negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very short as a game but definitely cute, the full price is decidedly high for a couple of hours of play locked in a room collecting objects that are all the same for each season. Overall I liked it. 7/10 to take on discount

In Simpler Times sort through puzzles, records, keepsakes and photos as you relive the memories of Taina as she prepares to leave home for the first time. The Story You play as Taina as she prepares to leave home for the first time. Relive her most cherished memories as she packs up her belongings. Listen to Taina’s favorite records, take photos, browse books and solve puzzles. The game takes place over ten years with 4 prominent…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short but cute. Has a warm story, simple puzzles, easy achievements and collectables which you can go back to after finishing the plot. Good cosy game c:
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm writing a review for the first time while playing the game, which was a spontaneous decision driven by my desire to take some time with it. I actually wanted to play it last year when it was released because the meditative atmosphere combined with a narrative experience and Lo-Fi music appealed to me greatly. However, I never found the right moment for it - until now. So, let's see and let's have some Simpler Times. First of all, I noticed that the controller functionality has some issues,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simpler Times is a cute casual game where you solve some little puzzle quite simples, collect some stickers, listening some music and taking few pictures in a cozy ambient. The soundtrack is relaxing and the designs are nice. I recommend it!!! 📸💗
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fortnite's now-permanent reintroduction of "OG Fortnite" has people feeling nostalgic for "simpler times" and it's making me sick. The game launched in 2017. SIMPLER TIMES???
unlabelledView post →Cute and chill game. You can tell it's a labor of love. The music and art direction is surely a highlight.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simpler Times, developed by stoneskip. and published by iam8bit Presents, is a reflective, narrative-focused experience that leans into quiet introspection rather than traditional gameplay. It is not a game built around challenge or progression in the usual sense, but instead one that invites players to slow down and sit with a series of small, personal moments. Framed around a young woman preparing to leave home and step into a new chapter of her life, it explores the emotional weight of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoyed Simpler Times because you can go at your own pace to explore the room in each season and complete the tasks in the scrapbook. However, the first time I played Simpler Times, I did not realize that playing the record went to the next season, so I missed out on packing all the items in the boxes in Autumn and had to restart. Despite that, I liked the puzzles, the soundtrack, and how cozy the game was.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Relaxing music , nice scenery and good atmosphere , truly a cosy game . Unlike most other games , in this one you can interact with most objects , it is a nice touch that I rarely see , you can tell how much passion went into making it !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Controls: Easy Gameplay: Easy (Good) Replayability: One time Rewards/Progression: Very Satisfying Story: Slightly interesting Visual Style: Very appealing Completionist friendly: Yes The puzzles were engaging, the music was really good. I don't have any cons for this game. It's a very short game though, two hours for 100% completion so I would get it on sale if possible.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little puzzle game, cute story. Loved that the records connect to certain times in the year. This game really captures the bittersweetness of new chapters and leaving the old ones behind, but ultimately made you feel warm and hopeful. Plus, tidying up in a game is always a thousand times more fun than irl. 'interactive meditation' is quite right, and I think it's a new favorite niche of mine.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very enjoyable experience, very nostalgic and light hearted with some deeper feels, a person just reminiscing about their life before college remembering the good and the bad times which most of us can definitely relate to, some fun puzzles thrown in and lots of dialogue with interactable items and objects with great voice acting, the music was fantastic and the 90's references were spot on with items like the handheld console and walkman. It was a trip down memory lane and worth going.

