60 of 186 · most liked first(Spoiler-free) She Sees Red is an interactive movie where, apparently, all choices matter. The movie is natively in Russian but it is also dubbed in English. I came into this expecting a standard interactive movie experience and I feel like I have been let down. In my opinion it is actually below the standard, at least the standard I know. My experiences have been mostly on the positive side, however, I still have a lot of negative things to say about this movie. A rating in between positive…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Imagine that you are watching a movie and in every 3-4 minutes you have to make a decision. You have 2 choices and by making a selection the story continues in another way. This is what She Sees Red offers. Overall, we have 8 sections where decisions need to be made. In the end there are multiple endings. There is a counter in the main menu that shows you the sum total of scenes you have watched. Altogether there are 62 scenes. After 2 completely different playthroughs you have covered barely…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A story as thrilling as my imaginary underwear. The game tries to be atmospheric, but honestly, it’s about as immersive as a plastic plant in the corner of a dentist’s office. It claims to give you choices, but honestly, it’s like being asked “do you want pizza or pizza with crust?” Either way, you’re still eating the same slice with no flavour. English dub? Each character sounds like they just got dragged out of bed at 3AM. Do yourself a huge favor and switch to Russian—it actually feels…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Subpar gory FMV. I like the way how it was filmed but that's about it. The story looked promising at the beginning, however, this was followed by utter confusion, mundane acting and lack of interesting choices in my opinion. After 2 playthroughs the story appears as if it drags on forever (wish there was a better skip option). Quite the wasted potential.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →tl;dr She Sees Red is a short and interactive FMV experience - while it is not exactly Citizen Kane it delivers quite some entertainment (and easy completion) Overview A man gets murdered in a nightclub. Why did he get killed and who is his mysterious assailant? And how is it connected to the club and its owner? Follow an investigator as she gathers clues and follows the killers footsteps through the club, trying to piece together what happened. The Good Stuff The narrative is somewhat…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In life somethings just go together, peanut butter and chocolate (sorry if you have a peanut allergy, but lots of truth exist in this statement), Toast and Butter, Cereal and Milk, Big Bewbs and…. OK never mind. Anyway, as I was saying, somethings just go together, and something I never really though would be a perfect mix but is…. Was…. Wait for it... wait for it… movies and video games. Not video games based on movies, they suck 99% of the time, I’m talking about a movie that is a video…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Most of the FMVs come along with their drawbacks but man, what is this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥? A disgrace to all FMVs up to date. (Spoilers) You are posing as a detective and take on a revenge story but it is barely understandable unless you finish the game multiple. Now, a requirement to finish the game multiple times in order the make a cohesive understanding of the plot is something else and a requirement to finish the game multiple times in order to catch different aspects and change the story is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, it's not a bad game for a small studio from Kazakhstan and it's not a bad game generally (and not a game but interactive movie) — just kinda average, you know. Everything could be better. It's really short and not particularly non-linear. The acting is fine but only when it comes to the protagonist and the main villain. Dialogues... sometimes you just wince. The story has a twist but do not expect anything extraordinary. The main actress is beautiful — I’ll give her that — and the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →They call this an interactive movie, but in terms of length, it's more like an interactive TV episode. One playthrough will take 25 to 40 minutes so pretty short. You will get distracting screen tearing, even with v-sync, unless you set your monitor at 25hz, which I couldn't. It's a Russian game dubbed in English. It's not terrible but it does break the immersion a bit too. There are not that many choices to make, maybe a dozen. They said "every choice matters" at the start, but most of the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It always feels like watching a movie when playing these FMV games. I was surprised that the game wasn't shot with English as the main language, but the dubbed scenes weren't all that bad, they were pretty well done, though I assume the native language scenes with English subtitles would have been better probably, hah. The four endings were .. interesting. Each reveals a different part of the story, so the game recommends you to play the game again multiple times. Some of the elements of the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →She Sees red has an interesting story locked away in it somewhere but it’s annoying to try to find it. I like it when games branch the story based on choices where it changes your journey to the end and the end itself but the way that She Sees Red is setup I have to play through multiple times making different combos of choices just to see more of the main story. This means 20-30 minutes each time just to get an extra crumb of the story. It would have been much better if the game would let you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I recommend this game on deep sale or bundled if you enjoy interactive movies, don't mind gore, and are content with English subtitles. I played through 2 times without skipping scenes, then played through 2 more times with heavy skipping of scenes I already watched. Although both this and Late Shift are focused on crimes, they are very different in many ways. The story is primarily told from the point of view of a detective and a criminal, then there's flashbacks to earlier times or much…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Basically, a 30 minute movie with choices along the way. Compelling and enjoyable. Recommendation: Set audio to original Russian with English subtitles.