Rush Hour
When Hong Kong Inspector Lee is summoned to Los Angeles to investigate a kidnapping, the FBI doesn't want any outside help and assigns cocky LAPD Detective James Carter to distract Lee from the case. Not content to watch the action from the sidelines, Lee and Carter form an unlikely partnership and investigate the case themselves. From TMDB

unlabelledView post →the last Rush Hour movie came out in 2007 and had a significantly lower box office than 2, and now you're reviving it 20 years later as a personal vanity project of the unpopular President? just one more data point for "David Ellison is going to run Paramount right into the fucking ground"

unlabelledView post →It’s been obvious we’re in the dumbest timeline for a while, but we’re going to next level. The President of the United States has expended time and energy to get a new instalment of his favourite nineties film franchise, Rush Hour, a buddy cop series with Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. It worked.
unlabelledView post →There are two pieces of news that are not fully confirmed: The first, that Rush Hour 4 has reportedly been greenlight at Paramount after US President Donald Trump intervened to make the movie possible. The second, from MS Now, is that reportedly Trump is weighing removing FBI director Kash Patel.

unlabelledView post →Before there was RUSH HOUR there was 1997's DRIVE. I'll be screening the film on July 2 with stars Mark Dacascos and Kadeem Hardison and director Steve Wang in person!! Particularly excited for this one!
unlabelledView post →The world does not need more Rush Hour, directed by a man with serious accusations against him, and the last entry featured an extended cameo from Roman Polanski, who proceeded to give the leads a "hilarious" invasive cavity search. www.theguardian.com/film/2025/no...
unlabelledView post →I feel like this supposed fourth Rush Hour movie won't happen. Jackie Chan in 71. Chris Tucker is practically retired and is in the Epstein Files. Ratner got Me Too'd some time ago. Roman Polanski is 92.
unlabelledView post →Wait does Donald Trump keep going on about doing another Rush Hour movie because Ratner made the movies?? Is that why he’s insistent?
unlabelledView post →So my one question about this RUSH HOUR 4 story (aside from WHY?!?!) is what happened to New Line? How is this a Paramount movie? I mean, I get that Ellison is bootlicking Trump, but did he buy the rights already?
unlabelledView post →Trump signs executive order mandating production of a new Rush Hour film.
unlabelledView post →RUSH HOUR 4 is doomed to absolute failure in cinemas. Several hundred million dollars thrown like a fart in the wind. By the way, this kind of shameless, sycophantic, spineless management of a film studio is the worst and most shameful thing that has ever happened in Hollywood.
unlabelledView post →The funny part in the news about Paramount trying to please Trump by greenlighting RUSH HOUR 4 was when Trump also expressed his enthusiasm for BLOODSPORT - a movie I’m sure he’s watched 30 times
unlabelledView post →I can’t believed they politicized Rush Hour, my favorite film franchise. It is now tainted.

unlabelledView post →Now you get why 47 leaned on the studios to produce Rush Hour 4 and the Melania movie. One of those two is blackmailing the other, most likely..
unlabelledView post →Even if it ends up being a box-office flop, Rush Hour 4 would still be a bargain—because producing this movie is a cheap way to extract something much, much more valuable from the president. unlabelledView post →Why are you telling me to get ready for Rush Hour? That movie won't even be out for four years yet. I'm here to watch Keanu Reeves on an exploding bus.
unlabelledView post →I always thought it was weird that racist ass Trump was going to bat for a Rush Hour sequel -- a movie about a black man and an asian man teaming up together. Turns out he was just going to bat for director Brett Ratner because Ratner was a friend of Epsteins and they both liked underage girls.
unlabelledView post →Rush Hour 4, huh? Good thing coming back decades later for a fourth movie in a trilogy always works. Like Indiana Jones and the Legend of the Crystal Skull. Or The Matrix Resurrections. Or Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F. Or Ocean’s 8.

unlabelledView post →Its like the "RUSH HOUR" thing. They will probably *not* really make that movie with a basically-retired Chris Tucker and very old Jackie Chan. But they WANTED "We said 'yes!' to The President's favorite movie!" as a headline on TV because they think this is good branding right now.
unlabelledView post →Unrelated comment: The 1998 film Rush Hour is fantastic.
