In Bloodshore we take on the role of Nick, a…

The only goal: survival. The last one standing will receive a huge cash price. But as you delve into the format you will soon come to realise that things are not as they seem. The Good Stuff The game really excels at the social commentary. The KiLL/Stream…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm pretty annoyed at having to leave a negative review for this. There's so much potential here, but it feels like it falls short on majority of the aspects. I love FMV genre and Wales Interactive have some great ones, but this isn't it, even if the premise of the story is great. 50 participants, but the entire season seems to last about 1½ in-game days, maybe 48 hours at total. 50 participants, but we see maybe a dozen of them, and some of them in very short fashion. This is more about…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A decent FMV with some unexpected moments. As someone who enjoys those bad movies that are so bad that they are good, I did enjoy this too. A fun take on society and influencers as well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is almost no linkage between decisions made and outcomes. The only way to get to the good end is to stumble blindly through the decision tree.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Starts out as a badly written, badly acted C-movie that's corny enough to enjoy. Then its plot takes an unnecessary and unbelievable turn into "the games are actually rigged and the endings are AI deepfakes". What might be even worse, you don't even get to see like 80% of the contestants. Why say there are fifty players if you limit yourself to maybe ten actors? An FMV about a battle royale game could've been a slam dunk but somehow the game never feels real. So many plot holes and writing…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Incredibly inconsistent choice and consequence patterns throughout this entire game. It's unclear why sometimes your brazen actions are celebrated and other times they lead to you being dubbed a loser. The same with romancing options, one moment one thing makes you charming the next it obliterates your romance options. Not to mention the flimsy consequences in this game when you make a choice that leads to your death. its always just the last choice you made, the game rewinds or undoes what…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not bad, for you who want to know: - You can skip scenes you have watched (some are seems same but there are small details that changed a bit so it unskippable) - the first playthrough (with none skipped) at least 1-1.5 hours gameplay. - the acting is okay, story is okay, kinda no brainer. Get it if: - Your pc/laptop is potato. - Love this kind of game where you just watch and choose. - on sale My rating: 7/10

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bloodshore is an FMV game where player character Nick has entered a reality TV show called Kill/Stream, where contestants fight to the death in an island based battle royale tournament to win fame and fortune. Gameplay involves watching the video scenes and then occasionally making a choice to influence how the story plays out. Unfortunately this is the lowest quality FMV game I’ve played, because the story and acting are both quite poor. Despite the battle royale containing 50 competitors,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →wales interactive you have GOT to learn about the modern invention of fast forwarding scenes we've already seen. replaying for achievements is unbearable. it's like... mid. if you like WI fmvs, i'd get this one on sale. not their best.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Remember when Battle Royale was the hottest thing ever and everyone with their dollar sign eyes tried to jump in the scene before Fortnite dominated the whole genre? Pepperidge farm remembers. If I were to say, the thrill of battle royale comes from its free-for-all central theme, being forced to team up with total strangers you can't rely on and the fact that your competitors are just people like you looking for a win, not a bunch of evil men in evil black uniform. And this theme takes a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have over 24 hours on an FMV game, that must say something. I know that many reviews are not as positive as mine but I really enjoyed it. Yes its a cheesefest, but absolutely taps into the battle royale/ running man type vibes and doesn't apologise for it. I completely get that FMV games are not for everyone but if you like them then there are definitely worse ones to put in your basket (trust me I have bought some of them)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bloodshore I can’t in good faith recommend this FMV, at least not on Steam Deck it’s so buggy that I had to replay multiple times the same chapter, because the game will freeze so I have to force quit and start again. No chapter selection which is a pain since this is so buggy, and nothing really tells you when the game save since it doesn’t say when a chapter start or end. Also the skip option doesn’t work on steam Deck so you have to replay and rewatch every scene which is boring after…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was okay, terrible acting in some spots (every time for some characters) and too quick to make a decision. Some events made no sense, like sparing someone and then they just pop out of nowhere and shoot you. The story has an uncomfortable ending and it is clear that some paths of the story were second thoughts and details were really overlooked in some less chosen paths. There are some scenes that are absurdly bloody and was overkill. Definitely not worth 15 bucks.