You can't get as creative with the kills as you could in 3, there are way too many enemies on each map so the best strategy is to be stealthy and eliminate only those that you absolutely must in order to not alert anyone or else you're in a big trouble. Once the enemies detect you, they're 100% accurate even from a mile away (basically the same bs this franchise has been cursed with since the beginning), that combined with the multitude of…

The visuals are solid, and while the maps aren’t fully open world like earlier entries, they’re still large, detailed sandboxes packed with side objectives, contracts, and optional challenges that give you plenty of freedom in how you approach each mission. Customization is a strong point here. Weapons, gadgets, and upgrades are all tied to a money…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No manual saving for making your own checkpoints is unacceptable. Stealth games have Quick Saving since 2001 Splinter Cell ffs. Being at the mercy of autosave arbitrary checkpoints means when i die, and it puts me back some 10 minutes since the last auto checkpoint. Makes me want to drop the game and install a better one immediately. Level Design is quite rough imo, everytime you think of an organic or expected route to naivgate to it is either blocked off or needlessly convoluted to get…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Distance is the weapon here. Patience is the trigger. Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts isn’t about chaos or speed. It’s about control. You’re not thrown into battles. You’re positioned above them. Every mission is a sandbox of angles, wind, timing, and restraint. One shot can solve everything — or ruin the entire plan. The game rewards observation more than aggression. Tag targets. Study routes. Wait. And waiting feels powerful. Sniping is deliberate and satisfying. Bullet drop matters.…

unlabelledView post →Not recommended for newbies and casual players. The save game system is very bad and you have to mostly start from the beginning of level everytime you die.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very rare saves. After 2-3 hours of playing and killing many enemies in big region - single error sends you way back. After 3-4 repeats becomes boring.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts could have been a good title, but it is completely ruined by some major, unacceptable flaws. The good sides are first of all the detailed graphics and the locations of the missions which are open-world and give you the freedom to approach the missions as you prefer. This game wants to be a sniping simulation so the shooting is more refined and complex then in other sniper titles like Sniper Elite ( although in Sniper Elite its way more fun ). When you shoot, you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If I could give a neutral rating, I would. This game is okay - not good, not bad. Since there were overall many recurring annoyances, I'd still not want to recommend the game. Positives first - map designs are neat, sniper rifles feel nice to use (+the kill-cams are cool) and the visuals are pleasing. The overall performance was solid, but my PC is also way above the recommended specs, so I can't really judge that part. Sadly that is about it for the positives. Map traversal is absolutely…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is a fun game BUT if you get killed you go way back. Way way back. There should be a "save game" key or some sort of way to save your game occasionally. Like in the newer REBELLION GAMES you press F5 to save no matter where you are. That keeps you from starting way back in the game like this one does. I have deleted this game twice in frustration. But like they say " sign on being crazy is doing the same mistakes over and over."

I can *feel* my backlog burning a hole in the back of my head 🥲
unlabelledView post →Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts is basically a stripped-down, focused sniper experience, and honestly it works better when you stop expecting a big story or traditional campaign. Because there really isn’t one — it’s more like a set of missions stitched together than an actual narrative. The sniping, though, is very well done. From scope adjustments to bullet physics and gun customization, this is where the game actually shines. It finally feels like a proper sniper game instead of just a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is really nothing special. The sniping mechanics are rather shallow and you often play as a glorified infiltrator. There just aren't that many targets with actual sniping opportunities, you just sneak around with throwing knives/silenced pistol. A ton of objectives that aren't targets to kill, so again, you don't snipe, you enter a compound and sneak around. I just... I don't see what's fun about the gameplay. If this game released in like 2011 it might have been solid and unique…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good casual sniper game Overall : 7/10 Sniper contracts is a nice, relaxing sniping game. Nothing fancy, nothing innovative. It improves on previous installments, giving a lot of freedom on how to tackle the contracts. Super easy, fun but definetely forgettable. Gameplay : 7/10 A usual FPS. Nothing new. the gunplay is actually better then the previous installment (sniper ghost warrior 3), and the freedom to tackle contracts the way we want is actually nice. You can go all…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is quite buggy regarding trying to finish challenges. It is a fun game in concept, but it takes a certain mood and mindset to enjoy the game, if you aren't a completionist, pick this game up on sale, and you'll have a blast.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is a bit of a joke. I keep getting stuck on environment in the first real mission and having to reload from checkpoint. Super annoying that I can't jump out of the softlock, I'm just hovering with my legs moving. Sniper game play is good and it has good hard difficulty.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →*rubs my hands together* In Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, there's a bug with precisely ONE takedown animation that turns motion blur ON (normally it's off, and it's not in the options menu). In the previous SGWC, there IS an option for motion blur, but performing any takedown will turn it off!

