SimpleRockets
Developer Jundroo, LLC
I am excited to release my first game on Steam! SimpleRockets was released in 2013 for mobile and I've put a ton of work into it to get it ready for PC and Mac. It was inspired by KSP, and it offers a simpler 2D experience for building rockets and exploring space with realistic orbital mechanics. From the Steam store page

I bought this game as my current computer cannot run Kerbal Space Program, however I still wanted to build rockets. It goes without saying that this isn't KSP so don't buy if you're expecting an advanced game like that. As far as it goes you can build rockets, probes and rovers, and basically send them wherever you want - oh and the graphics are just plain awesome. Thinking of getting…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →SimpleRockets is one of those games you get really addictive to it then after a few days you get bored of it and leave it, Simply because it takes to long to learn new things )like learning to land on the "smoon") But then you get back to it and it starts all over again. In my opinion, they should keep updating it with new fuel containers / rockets so we dont have a small variation on it. I would recomend it but only if you love space or you want to learn from it. I would rate it at least a 9…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game, until the dev abanoned it for simpleplanes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple Rockets This review was last edited when I had completed the "Parachute Landing" Challenge (8/18) Quick Review SimpleRockets is a 2D rocket simulation with easy to use controls, basic but adequate graphics. You can either take on a preset challenge or fly in a sandbox environment. You design your own rocket from preset modules and then fly it! I found the game tremendous fun to play as well as educational on some of the basic principals of flying rockets Long Review The build screen…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Inspired by Kerbal Space Program" definitely hits the nail on the head. If someone liked KSP and can live with the lack of adorably dumb Kerbals, they will have a lot of fun with this sandbox physics simulation game. It can be a bit tricky at times to attach parts where one wants to attach them due to the editor not being as precise as one would wish for, but ultimately Simple Rockets remains an awesomely complex physics simulation which allows countless crazy designs for things that go boom.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is amazing! as it says in the title, its quite simple. its a fun game that teaches you a little science, and has some pretty funny names for the planets. The only thing this game is missing is some of the planets moons, but thats fine!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its not bad, really not bad at all. It has cross compatibility for mobile devices and you can play it on any tablet or powerful/big phone.... But issue? This is essentially bootleg KSP. I dont doubt the devs and i have already tried their other product, simpleplanes, and im very glad with how that one worked, but this one is quite literally a very VERY watered down KSP in 2D form. This one brings nothing KSP didn't do already and on top of that, this one is essentially just constant challenges…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Like many people have said already this game is a moble port to pc... that being said it is fun for a little bit but after that you get bored very fast. in order to make this a actual game it needs alot more content, more ways to customize your rocket and better ways to keep them attacted to eachother. donot buy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →SimpleRockets! Exactly what the title says, this is a game akin to Kerbal Space Program where you are launching semi-realistic rockets into near and far 'Smearth' orbit. The graphics are wonderfully done, and the gameplay is challenging while adhering to Newtonian physics. Defintely a perfect gateway game to the much more realistic and complex KSP, especially for newbies or children who require a simpler platform for learning the basics.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Needs more parts and things to do in sandbox, more rockets, satelites, lunar landers, types of rockets, cockpits, deployments,
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →you dont have to be a brain scientist or a rocket surgeon
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Jundroo, LLC FTW
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an amzing game it is like 2D Kerbal Space Program and it is just as fun 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a good game but not worth buying. If it's free or very cheap go ahead, but if you have money just buy KSP.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its a fun game at least for a couple hours. I feel like this game is not worth 7.99 i suggest getting it on sale. And there arent that many things to do. Besides that its good game to pass by time i dont recommend this to people looking for a game to play often though.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Challenges, skins and stuff! In store for you when you pick up your copy! Interesting little casual title. Filled with casual gaming goodness. SimpleRockets, that's what it is. That's what it does. Recommended on sale! That's when I bought it after all. Sing Smajor Stom whilst in orbit around Smearth. Good times Gina, good times.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tedious and boring with a "figure it out yourself" attitude, and no direction or help in figuring things out.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The very aptly named SimpleRockets has a very fun and creative premise: assemble more than two-dozen different types of mechanical modules into just about any shape you want, and taking into account an accurate simulation of fuel usage, weight distribution and air resistance, test it out from a take-off point on any planet in a to-scale representation of our solar system. You have the tools to create multi-stage space shuttles, hardy ground rovers, solar-powered gliders, and just about anything…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun and easy to get into this one. Some challenges are easy, some are tough, at least one is diabolical. Rockets, physics and orbits.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →plz at least make this game free and give me a refund if ur not gonna update the game coz it hasnt updated in 2 years. i would like it more if u put a little bit more work into the game , at least put worksho support :\
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nowhere near as interesting and KSP, but if you can get it for cheap why not. 6/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good game with a huge sandbox! I'd reccomend it to anyone who wants to get into sapce games as it is not as complex as Kerbal Space Program
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An enjoyable game for sure - build something crazy and see if it can get to space. Finish the missions - use the tools (the intercept is a nice) and see if you can make it as a "by the seat" orbital mechanic - in real time!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →SimpleRockets has failed to engage the rocket scientist in me
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a mobile ported 2D ripoff of Kerbal Space Program where you design rockets and then try them out in a variety of challenges. We have a number of problems here and the developer kind of admits his game is inferior to KSP as well as unabashedly admitting he's ripping off someone else's work. Making a 2D, retrograde version of a 3D game is like cutting your legs off at the knees so you can be shorter. Why go through extensive effort to be worse than you could have been? Next…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →just like the simulations
