unlabelledView post →Yeah I'm still clinging on that Tweet about infamous bad movies and having to visualize that people in the 2000s had to pay actual money in a movie theater to go watch Son of The Mask or Mortal Kombat Annihilation
unlabelledView post →Agreed. Even a film of dubious quality can be interesting to look at and analyse the creative decisions made that led to the final cut. It's why I find movies like "Son of the Mask" and "Master of Disguise" so fascinating to watch and learn about to understand the choices the filmmakers made.

unlabelledView post →Son of the Mask is a bone-chillingly terrible movie, but on the other hand, I wish someone would put on The Mask and then pull me into an outrageous night of intimacy. I just think it'd be fun
unlabelledView post →Big shout out to whoever wrote Alan Cumming's Wikipedia page and made the whole "Career: 2000-2011" section about his West End roles, production work, essays, and documentaries, without a single mention of his film roles of that era (Spy Kids, X2, Garfield, Josie and the Pussycats, Son of the Mask)

unlabelledView post →In my opinion, if you call a new movie the worst ever, or the worst in its subgenre, you can't just say why the new one is bad. You should also be able to explain why you think the other so-called “worst” movies are better. Explain why SON OF THE MASK is a better film than MADAME WEB. I’m curious!
unlabelledView post →Son of the Mask (2005) This is not a good movie. I actually hate it. But it did inspire me to pursue animation. I was inspired by one of the character's professions and the BTS features praising the greats like Tex Avery and Chuck Jones. The former got me to seek out his amazing toons.

These days I consider it a Bad Movie but it doesn't change the fact that when I was a kid I saw a Funny Dog and wanted to go see a movie with it.

He owns a penthouse, is the mayor of Pennsylvania, and acted in the movie “Son of the Mask” Needless to say, I’m doing WAY better than him! Heh!
unlabelledView post →Son of the Mask was apparently the second (and last) movie the director ever worked on. Even Hollywood knew what evil he was capable of

Max’s only other credited role was in the Yahoo Serious film “Mr. Accident”. A similar looking dog named Bear portrayed the dog named Odis in “Son of the Mask”. #TheMask #FilmSky #MovieSky

unlabelledView post →Son of the Mask is an incredible film that uses a concept as silly as The Mask itself to tell an emotional story about the lengths we go through, the sacrifices we make, to make sure that those who come after can know that they are loved. If you haven't seen it, fix it. If you have, see it again!

Since this is me we're talking about and thus there had to be SOME fuckery, I had it so that the movie switched every time someone said "yeah."

Like you could attempt it, but it's one of those cases like The Crow where the initial film adaptation has overshadowed the source material's footprint in a lot of ways. And even in The Crow's case the sequels were never reviled to the extent that Son of The Mask was

If you're going to reuse a title like that, you should call your movie "The Son of the Mask" so that your movie is the good one. 📽️ 🎥