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An engaging, snappy FMV thriller that keeps you hooked through its short runtime with genuinely decent acting and branching paths. Replaying it to uncover all the grim secrets and different perspectives adds some nice replay value to an otherwise brief watch-and-choose experience. Perfect for a quick, cinematic movie-night gaming session.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall, this game is okay, but only if you can get it really cheap (like $2 or less). I appreciate that it has a scene skip function, since some FMV games like Late Shift don't have that feature at all. However, it was poorly implemented. The game gives no indication whether or not you've watched a scene before so you could easily accidentally skip a new scene because you aren't aware that one of your choices changed something in the scene. Also, for some reason it randomly doesn't let you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It reminds me of a shady detective thriller. The story, acting, and soundtrack are all excellent. There are four potential endings, each of which differs greatly from the others.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →She Sees Red is far too brief and meant to played multiple times for the purpose of... what? It seems the only point is to view every scene and acquire every achievement, all of which requires a couple of hours or so..and done. Otherwise, there's little substance within this shell of an FMV. Its best feature is the ability to skip through repeated scenes. Still, it quickly becomes monotonous on multiple plays. It's a shame because it looks good and seems decently cast, for what little one can…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →She Sees Red is professionally produced and filmed. The cinematography and image quality are very good in this short FMV adventure and the acting is mostly solid. But that’s pretty much all the good stuff to say about it. It severely lacks content. One playthrough takes around 30 minutes and there are only four endings. And even in that little content, there is a lot of padding with overly long “hide & seek” sequences and lots of very grim-looking men staring at each other. The story is pretty…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After seeing everything that She Sees Red has to offer i was left pretty underwhelmed by its lack of content and overall story. While the quality of presentation and production value is quite high and well made the English voice dub is highly out of sync and gets distracting as the scenes play out. It took around 30 minutes to finish one playthrough and while the idea of doing multiple playthroughs to get all the cutscenes is a good idea its actual execution is quite flat. As for the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome FMV from a Russian dev team. 4 different endings, each run takes about 20-30 minutes. The best part? You can skip scenes you've already sat through (which is a big win over Late Shift)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short enough that you can play through it multiple times to see what you messed up the first time. But I can't really say this story involved me this much. I did like the stealth-esque moments.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A decently produced, but dull as bones interactive movie. A playthrough takes around 30 minutes. You can do multiple runs to make different choices, but one was enough for me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool actors, Tarantino dialogues, but the main plot is still rather weak
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Steam Deck performance review of She Sees Red. This game is listed as unsupported but here is my steam deck performance feedback after spending +3 hours and getting 100% of the achievements. If you want a full review of the game itself, there are plenty of reviews online Long story short: It runs but with some issues. Problems I encountered with She Sees Red: 1. The main issue is the transitioning of scenes and possible loading of new scenes. When this happens the screen/game would freeze…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When Justice Imitates Revenge I entered through the club’s back door. I had been called in to solve a case: someone was killing people inside this nightclub. And, apparently, that someone was still there, moving through its corridors, committing these crimes. I stepped into a small storeroom. There was a body. (Was this already too far?) Long before this night, the owner of this place killed my brother. He had become entangled in dealings he did not fully understand, and I did not know how…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My dirty robe, I am of the people From the song that accompanies one of the endings. At first glance, it seemed to me this movie was