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game plays well until you have to rendezvous with another orbiting object. The programmer didn't provide us with the correct relative velocity vector, making rendezvous a nightmare. The gray indicator is useless, I would rather have the relative velocity vector. Every simulation of the kind provides it, I don't understand how could the programmer mess this up so badly. As is I don't recommend this game, it's just too frustrating.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, just save up and get KSP or Simple Planes, dont even bother...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Less Rocket Science, More Casual Fun Simple Rockets is a detailed spacecraft building and piloting simulation inspired by games like Kerbal Space Program. The main difference is that Simple Rockets is all 2d. While playing Simple Rockets you’ll get a lot of the same sort of things you’d do in KSP – a trial and error focused experience where the player tries to reach new goals like creating a rocket capable of leaving the atmosphere, then piloting it into orbit. Overall, Simple Rockets…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved this game, it's like a KSP clone that is cheaper and easier. I also don't have a very good computer, and this runs perfectly on it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a piece of Sh!t. this game should cost 2 pounds. It says that you can build planet bases. NO YOU CANNOT. It looks rough and unfinished. There is no objective or purpose to this game. If your looking for a similar game which is better AND free, Check out "Space Agency" On the Android app store. Holy gaben this game is bad.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hopeless for PC, get Kerbal Space Program instead
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game I have to say!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I remember enjoying these games a lot more on tablet. For PC the game needs some fixes / optimizations. For instance: The icons to control the craft are all scattered far across the bottom edges of the scree. This is a long ways to drag the mouse on a PC. The button for staging is all the way to left while speed control is all the way to the right. This could certainly be optimized for PC gaming and larger monitors but sadly it hasn't. Worth it on sale (Don't expect updates for a mobile port).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun to build rockets eisier than sr 2
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super little game, perfect for those who are undecided about getting Kerbal Space Program. (Of course, KSP is still the daddy!) It is missing a few key features, such as: Warping to a specific point on your trajectory The ability to turn without your engines on Focusing the map on anything but your ship - but these are very minor annoyances. Relatively few challenges presented, but if you puzzle your way through with your brain instead of a guide, the latter ones should keep you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is not simple
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's kinda simpler version of Kerbals, fun to play with for a while.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →just an eh game if you cant buy KSP but its still fun some tines
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it is an ok game but bnot somthing i could find my self getting too deep into
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great Game Lots of Replayability
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it is a brilliant game and is realy fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →best game ive played for an while 10/11
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great simple game ;) it made my day
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It didn't work, like I pressed play and nothing would happen!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the best rocket simu game ive ever played, for the money its really good. very challenging.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very very good game! would recoment if you either have a PC not powerfull enough to play KSP or if you want something alot more simple than it! very easy to learn game and i love this game to bits! please buy
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is very short and no story just a sandbox game. It's good as a mobile game but on PC I would have expected some more parts. Fun for few hours but gets boring after that, not much to do either for me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The original, super awesome classic 2D Kerbal Space Program clone for mobile, but on PC! I've played this for many hours on mobile, unfortunately it can no longer be installed from Google Play due to being built for an older version of Android, but thanks to being available for PC, I can now relive the classic experiences of my childhood! 10/10 would recommend, it's actually easier to digest than Kerbal Space Program and Simple Rockets 2 (now called Juno: New Origins) since it removes that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →less autistic than kerbals by one dimension that said, 2/3rds the autism of kerbals is still a lot of autism to enjoy
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Note: I'm not a rocket or space physics expert. I just like sandbox games like SimpleRockets. This was the very first game I purchased on Steam. I discovered it after doing a Google search for a rocket simulator (I was pining for Ye Goode Ole Days of Microsoft Space Simulator). I never heard of Steam before so had I not done that Google Search, I would never have found out about Steam, or the great games I've gotten including this one. And SimpleRockets is a great sandbox game. Some people…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As the name suggests this is a basic rocket building game. Overall the gameplay is entertaining as well as informative. This game gives a great introduction to a lot of stellar concepts and does a great job at keeping the user enticed in a way that you wouldn't even realize that you may be learning something. This review was given after an hour of gameplay, will update review shortly.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice game. I decided to try after KSP. Control is almost identical. Unfortunately, the movement is only in one plane. Quickly bored.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Poopee funny good game lol laugh out loud
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →greatest game of all time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is pretty good a few issues like bugs but thats it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →2D Rockets? Super simple to understand? Really easy to play but hard to master? Yes, yes, yes! It's a really fun time waster.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice game, though gets kinda boring when you've completed all of the missions. 8/10 would recommend to get on sale
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As others have posted and complained about, the game crashes as soon as you try to save your rocket or launch it. This bug has been in the game since 2015 so it doesn't look like it will be fixed anytime soon. Only the 2nd game I have asked for a refund for from steam :(.