The stealth hits different because you have pure freedom to ghost a compound, and the ability to interrogate targets adds crazy depth to the lore and the Seeker’s story. It is a massive brain move using those interrogations to extract intel and piece together a narrative that actually feels fresh compared to copy-paste modern shooters. Combining that tactical…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As soon as you're spotted the entire map aggros you and has extra high perception, which means you're reloading every single time unless you want to go zero stealth for the mission. Too annoying, man.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best stealth & sniper games I ever played, even 6 years after its realise. SGW Contracts #1 and #2 are similar (they also both have a lot of small bugs), Non-linear story and far better graphics, gameplay than the SGW original series,
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, it's pretty generic. I don't like arcade games, and the gameplay feels like it's from 20 years ago. The best part is the bullet drop; it's really fun. The rest is just window dressing. For example, I don't like the turret or the overly sophisticated scanner. Personally, I prefer something more natural and intuitive. Like I said, it's very arcade-like. However, if you like these kinds of games, like Sniper Elite but with much more power, then this one's for you. Of course, I turned off…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really like this game. I bought on sale so i feel like this was an absolute steal! I purchased both games and all DLC and so far this to me is a hidden gem since i've never seen anyone play it before
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is like 70% finished. There is a lot of jank and so if you are a completionist, may want to give it a pass. 100% stealth/Nonlethal (first location challenge) with guards literally teleporting around was frustrating. There is an ironman challenge that I haven't attempted yet but with the lack of reliability of the physics I don't know if I will worry about it. Also the cover system is barely adequate and thrown objects are wildly inconsistent. The sequel is far more solid in terms of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall it's alright, the bullet POV killcams are probably the most fun you'll have here. It wants to focus on both stealth infiltration and long range sniping, but it doesn't feel like it does either effectively. I wish I didn't bounce off of it so harshly because the sniping is fun. Since it was designed to be sniped and infiltrated some of the mechanics can make sniping frustrating. Enemies will see you from miles away, any time someone gets alerted they can instantaneously alert the entire…

It feels a lot like the recent Hitman games, which is a massive upgrade.Pros:Well-designed maps with multiple ways to reach your target. The replay value is high due to side challenges. The bullet-cam effects are brutal and satisfying.Cons:Enemy AI can be inconsistent (either blind or aimbots).Minimal story to keep you invested.A great step in the right direction…

One of them was a review of Sniper Ghost Warrior from I believe GGManLives? Not my favorite reviewer but most of the reviews I leave on in the background while I work and do stuff. That and from a buddy of mine named “The Big G”, whom I stream games for every Wednesday or so depending on his schedule. Whilst I was talking to him one day about wanting a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Each region in the game is its own open-world style sandbox. You're given a list of "contracts" a.k.a. objectives to accomplish, but you're given free reign to choose how you accomplish those objectives. I have 100% (Steam Achievements and in-game progress) all areas in both Contracts 1 and 2 and had a blast playing both to full completion.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I see myself as an elite sniper… until the wind decides otherwise . I love planning my perfect shots, even if it sometimes ends in a completely improvised escape . It’s beautiful, demanding, and above all, it reminds me that gravity always wins .
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It has its fair share of bugs, and there aren't a whole lot of missions. Those are my only complaints but they're not big ones. Some of the bugs are pretty funny (don't need to hide the body when it launches itself into orbit), and the missions have good challenges that require you to replay them, which is not only fun to do, they're true to that spirit, challenging, to complete. The game overall is so damn fun, I went ahead and bought the sequel- and it wasn't even on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →better than call of duty slop that we get these days. Snipping feels good clean and satisfying.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a very good sniper game, just like its newer brother (SGWC II). However, I must admit that this version has more bugs than the newer version. unlabelledView post →The game was overall very enjoyable and the sniping felt really unique. It guides the player without just handholding you and showing you a red dot where you need to aim. The graphics are really nice and combat often felt satisfying. The game has some serious bugs like dialogue cutting out, the map not properly working, enemies never losing aggression and the WORST aspect in my opinion is the placement of checkpoints. It's especially bad that exfiltrating and pressing "continue" from the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An older but fantastic sniping game. The Contracts version are better than the originals. It does away with all the pointless driving and moving bases.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Horrible game. The reticle sway is so damn annoying I had to refund it. Contracts 2 is a slight improvement over this but it's bottom of the bargain bin series at best. Get Sniper Elite 4, 5 or Resistance instead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked Hitman Age of Assassination a lot but wish there were more sniper missions in it. Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts filled the gap though.
unlabelledView post →One of the better sniper games out there for sure. It has pretty good graphics and the maps are really big with a number of side objectives and challenges to complete. The game has pretty good customization options and i like how in order to buy upgrades on guns and such you have to spend money. You earn it by completing contracts or looting what you can off of bodies. Nothing is restricted either from the start which is nice. Biggest issue is that despite the games verified status on deck…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Platinum #91: Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts. Had this game on my list to finish for a while, but to be honest whenever I would try it something about it just kept making me put it off. Once I got into it this time though it was pretty fun. Trophy list was easy and fun. Will play 2 soon.
unlabelledView post →Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts is proof that more isn't necessarily better. This game gives the player 5 handcrafted missions, plus a training ground. The maps are open, so you decide how you go about completing your objectives. The game-play is solid and the perfect shot rewarding. The only downside I've seen in the negative reviews worth mentioning is not being able to save when you like, i.e. we've been given an auto-save. A little annoying, but it doesn't ruin the game. An easy 4/5

Sure it has not a lot of story but the gunplay is top tier and its been bug free for me so far, this game made me appreciate stealth games again after having some bad experiences in other modern stealth shooters, for 4$ it is absolutely worth it for its amazing gunplay and huge open world maps, for 30 dollars?…

unlabelledView post →Frustrating. Your character constantly gets stuck in the dumbest areas where you can't do anything except restart from a checkpoint that was made arbitrarily. At the highest difficulty, enemy AI is inconsistent. They will either spot you in 0.1 seconds without any warning, or will be so blind its astounding that you're playing at the highest difficulty. The challenges are bugged too. It will say "kill x and x without raising alarm" as failed, yet still have "complete all contracts without…

I was going to do all the achievements but this game is simply just broken. I feel like there are a lot of glitches in this game with very basic things like floating in one spot if you get stuck between a guard rail, spawning out of the mission area. i feel like ethe game developers didn't play the game al the way through before releasing it.