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a dumb game, like srsly how dumb. Dont buy this game, waste of money and time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →BHAHAHAHAHA loled G tier acting and story for what it is i actually liked it but i like poltergeist but this is not that good couple hours to do a play through annoying you cant skip scenes for replaying the game to get missed scenes ill have to come back to it when i can stomach it again but i did seriously enjoy it 14.99$ is steep 7/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First, I'll say that having played older games by Wales Interactive, like Late Shift, I'm very, very glad that they improved their UI for this game. The skip button and pause game on choices options are god sends for games like this. Unfortunately, the skip button only come into play during your second playthrough and it's not as helpful as it should be because you can only skip scenes that you've seen before and the game has a bad habit of considering identical scenes to be different. For…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not sure about replayability for this, yes you can go back and choose different choices but i just cant seem to sit through scenes i've already watched. especially since some scenes are long. also many inconsistencies in this game. person checks magazine on gun but yet next scene gun is empty... this is something the character should have known since they just checked their gun!!! also glock runs out of ammo but gun doesnt go into the rearward position just to create suspense in next scene just…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An FMV game about washed up celebrities/influencers taking part in a battle royale to the death was always going to be a bit cheesy, but when bought on discount, I thought it was a fun enough watch/play The reason I'm not recommending it though is because Wales Interactive almost exclusively make FMV games, it's Their Thing, yet it feels like the technical side of them never improves. I had issues skipping already watched scenes during Late Shift, which came out in like 2017, and I STILL had…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is a super fun interactive movie with a battle royale twist. You’re a contestant fighting for survival, and the story is packed with action and drama. The best part? Your choices actually matter, so you can replay it and see different outcomes. It’s not super deep, but it’s a fast-paced, exciting ride. If you like action and suspense, it is definitely worth checking out!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you are really drunk, this interactive movie thing can be pretty fun. Drop your consciousness down to that level where it seems Joe Rogan is straight-up spitting out facts. Suspend all disbelief, and it can be a pretty fun 90 minutes or so. Not sure how uncomfortable you have to make yourself to get bad outcomes. I don't know if it's because I'm spineless and a goody-two-shoes down to my marrow (especially when quick time events pop up and they're all like, "IN THE NEXT 2 SECONDS, CHOOSE…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a decent game but it definitely could be better. One thing I noticed was that their voices seem detached from the scenes as if they recorded the actors, and then later on added the dialog (IE: background hardly influences the actor's volume.) Would also be nice to have a save button or to have the ability to go back to a particular scene after making a wrong choice that affected the rest of the play through. Not a bad game, but they've done better. To anyone reading this, check out…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun Interactive movie, especially when you find out Tab key is the skip key when repeating the same scenes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cringe dialog. Poor acting. Its like no one on the island knows they are supposed to kill each other. But the worse inexcusable fault of them all. CONSTANT interruption with filler scenes that you cannot skip of idiots watching the show with popcorn or in gamer chairs. You will be in the mindset of the island and then they yank you out of it for meaningless scenes of streamers or whatever the hell watching the show. Its just bad and obvious filler content.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's no trope I hate more than "dystopian futuristic bloodsport". It's been overdone to hell, nobody is able to find a twist that's actually original and not the generic "Show that half the planet watches cause social media made everyone crazy". Real abuse by powerful people dosen't happen on prime time TV, they do it every day already. They refuse to treat our cancers and let us die to save pennies for their investors, they hire the richest man in the world in government to cut social…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bloodshore delivers an entertaining, if campy, interactive movie experience that doesn't overstay its welcome. The concept of a televised battle royale mixing streamers and death row inmates is intriguing, and the social commentary on reality TV culture and internet fame actually hits some decent marks, even if it's delivered with a heavy hand. The production values are solid for an FMV game - 8 hours of footage is impressive, and the decision tracking system helps you understand how your…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR: Terrible plot, terrible acting, maybe the worst Wales game I’ve ever played. PROS: ➕Good sale price ➕Choice pause option CONS: ➖Cringe acting ➖Obvious and forced romance ➖No scene skip/chapter select(?) ➖Poor narrative ➖Very limited choices Content (Game world/Narrative) – [2/10] The game world takes place on a heavily forested island with some basic dilapidated structures and buildings. Since this is a full-motion video (FMV) game, there isn’t really anything…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Take this with a grain of salt because maybe the FMV genre isn't for me, which is ironic because I like these "choose your own adventure" type video games. It wasn't the bad acting that deterred me, I thought it actually made things funnier. The tone was just off and certain things didn't make sense. If you're an achievement hunter though, I love how this type of game finally gives you the option to skip scenes you've already seen. It isn't perfect though because certain scenes still play…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My grade would be average. The sale price is only $1.94 Pro: Could pause choices so I could replay it while doing another activity during a scene that I already watched. Con: Could not skip scenes that I had already watched. Side note: my favorite games by Wales Interactive are Late Shift, Five Dates, and Ten Dates.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You got no save options ?? how can you replay the game when your forced to watch the same scenes over and over again?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hey there, HOPE YOURE GOOD !! listen.. 