unlabelledView post →"He's not going to be in Rush Hour 3." "You're right Chris Tucker. Because he fell to his death and we are looking down at his body and this is a blooper playing during the credits of the movie you just watched, called Rush Hour 2."

Thoughts welcome. letterboxd.com/24fpsuk/list... (PS, I noticed I left Rush Hour 2 off, an oversight, I'll rewatch the series soon(ish) and add it back)
unlabelledView post →yes, old movies can be cool, but also, yes kids in 2031 will probably not care about Rush Hour 2 or Pearl Harbor but every movie with a CGI army and giant cities is trying to be Lord of the Rings. Game of Thrones was trying to be Lord of the Rings. fucking Marvel was trying to be Lord of the Rings

unlabelledView post →Zootopia 2 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ "In buddy cop movie terms, this is one of those sequels that retells a lot of the original's most memorable jokes, only louder, while telling an entertaining, if less dynamic-servicing, story that will please fans. I guess that makes this the Rush Hour 2 of Disney movies."

unlabelledView post →4. Rush Hour 2 Damn good movie, equal footing to the first one. Two leads are still great, plenty of action to go with them. 8/10.
unlabelledView post →Watched Rush Hour 2 tonight. I haven't seen it in ages. Hilarious that this time it dawned on me that the actress that played Agent Isabella Molina, Roselyn Sánchez, also played Pilar Domingo in As the World Turns. 😍 I can honestly say that Pilar played a big role in my Queer Awakening™. 😅

unlabelledView post →The first ones that come to mind are comedies like Rush Hour and Wedding Crashers. Chris Tucker is an interesting example because from 1998 - 2007 the ONLY films he appeared in were Rush Hour 1, Rush Hour 2, and Rush Hour 3. Very smart for him to capitalize on the popularity of the first film.

unlabelledView post →Maybe there's an optimal length of time between the first and the sequel in order for it to be good? Although going and looking at a list of comedy movie sequels, I think most of the time the first sequel is generally decent. Rush Hour 2, Waynes World 2, Clerks 2, 22 Jump Street, Gremlins 2...

unlabelledView post →Is Rush Hour 2 the funniest movie of all time? Cuz every single scene is a banger lol
unlabelledView post →Rush Hour 2 (2001) Fun fact, first and only Rush Hour movie I've seen, and I liked it! First 20 or so minutes are kinda hard to watch but it gets better as the plot moves along. Of course with it being a Jackie Chan film the action and stunts are pretty damn good for an early 2000s flick.
