people sense of sight and sound and emotions.

unlabelledView post →Lmaooo there’s a movie about this and its so good! Yall should watch Spiderhead on netflix! I would sell either euphoria or the sense of oneness
unlabelledView post →Anyways, Hierarchy of projects so far: 1-Fenton Fly Short-Foodfight (almost Done) 2-Garry's Mod Kaiju multiplayer gamemode-(Still a work in progress) 3-Sore Toons (just general one shot cartoon shorts)-Storyboard Done on turtle and Spiderhead shorts, still need to make props and film.

unlabelledView post →Hemsworth has been making some power moves when it comes to role choices. I know that straight-to-Netflix Joseph Kosinski movie (SPIDERHEAD?) wasn’t, you know, good, but what other action star is going to pivot to being an evil tech douche?
unlabelledView post →Spiderhead (2022) – Review Not content to spend 2022 simply resurrecting Pete "Maverick" Mitchell and stuffing him back behind the joysticks of ludicrously fast planes in his glorious Top Gun sequel, Joseph Kosinski was also taking potshots at big pharma courtesy of Spiderhead; a Netflix thriller that tries hard to avoid the streaming premier curse of being instantly forgettable. A gradual, unravelling mystery that sees Chris Hemsworth watching over Miles Teller and Jurnee Smollett as they…

It's unbelievable stupid. Don't worry, it's also got a very bad movie rating in general so fewer people will watch it on Netflix. The soundtrack was nice, though.

unlabelledView post →"Spiderhead" is a clinical, high-concept psychological thriller that succeeds by trapping the audience in a visually pristine yet morally decaying environment. Joseph Kosinski directs with a sharp eye for modern aesthetics, transforming a remote, brutalist penitentiary into a vibrant laboratory where the horrors are masked by upbeat synth-pop and state-of-the-art design. The film avoids the typical tropes of prison dramas, opting instead for a colorful, drug-induced haze that makes the…

unlabelledView post →never watched the Spiderhead movie because I heard such mediocre things; Saunders in general is still very close to my heart but I hear you
unlabelledView post →Anyway apropos of this, I highly recommend George Saunders book of short stories, Tenth of December, named one of the 10 Best Books of 2013 by NYT Book Review. One of the stories was adapted to film on Netflix, the fascinating Spiderhead starring Chris Hemsworth and Miles Teller, which I also rec.

unlabelledView post →Futurist at the movies: my micro-review of “Spiderhead.” Though not stunning as a film, "Spiderhead" is the best of the 2022 futurist movies I’ve seen so far, and I appreciated its originality.
unlabelledView post →#SpiderHead is a film from the Black Mirror school of screenwriting. It begins in a progressive correctional facility funded by drug trials. Experimental drugs auto-injected by remote control pods, only after explicit verbal consent from the subject. What could go wrong? It's dark, no question, but like Devs, it's a thoughtful psychological thriller played out in a near-future, sci fi scenario. #movies #SciFi #BlackMirror #DrugTrials #MedicalEthics

unlabelledView post →Spiderhead could have been so much more but settled for bland. Spiderhead’s concept presented compelling possibilities but fell very short of its potential. The movie focuses on pharmaceuticals that create love, fear, and other emotions in its prison-mandated test subjects. I expected the plot to center on characters grappling with whether they actually love their new boyfriend/girlfriend, causing them to doubt every decision since they entered the program — a psychological angle. Instead,…
neutral · AI labelView post →Going into Spiderhead I was not expecting much due to the mixed bag of reviews, but I was really surprised. The concept is really interesting and very deranged, I found myself gasping out loud at scenarios that were presented to the inmates throughout the film. While I do agree that the third act does fall bit short, I still found it enjoyable enough. The acting in this movie was superb. Chris Hemsworth does an excellent job as the "villain," he really makes you believe that he is doing this…
positive · AI labelView post →Also, very glad to see that Supermodel University is still open in 2022 and turning out new doctors. We haven't heard much from them since 1990s Cinemax, so I'm happy the school is doing well! #Spiderhead
unlabelledView post →Can't fault the acting or the production values. This was filmed in Australia, on an island in Queensland. The premise should be more interesting than the way this film presents it. Poor directing? Perhaps. As I said, the acting is good and believable. A couple of plot holes that I couldn't wrap my head around. The film was based on a short story, which I'm told is a very good story. Clearly the movie got something very wrong. A few days after I watched it, and the movie is unmemorable.
negative · AI labelView post →The concept is fascinating enough, but the story is so slow and boring that it's hard to follow. Seems like there's a message buried somewhere in there, but it's easy to fall asleep before Evil Corporations oh my god is properly repackaged and regurgitated at whatever climax they think they wrote into the script somewhere. Snore.
negative · AI labelView post →Watching Netflix #Spiderhead and just had a laughing fit. Subjects are on some sugestive drugs and the line is: Heather, put a sock in it! Heather complies and starts removing her sock from her foot...🤣😂 Yeah, I'm easily amused, I know 🤩

Chris Hemsworth proves again that he's one of the most underrated actors working today, while Miles Teller and Jurnee Smollett share excellent chemistry. Technically, Joseph Kosinski and his team are able to generate an uneasy atmosphere in a single…
