neutral · AI labelView post →The Fix has historical importance because it marks the first time I know of when a movie has been marketed as redemption for 9/11 ON 9/11. 9/11 is no longer trauma that needs to be fixed. It's dad grumbling. It's a dril tweet. It's careerist camp
negative · AI labelView post →THE FIX advertises it's out "This 9/11" like a Santa Claus movie at Christmas. It glorifies the death of Middle Eastern people and eroticizes Persian women when it's not killing them on camera. Zachary Levi frequently looks like he's trying not to get eaten by a T-Rex (pictured). My review.
negative · AI labelView post →The Fix is a bad movie for America’s highest-belted and most-wraparound-shaded dads. It pretends to be a Liam Neeson movie but, damningly, it is a Zachary Levi movie www.avclub.com/the-fix-review
neutral · AI labelView post →The plot of the new Zachary Levi/Liam Neeson movie The Fix is *literally* men will invade Iran rather than go to therapy. So dog-serious and by-the-books: gf who doesn't understand; 3-kings-style war heist; paternal betrayal; regeneration through violence. BUT! >> www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYC0...

The Fix (2024) Director: Kelsey Egan 10 minutes in I can tell this is the opposite of good. Terrible, zero personality, feels like AI reading a shitty script. YA dystopia made by dumb teenagers

It's what she sought out, while thinking she didn't deserve it. Or they're just dumb moralistic neurotypicals, idk.

So, why not also double down and also attack one of the biggest movies to come out this year. Trust me, no one is remembering “The Fix” in 3 months.

neutral · AI labelView post →This is gritty and convoluted just like a heist movie should be. Zachary doesn't do a very good job in it, and Liam is in it far too little. The hang-up of the group trying to atone for past mistakes becomes almost like exposition. It doesn't quite land, and therefore the ending doesn't feel very earned. I still enjoyed the movie, but it isn't a particularly good version of a heist like this.