unlabelledView post →Great game! Really cosy and relaxing. It also made me feel nostalgic about the past. The main character was very relatable. The mechanics are great and easy to understand and the story-line is very deep and moving.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is a beautiful and cozy narrative game. I love how the story is divided into four seasons. The view outside the window changes with each season, and every scene feels special. Autumn is my favorite season, so I spent extra time enjoying the warm colors before continuing the story. 🍂 The game follows a girl named Tiana as she prepares to leave for college and reflects on memories of her family, friends, and the moments that shaped her. I enjoyed the simple puzzles and relaxing activities,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute little game but very very short.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cozy game with chill music that took me on a trip down memory lane. I learned what a diorama is and got motivated to build a birdhouse.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very relaxing, but also very short.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a sweet little short game that I enjoyed relaxing without any stress. Nice to play after a bad day at work or if you just really can't be bothered to do much but want to play something. You are a young girl that moves from room to room in different seasons doing little things on a checklist in a scrapbook. These things are like collecting things or making things. It is cute and sweet but very short. I 100%'ed this game in 3 hours, if you don't 100% it then it is probably only 2 hours…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wanted a chill game, got a bunch of buggy puzzles and busy work.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short, but heartwarming tale about growing up and leaving the nest. At $9.99 I feel the price is a little high. It took me 90 minutes to play through and I loved every minute. I definitely recommend picking this up if you are into slice of life, chill, cozy exploration games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What an utter delight of a game! I really enjoyed the experience of this: reading all of the blurbs of books, hearing Taina's commentary on their environment and life as time went on, the wee puzzles and crafts to do—I audibly gasped when I completed the diorama: it was wonderful! The music perfectly underpinned the chill, cosy and wholesome vibe of the game, and the art is amazing: every time I could pick something up and spin it or zoom in, I did—just to take in the effort and quality that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved the game! It's perfect for unwinding and it's clear that a lot of thought has been put in every aspect of the game (art, story and gameplay).

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For CyberMonday I’m going to download my consciousness on to three TDK 90 cassettes, and play the rest of my days as an emulation on a ZX Spectrum. #SimplerTimes
unlabelledView post →The story was cute but being unable to tab out at all during the game even after switching it to windowed mode and with how slow you can turn and move made it almost unbearable. I love the minigames and the story however.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is what it says. A peaceful cozy game with absolutely no stress. Took my time, explored everything, took a little over 3 hours to get 100% achievements with minimal effort. Would probably take a bit longer than that to solve the rubiks cube. I enjoyed the lofi music and getting to know the main character. I felt a little sad the game was over so soon. Wish they had added more levels. If you're a cozy game enjoyer, you'll enjoy this one.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →just a sweet little story telling. some of the books sound so interesting that i wish they were real! the controls are a little wonky but you get used to it eventually.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Such an beautiful, cozy, shorter type of game. Loved it very much
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game. It's cozy and relaxing. HOWEVER, I almost had to give it a thumbs down just for the Birdhouse puzzle alone. One of the most poorly designed puzzles I've ever seen, in any game. stoneskip. please add a reset button, or make the first thread highlighted or something. It's awful.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short game, but super cute. And I loved the soundtrack. I'm a sucker for good music in games. When the music is just as good as the game. I will love and cherish it. This is such a game and I will definitely come back and play it again.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short, sweet, with a chill vibe. Recommend if you're looking for something similar to Unpacking with a lofi soundtrack.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's decent (which may sound like damning with faint praise, but I really did enjoy my time).....the graphics are low-poly but more than sufficient, the music is........well, not to my tastes, but serviceable enough, and the gameplay (while a little wonky zooming in and out of active zones) is quite fun/enjoyable. This is a first person sorta narrative walking simulator VERY light puzzle game about a young woman heading off to university and packing up things and reliving certain memories,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →beautiful and relatable little game, with pretty cool puzzles and beautiful music that really adds to the atmosphere. perfect for a cozy night :) bonus points from the true-to-life, 12th grade flashback inducing math test
