positive · AI labelView post →Movie recommendation for tonight, Running Scared! Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines buddy action movie, has some great stunts, they even drive a car on the elevated railway in Chicago, and also quite a supporting cast. Unsung 80s classic in my humble opinion.
positive · AI labelView post →I watched Running Scared. That movie is 40 years old. Billy Crystal is still with us. Time flies.
neutral · AI labelView post →#SoftRockSummer2025 #MusicChallenge #YachtRock #80s #MusicSky 🎶🎧 Day 17. Sweet Freedom - Michael McDonald I barely remember the Billy Crystal/Gregory Hines movie 'Running Scared' but I've always loved this song from it. It's fun in the video when Billy & Gregory join Michael in the bar. 😀
neutral · AI labelView post →I’ve been thinking about “Running Scared” because the climax is shot at the (then newly-opened) Thompson Center … er, now Google’s future headquarters and the building is being entirely remade, so the movie is now an architectural time capsule 😭😭😭 Wrote about it here not long ago. neutral · AI labelView post →The sequence in RUNNING SCARED where Vera Farmiga takes out two pedophiles should have given the movie $100m domestic on its own.
positive · AI labelView post →UK #Pop singer #KimWilde recorded “Say You Really Want Me” for the sdtk of the 1986 buddy-cop movie RUNNING SCARED starring #BillyCrystal & #GregoryHines. The video was deemed to racy for television and required a re-edit for broadcast- it was a Starck fave #80sMusic #1980s youtu.be/g84YxV-vdmM
neutral · AI labelView post →With Trekfest occupying most of my attention over the weekend, I neglected to tip my hat toward a fondly remembered movie on the occasion of its 40th anniversary. All but lost among the crowd of 80s action and "buddy cop" films is RUNNING SCARED, which opened in theaters on June 27th, 1986.
positive · AI labelView post →You got me again, PlutoTV. Leading me to think the Running Scared you’re airing is the 1986 Billy Crystal/Gregory Hines motion picture rather than the 2006 Paul Walker film.

neutral · AI labelView post →When I was at Uni, a friend had a VCR and five (5) videocassettes, so we watched all of those *a lot*. One of those was Running Scared (1986), which is one of the best cop movies and more people should watch it. youtu.be/Qt2AyS-Zinw?...
positive · AI labelView post →Stumbling across a discussion of Running Scared, I'm reminded we as a nation stood up and said "no" to the notion of Billy Crystal as an action movie hero.
negative · AI labelView post →Wayne Kramer’s Running Scared, what a fucking great slice of totally bonkers crime cinema. Excellent all the way, and Dez and Edele might the most evil and perverse individuals in movie history! #moviesky #filmskya
positive · AI labelView post →RUNNING SCARED (1986) is one of the greatest buddy-cop movies ever made. A sequel would've ruined it.
positive · AI labelView post →It's Friday. You know what that means. A NEW episode of Stand N' Watch is available now! This week, we're taking a look at a movie whose entire premise is that New Jersey is the worst place in the world. neutral · AI labelView post →Yeah you might dating hot people but tell me have you ever unboxed a new Asus portable monitor while singing Sweet Freedom by Michael McDonald, the lead single from the 1986's Running Scared soundtrack. A film starring Gregory Hines and Billy Crystal who were both at peak attractiveness?
positive · AI labelView post →Afraid that people (understandably) think I'm talking about the Paul Walker Running Scared (2006) 😬😅 (Or as I've learned-- the considerably more entertaining film)
positive · AI labelView post →I did a “police in popular media” paper on Running Scared in college, and the big takeaway was that Crystal and Hines fired more rounds in this movie than the entire Chicago Police Department in the previous 5 years.
neutral · AI labelView post →Running Scared was a damn good movie.
positive · AI labelView post →I’ve been ostracized by several friends and family members for my overwhelming support and respect for the 1986 buddy-action movie Running Scared.
positive · AI labelView post →How better to celebrate your friend escaping a soul sucking job that refused her accommodations for her disability than a voice note singing Michael MacDonald’s song “Sweet Freedom” from the 1980s buddy cop movie Running Scared w/Billy Crystal & Gregory Hines

neutral · AI labelView post →Painfully underrated, “Running Scared” was one of the best films of 2006 and too many people slept on it. There is a scene in this film involving Vera Farmiga rescuing kids from a house that I’ll never forget as long as I watch movies.

neutral · AI labelView post →I have to admit that it was a cool background for the movie Running Scared. I also could have lived with the idea of a @capitolfax.bsky.social commenter to turn it into an indoor water park. P.S. Cap Fax RM get well soon. Veto session is around the corner.
neutral · AI labelView post →Fun movie. Paul was a good actor and showed his acting talent in, Running Scared. He’s fantastic in it.
positive · AI labelView post →That’s for a movie about the gritty side of the city with gritty main characters: like RUNNING SCARED or BEVERLY HILLS COP, maybe (two different but still very urban big city opening montages)
neutral · AI labelView post →Film you’ve watched more the six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Star Trek, Star Wars, LOTR, Marvel, Disney, or Ghibli Running Scared (1986) Billy Crystal, Gregory Hines
positive · AI labelView post →tonight's movie was "Running Scared" released on this day July 27 in 1986, starring Gregory Hines and Billy Crystal as two Chicago detectives trying to take down wannabe drug lord Jimmy Smits. Hines & Crystal are soo good of a team. Shame they didn't do another movie. But, this one is perfect.

neutral · AI labelView post →This makes me think I should get a suite at a con for other dadfolk and have a room party where we play yacht rock and talk about golf clubs and lawncare equipment and the 1986 movie Running Scared
positive · AI labelView post →Not just RUNNING SCARED (criminally underrated film), but the “Sweet Freedom” video by Michael McDonald with Gregory Hines and Billy Crystal. This is correct.
positive · AI labelView post →And yes, Exit Wounds, the Steven Seagal actioner, copied this. Then again, this movie stole the pants gag from Running Scared (1986) so eh.
neutral · AI labelView post →Right so… wasn’t that plot point also just stolen shamelessly from the movie Running Scared?
