A warning to anyone playing this game. A sudden power outage will corrupt your save file and that corrupted save file will get uploaded to the Steam Cloud, leaving you with no backups. So it's smart to do periodical manual backups of the file where the game is installed at Gemdiggers\Saves\Profile01\profile.dat. The developer claims he fixed it, but it's still an issue.

This is the skeleton of an idle game. There's no input outside of upgrading your meager selection of upgrades, and once you have them all (only 20-30 hours in), that's it. There's nothing else. Sell the gems, watch your money increase with nothing to spend it on, repeat until you hit the 60 hour mark and get all the achievements. It's not even much of an idle game because the bag space you start with is pitiful, requiring you to sell every 5 minutes, or make no progress, and by the time you…

This game markets itself as a cozy desktop miner but the reality is just a massive waste of electricity. The actual game, the part where you are upgrading, unlocking things and seeing any actual progression basically ends at the 30 hour mark. But does the game let you finish? No. It fully expects you to leave it running for another 30 hours to hit the 60 hour mark, just mindlessly grinding with absolutely no new additions to the game. No new zones, no new mechanics, just watching a tiny dwarf…

Sin Slayers: Meat & Greed is an idle game where you mine for gems and upgrade your perks slowly. There really isn't much about it but I had fun with it doing work while 'gaming'. It was more of a studying companion than a game to me.

This game is definitely an idle game... you can't fault it for that... The problem is, it's too idle. For the first 18 minutes, I haven't had to do anything. In fact, more than that, beyond selling the occasional shiny rock, I haven't been able to do anything. I haven't been able to make number go up, I haven't been able to interact with the game. I can't make the gnome dig a certain direction. (I suspect he's meant to be a dwarf, but the model looks more gnome like) I have been unable to do…

There's a lack of effort from the developers regarding this game. Let's compare this to a similar game, Rusty's Retirement. Sure, it's twice the price but it has more than twice the content. Something basic like changing the biomes would help a bit. Not to say that the game repeats the same formula for the new digging areas, so, there's no really a sense of progress or accomplishment whenever you upgrade and move to new areas. Basically, there's a fundation for an idle game but it lacks…

A not-so-idle game that has nothing cozy going on with it. It doesn't work properly if you have multiple monitors connected, as the game will most likely run while in the void and you cannot do anything about it (well, you can go and edit the settings file and hope it works). Oh, and even then it has its own dimension, regardless of your monitor size. It won't really go to the corner since the game own dimensions aren't that far out. (In my case, it's about the middle of the screen) The UI…

I like idle games, but this is just painfully slow! Also not very idle until you shell out loads of money for bag slots.

The devs reached out to me via email and offered me a key - so yes I received the product for free. Having said that, I still think this is a cute and fun little idle game. I have been diving into indie and incremental games lately and, honestly, this one is great. It IS mainly idle, at least at the moment I am reviewing it, so you don't do much and it is a bit slow starting out. Overall, I really like this game and recommend it. It is also very inexpensive, which is even more of a reason to…

Fun idle game! You play as a lone dwarf, mining through cursed lands. There’s no rush or chaos but the slow rhythm of digging, collecting, uncovering. I keep it running while I play other games, and it feels like a companion. Like someone working quietly in the background while I chase louder stories elsewhere. But when I come back to it, I notice things. The atmosphere. The restraint. The way the game lets silence do the talking. It doesn’t force lore on you—it lets you feel it. The…

Extremely shallow idle game, that almost dont deserve the title at all. I have no problem game need some activity to progress as some active part is necessary- does not matter if you click on sell button there and there and left it idle rest of time. However the game is extremely shallow, there is basically nothing to do, nothing to really progress or to explore, not anything player can really affect or interact with. There is only few upgrades available from very start and their stronger…

As a huge idle game player, this game is meh at best. Another cornerpond clone but with mining. I thought it was going to be more than what it is, however it is not the case. My biggest issue with the game is stupid I'll admit but the name seriously bugs me. There is no sin, no slaying, and no meat. Who saw this name and thought "it's perfect!". Outside of the "greed", the name makes zero sense for this game. I do like the graphics, I'll give it that however you're not missing anything here as…

I said yes, but this is a maybe. I read a lot of people disliked this because it required interacting too often. I kind of enjoyed that. It kind of bugged me at first, as it's very "need to interact to continue", but after awhile it gave me something to look forward too! Wish there was a lot more fleshed out with it, it could be something fun.

Sin Slayers: Meat & Greed is a solid idle game overall, striking a good balance between being mostly hands-off while still keeping you engaged with upgrades and progression decisions. Early on it feels very rewarding, as many of the 50 achievements or goals are unlocked quickly, which creates a strong sense of momentum. Unfortunately, that pace doesn’t last — progression slows down significantly in the mid-game, briefly improves, and then completely stalls in the endgame. After around 51…

Nothing really to write home about. I would love something a little more VISUALLY engaging like Desktop Defender. Also, when my power went out, my save file corrupted so I hard to start from the beginning.

If you’re coming from the original Sin Slayers expecting an actual expansion or a meaningful evolution, save your money. This doesn't feel like a game; it feels like a chore designed by someone who heard what an RPG is but never actually played one. The "Gameplay" (or lack thereof): The core loop is mind-numbingly repetitive. It lacks the tactical depth that makes turn-based combat engaging. Instead of strategic choices, you’re just clicking through menus and watching health bars move in the…

Sin Slayers: Meat & Greed, developed and published by Goonswarm Games, is a lightweight incremental experience that takes the dark fantasy world of Sin Slayers and reinterprets it through a far more relaxed, almost passive gameplay loop. Instead of dungeon crawling or tactical combat, it shifts focus toward steady resource accumulation, gradual upgrades, and the quiet satisfaction of watching numbers climb over time. It’s a game designed less for immersion and more for coexistence—something…

It is clear from the mixed reviews that many players are approaching this game with the wrong expectations. This is not a failure of the game's design; it is a failure to understand the distinct types of idle games. The idle genre is broad, and you simply cannot compare games designed for constant interaction to a truly passive experience. In reality, the game sits in the minimalist/passive idle category. The closest parallel is a game like Cornerpond, but even that comparison overstates the…

Can't type in other windows without the game going all fubar, as the window still takes full focus. It's a pointless game other than that, not many things going on here. Potential is there, but just, they didn't bothered much with this. There are better alternatives for this, for free.

I was looking for a cute idle miner game like this for a while, and ye, even though its a mining game, its missing depth. all you can do is sell inventory and buy upgrades and the rest is automatic. it could be solved by adding some buyable outfits for the dwarf. or maybe some different mining locations with different gems and their own progression depth. or maybe the dwarf can encounter a secret shop from an underground creature that sells fun stuff. maybe add a cute little decoratable house…

It's cute. There's no point to it, but hey, there's a dwarf chasing things he loves. /shrug It's less of a game and more of a screensaver that requires input every 5-10 minutes to continue the animation. Kinda stupid, TBH. lol. Not the best in its genre. Worth the 74¢ I paid for it? Sure. I suppose.

Where do they get ideas for game names from? What does Sin Slayers have to do with mining? Exactly what I'd expect from Goonswarm Games XD Also no Meat or Greed in this game what is going on? Edit: The program name is GemDiggers.exe too