a typical cop movie made by NTV (NTV is a Russian TV channel that's always making a series about brave cops). But there are moments that would be censored on television. I often encounter in reviews the claim that detective is a telepath. The people claiming this have watched the film with one eye. I also recommend watching in the original language, the English…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →She Sees Red is a short FMV game about a murder investigation in a nightclub, where you watch the actions of both the killer and the detective. Despite the short length, there are multiple branching paths and endings, so it’s definitely worth playing at least a couple of times. I had only two problems with the game : First, the Timeline achievement, where you have to unlock all scenes. This turned out to be quite annoying because only some scenes can be skipped on repeat playthroughs, but…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice, especially for men of culture.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Every Choice Matters I have to admit, I wasn't expecting much when I first launched this interactive game/movie. It's important to note that this game is intended for a mature audience: it includes several fairly violent scenes with quite a bit of blood, which might deter some people. From the very first choice, your storyline can completely change. This leads to some truly unexpected twists! I must say that the directing, the acting, and the way the scenes flowed really shocked me; I wasn't…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/llczA9-TBbU Bouncing between past and present in a crime thriller is a great opening, but that momentum is lost as the game reveals in far too many questions for far too long.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't make her angry!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really liked this FMV. It was an interactive movie/thriller with a lot of action, split into two timelines: a past timeline where you play as a killer and a present timeline where you play as a detective. Choices add a lot of replayability and some of them add extra lore. The story kept me engaged until the end and I ended up watching every scene for 100% completion. English dubbing sounds quite emotionless, I wish they could've done better... Skippable scenes are a plus (some of the FMVs…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm not exactly sure what happened but I think I kind of got the gist. This is a fun dark well acted but short rated R John Wick style caper. Think of it as a high intensity TV show. It's cool to follow the story along and see the twist. Warning: There is a lot of graphic violence, a little nudity, and implied drug use. I think for those who like dark FMV and movie experiences you would enjoy this. I kind of wish though that this had come with subtitles and used the original language instead…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →incredible cringe fest, the acting in this is worse than ive ever come across even in the worst movies, its like they recorded 1 take and just went with it, its embarrassing to play its so horrendous i was cringing the entire 29 minutes continuously and finished the game. there are multiple endings but i really don't even want to know
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →- short - cheap price - good production - interesting story
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game, dark, and good endings. not too long as well
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's very short so pick it up cheap, but as FMV games go it's not bad. I played it dubbed, and some of the english voice acting isn't great. I didn't realise there was an option to use subtitles and have the original voices - that sounds like a better idea. Overall, the plot is quite good, although you've definitely seen this kind of thing elsewhere, and I finished 3 playthroughs in under 2 hours. I guessed half of the 'twist' right at the beginning i.e. I just didn't understand the motive,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The acting is good, and the recordings are quite nice. The voice acting is fine but the dub is a bit off. You can tell that something is off while playing (unless you are playing in the original language, that is Russian). Overall, I am happy with my purchase.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A decent FMV game. I wish I could give it a neutral rating rather than positive. The good: - it is really well made, - it has an interesting enough story. The bad: - I could tell what the twist in the story was from the very beginning, - it felt a bit slow at some points. The neutral: - its quite short, about 40ish minutes for a playthrough. Personally I don't mind it, but I can see why some people would. Playing it on Linux with Proton (9.0) I came across a couple of issues: - videos…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First off, people should know this game is originally in Russian and dubbed in English so that's why the lip movements make no sense if you don't play it in native Russian. Secondly, I actually speak Russian and found the story narrative incredibly confusing to follow (but this was also my first play through so take with a grain of salt I suppose). It's also only like 45 minutes long, not even full movie length, which I found pretty disappointing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is russian game. Buying it or adding it to your wishlist, you support russian policy of invading independent countries and commiting terrible war crimes to their civilian inhabitants.