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short, relaxing, cozy, casual game about a young woman reminiscing through seasons as she's preparing to head off to college. You see her room change as time goes by with new things added, comforts remaining, and, through the objects, her changing and growing up as she prepares for a new chapter in her life. I found this a nice game to just sit and relax. No pressures, no clocks, no enemies. Just enjoy the cozy visuals, the chill music, and exploring the small space as it changes. As the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very cozy & relaxing Short game Easy to 100% A+
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a beautiful piece of art, a gut-wrenching coming of age story, a brilliant cozy puzzle game, and a perspective-changing, soul-altering experience. Each level tells a wonderful story of a girl growing up and finding herself, where her bedroom adapts with the seasons and her interests. The game covers the hobbies, family, friends, grief, hope, and aspirations of a witty narrator that you get to grow up with. The puzzles were interesting and definitely not as complicated as my…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Such a calming and lovely game full of fun puzzles and simple activities. Great and calming music too.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is not a game, but a really beautiful artwork, and it's good for teenagers, young adults, and aesthetic people in general. There's nothing deep, you won't find a rich story here, but you'll hear birds chirping and a lofi girl playing in the background. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3419006945
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Relaxing and cozy game. Collecting all of the achievements was fun except I spent WAY too long and also asked my bf to help me so I could solve the rubik's cube. And it didn't even unlock any achievements XD. oh pls why did I do it. Idea was good, story existed, no bugs and looks pretty. I'm happy :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a cute game! <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very cozy and relaxing gameplay. I definitely wish it were a bit longer/there were more things to do.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple, short, but absolutely gorgeous and with great music. Definitely made me nostalgic, and a little bit sad, but in a good way.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A cozy and wonderful little experience. Didn't expect to get so emotional playing this, It's pretty short and only some minor puzzles, but that's not really the point of the game, it's more a reflection on what makes You, You. Reminded me a bit of Unpacking (but in reverse) in that. The last chapter where you have to decide what memories and things you want to bring with you to university and realizing you can't just bring everything is both melancholic and bittersweet but also a important…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I recommend this game to all who want to relax on a rain day with a cup of coffee or a tea. Congrats the developers and all people involved on this project.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →cozy vibes, cozy game; lovely graphics and soundtrack, nice voice acting, and a melancholic story... missable achievement at the start (you'll have to reset the game) so that's something to keep in mind if you wanna go for the 100%
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Everything is magical in this game, I would wholeheartedly recommend it. Congrats to the devs!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simpler Times is a short and relaxing experience with a cozy atmosphere and beautiful visuals. It's the kind of game that's perfect for unwinding at the end of the day, letting you slow down and enjoy the moment without any pressure. There isn't much challenge, but that's not the point. The game focuses on atmosphere, storytelling, and appreciating the small details. Its length feels just right for the type of experience it offers, making it a pleasant and calming journey from start to finish.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game for the most part, relaxing cosy puzzle game with a nice soundtrack and decent graphics, however some of the puzzles aren't very well explained. They're fine once you get started, but it's figuring out how to start that's the tricky bit. I don't like the fact you can't move around the room manually, the 'click to move' functionality gets annoying quickly. Also don't do what I did and play the first record right at the start as you won't be able to come back to that time and get all…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/4rj7HMVS86w Only allowing specific precise actions to accomplish the task list locks players into basic 'Simon says' without a lot of room to experiment or explore.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cozy game about growing up and evolving without losing ourselves. A very sweet note to play when you feel homesick. As somebody living in another country, this game felt quite touching.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute, fun, it's nice. I really like the character narrating everything. Sometimes that kind of thing gets corny and old fast, but I liked it. Excited to play more on a calm fall afternoon.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really lovely game with some reflections on change, stress ahead of it and moving out. Will resonate with a lot of people. There are a few puzzles, so it's not gameplay-less, but you discover the story through clicking on the items present in the room and hearing what the character says about them. Recommended.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →VERY COZY AND BEAUTIFUL
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wasn't expecting this game to hit me so hard, but by the end I found myself crying. Not that the game is sad, but it definitely tapped into some kind of nostalgia deep down or something. It's a very whimsical and nostalgia oriented game in general though. I would describe it as being 1 part interactive narrative, 1 part puzzle game, and 1 part chilling in your room as a kid playing around with all your cool stuff. It's quite clearly meant to be a slow paced exploration game with interactive…