3 out of 10. A man wanted to kiss me... I had his fingers cut off. 3 out of 10 ! Entertaining for one run. You can return it after one run.. but then Gabe might cut off your fingers... OR WORSE ! (OneRunOneHour)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not great, but not terrible either. I think that's the best you could hope for in those FMV games. Goofy, cheesy, gory, and somewhat fun. Choices matter but I think only in terms of not dying and ending the game early, in which case the game rewinds you so you can make a different choice. It's mindless entertainment. Has a few likable characters and cringe-worthy ones. Beyond that, that's it I guess.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I honestly thought the acting was pretty good for the most part, especially with something of this budget. The choices, though, felt meaningless a lot of the time, and sometimes just felt like a guessing game. I'm pretty sure I got the good ending but I was still very unsatisfied.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is too short, I would say. It's a shame there's no “chapter selection/scene selection”, so you have to start all over again if you want to get other achievements on Steam. The story is quite OK. Unfortunately, it's too short. In my opinion, Dead Reset is still better than this. I've only played this (Bloodshore) for 3 hours and 2 playthroughs. I still recommend Dead Reset over this game (Bloodshore). Completed on 7 January 2026 Rating: 51 out of 100

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In a game that requires multiple playthroughs, it is impossible to skip cut scenes that you have already watched. What kind of nonsense is this? Who is interested in watching the same thing several times? That's the only reason I give it a minus, because the movie itself is not bad and is quite interesting for the first playthrough.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I stumbled upon and bought Bloodshore during the MEGA FMV sale. What an entertaining experience for my first modern FMV. The writing was cheesy, fairly good acting, and my choices had agency. Recommended
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The plot of this game makes absolutely no sense, Spoilers ahead as I explain why. TL;DR: it's like the writers changed their minds on literally every part of this game halfway through. - The titular massively popular murderous reality TV show was actually haemorrhaging viewers and money all along, for no discernable reason. - The "island" you are on (of which you see a block on hydraulic cylinders, which suggests heavy mechanical machinery under it, Hunger Games-style), is actually just some…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good enough story. Unfortunately the plot is still too rigid when making choices. During a second play through a lot of the opposite choices especially in the beginning were a waste of time and just gave negative opinion. You have to play a very specific way in order to see wildly different outcomes. For achievement farming that is especially true, even subtle differences can stand in the way. Example: for the inspiration achievement you must tell someone to mind their business instead of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Is it a bit cringey? Definitely, but it's also laughable and still entertaining! Acting really isn't that bad. Nick and Tish are like budget Robert Downey Jr and Amanda Seyfried but they both did splendid and I enjoyed it! If you get it in the bundle and/or while it 's on sale, completely worth it to kill time one evening. Easy 100% achievements in like 4.5hrs. Overall Wales Interactive did a good job with this. It's the third FMV of theirs that I've played/watch and all 3 have been fun!…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL;DR: not great by any means, just slightly fun, NOT RECOMMENDED unless HUGELY discounted or free. Only "recommending" it with thumbs up review cuz I either had it for free somehow or for a buck some years ago and forgot it existed til today. PS; acting was way too good for this plot tbh. Ok, first of all, I get these review templates don't do justice to these FMV typa games; but I couldn't find any FMV-Games template and I really didn't wanna write a proper review for this game, so I will…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bloodshore delivers an engaging and surprisingly strong story that keeps you invested throughout its interactive movie format. The characters and overall plot are well-crafted, making it enjoyable to watch. Unfortunately, the decision-making aspect falls a bit short. Choices often feel too brief or limited, and you spend more time watching than actually interacting. As a result, you click far less often than you’d expect from an interactive experience.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bloodshore, developed by Wales Interactive in collaboration with Good Gate Media, Wayout Pictures, and Posterity Entertainment, is an ambitious attempt to merge the explosive chaos of the battle royale concept with the storytelling style of an interactive movie. It unfolds as a live-action experience, blurring the line between video game and film, where the player’s decisions shape the fate of its protagonist and those caught in a deadly televised contest. Set in a near-future world obsessed…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If I knew what I'm getting into, I wouldn't have spent even the 1,92€ (it's on sale right now). I'm the kind of guy who played the FMV game "The X-Files Game" from 1998 on the PlayStation/PSOne. It was an actual game, I kid you not (you had an inventory, you influenced events and the dialogue, you decided where to move and what to do, there was even a shooting sequence and a chasing sequence for you to handle). This FMV "game" is quite a disappointment. There are some ideas they tried to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am a fan of Wales Interactive Games but not necessarily this one. It was hard to follow. The concept is promising. I don't mind the cheesy acting but it is so slow-moving and the acting is all over the place. It's hard to root for anyone. It just seems to be over the top political commentary. It is distracting more than entertaining.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can recommend the game on deep sale to people who enjoy FMV games, as scenes are not always dependent on choices, but they are also influenced by some basic stats that change over time based on decisions. +I was engaged enough to play through three times, and then I played some of the raw video files to see other scenes and endings that I didn't get to. -Other endings aside, there didn't seem to be any huge scenes that I missed after 3 play throughs, though those three evidently resulted in…