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →" A good short film to watch, a bad game to play " In Short : This "game" is mid at best. sure, the film aspect or the storyline in it was better, the writings is okay, the character is "explained" at the bare minimum. The music is the highest i could like in this "game". This "game" is at best after 1 - 3 playthrough (in which we didn't know about the storyline or so), but to 100% the game, it kills the enjoyment right away. (especially when it want you to watch ALL the scene without some…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →** Game finished ** Actually I was positive surprised, that was well made and realistic, very good acting (except of a couple of scenes with fighting). Anyway I like it, make more of this, thumbs up! There is also a small backstage video in your hard drive, if you want to check it out, go here: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\She Sees Red\She Sees Red_Data\StreamingAssets" ->backstage.mp4 Played with Russian audio and English subs 9/10 Ratings (0-3 Don't bother @ all)…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite short but interesting FMV game. Multiple "playthroughs" are worth it. I did guess the killer in the 1st scene though. The lead actress is cute and her smile is beautiful! Love her and all the other cast members. Played with Russian voice and English Subs, which was amazing. Too short (20-30 mins for a "play"-through). Recommended on a sale. 8/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a short FMV thriller with surprisingly good production values. Multiple playthroughs necessary to get full picture, each about 30 minutes long. I believe that I needed to play the game 6 or 7 times to unlock all the scenes for the "Timeline" achievement. Skip scene available after 2nd playthrough, however the skip function is a bit frustrating as it does not skip everything. I would recommend buying this game on a sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Passable acting for a FMV, nice story with a twist but grows old with multiple play troughs, Bothered with the lip sync mismatch due to dubbing though. Multiple choice ending but generally your choice and decisions are limited. Good for a play trough or two to just find out the story.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →so i played it in russian voice with Eng Sub.. tbh it cant really be considered a game cuz there is barely any 'gameplay' its just a movie with 4 endings that we have to play 4 times to get the whole story.. the acting and visuals are great , immersive enough. but its confusing by design ig. check it out if its on sale, not a waste of time.. quite simple yet interesting story
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Полностью понял сюжет только после прохождения на сто процентов. Единственный минус это длина, маловато.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →She Sees Red is a compact but stylish experiment in FMV-style storytelling, and it leans fully into the gritty atmosphere of a crime thriller. Developed and published by Rhinotales, the game takes place over the course of a single violent incident in a nightclub, weaving together scenes of a mysterious intruder, a determined investigator, and a series of flashbacks that slowly reveal the truth. Rather than functioning like a traditional video game, She Sees Red positions itself as an…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rating: 6.5/10 “She Sees Red” is a brief, interactive thriller that doesn’t try to punch above its weight class but offers a decent B-movie experience if you’re in the mood for a bite-sized story. Clocking in at around 30 minutes per run (an hour if you replay it), the game delivers four possible endings, though your choices are limited and sparse. Each decision does trigger some notable changes, especially if you explore different paths in a second playthrough. Pros: Atmosphere: The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →cons: - short - cheap - stupid - awful - RuSSian pros: none
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"interactive movie" is a bit of a stretch; it's a half-hourish video with 5 or 6 binary decisions. Story feels contrived and confusing. Supposedly replaying with different choices reveals the whole plotline but I don't have any interest to.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A too short game with no time to develop any good story and tension.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First playthrough 35 minutes Second playthrough 22 minutes (skipping seen cutscenes) 3rd, 4th, 5th 6th i dont know. But this was so enjoyable. One of my favorite FMV games out there, its almost like "Late Shift". Will recommend!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The movie is pretty good. Pro: The actors look great. The film image is reminiscent of a real movie. Tone and sound fit too. You can also skip scenes. Once you get the story, it's also interesting to watch. Cons: I feel a bit fooled by the way the actors are behaving. I'm not sure if it's part of a plan because it's supposed to be, or they just play bad and boring. Suspicious. Also how "she" recognizes the course of the housebreaker - unique, strange. Unfortunately, i had to search for the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do you recommend this game? — no, because the transformation from a collection of scenes → interactive movie/game = too cheap; i.e., a limited amount of 'A/B'-choices (that matter) within simple buttons + a title screen with (enough) menu options. I was then thinking, one could basically turn every movie into something like this — taking into account different movie endings, alternative & deleted scenes (also referring to (uncensored) Director's Cut material). Do you recommend this interactive…
