unlabelledView post →A very fresh take on the tower defense / survivors, horror genre. There is enough depth within the game to spend over 10hours playing so for the price I think is fair.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Definitely fun and unique game if you like tower defense and/or little memory puzzles. Can recommend! The gameloop is amazing. The progress feels rewarding, and I love the art style and how you slowly uncover the story. They have a demo if you want to have an idea how the game plays. I will update my review with my findings once I've finished the game. Hint: as long as you retry a level without going back to the map first (by clicking "retry" after a fail or "restart" during a run),…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have not yet had the chance to explore everything Runeomicon has to offer, but I can tell it will be worth exploring and enjoying for quite a while. The central conceit is, essentially, a somewhat randomized, timed puzzle where you have to draw the right shape with a given set of points while beset by angry villagers trying to stop your puzzle...er, ritual from completing. The game balances tower defense, the aforementioned puzzle elements, and metagame resource management for…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool concept and design....until they go 0 to 180 with the rune complexity. Like ffs, I was looking for a casual laid back rune drawing game and after 2 levels in they went from fun to me doing calculus. Its not needed....at all. Just ripped the enjoyment out and turned it into massive nuisance to play. It would be fine, but the timer/constant assault on the gates just makes the game unreasonably high pressure in a laid back atmosphere. I can only ask "Wtf are you doing?", I was lulled into…

unlabelledView post →Very interesting game. It's not *really* a tower defense game at its core, it's a training ground for precise mouse movement and quick image recognition. But that game is surrounded by tower defense elements, that's true. Quite unusual (and fun) gameplay, plenty of content, very nice visuals. And there's even a rather interesting story in it as well. Well worth its price.

unlabelledView post →I haven't beaten the game yet, I just got past the 3rd area, but I wanted to leave a review to say that this is one of the most unique games I have played in quite a while! Its fusion of a memory/pattern recognition game with tower defense mechanics plays a lot better than it might sound on paper. I have a touch of the 'tism, so (as i understand it) recognizing patterns is a little easier for me than it might be for whoever's reading this, but the runes i have encountered so far are at worst a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's solid quality. Barring a number of clumsy typos, it's very competently done, reasonably paced, feels rewarding, and looks very pleasing to the eye. A lot of effort and care went into this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very cool. at first i was worried it wasw going to be easy, but then it started really challenging my memory. Fun and cool upgrades and unlocks
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Try the demo, it's a pretty good representation of what you'll be doing. I love this. You'll be drawing a bunch of runes from various patterns to gain resources which you use to purchase upgrades that slay or delay the constant barrage of increasingly tough enemies trying to stop you. So far there are various upgrade options you can use to defend yourself, and you can create yourself a build. The drawing gets pretty complex, and having both drawing precision ability with your mouse and…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beautiful art and atmosphere. Tons of content, I'm not even close to finishing it. Challenging unique mechanics that allow for a high skill ceiling. Surprising amount of depth and lore. Perfect pacing. Just buy it, It's a remarkably good deal for $10. The negative reviews are due to complete and total skill issue. I will say this isn't a chill game nor is it anything like a traditional tower defense, don't go into it expecting bloons tower defense gameplay.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The core loop is simple to explain and hard to put down. You draw runes by connecting patterns in real time while villagers storm your ritual trying to stop you. Every rune you finish gives you energy, and then comes the real decision: push the ritual forward, or spend that power on defenses, spells and summons to survive the next wave. What surprised me most is how satisfying it feels to get better at it. At first you're glancing down at the guide and panicking. The game introduces its…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →high intensity connect the dots
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun mix of tower defense and connecting-the-dots puzzles! I love how connecting dots to cast spells makes you feel like you're actually using magic to build up your mana, which you can then spend on towers, defenses, and upgrades. Really unique and satisfying!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Icredible game. Unique, refreshing... and full of anxiety. Haha. Really well done.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's a lot to remember and keep track of but that's part of the fun. I quite enjoyed the gameplay. Small nit picks: I wish the rooms in the lair had names or at least when something was unlocked there the name is revealed? The green and yellow is hard to differentiate when selecting shrines.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just beat the final boss, but there's more to unlock with each level and god having challenges. I had a lot of fun!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I recommend this game, but with a word of warning, this game has some very complex runes that you will be expected to draw very quickly, a trick I found just to help memorise them is to name each rune. Level 1 and 2 feel great, but level 3 is like a kick to the teeth, then just as you get the hang of one level of rune, boom the difficulty triples again, upgrades can be a bit slow to see any benefits, and there is a curse system though for the love of me I don't know what "weight defence" means…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Enough said, some beautiful sprite work (not just on the big purple lady) and really neat main gameplay loop that can be pretty challenging, especial on higher difficulties.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lovely art direction, a fun, but somewhat challenging gameplay loop of drawing increasingly complex runes as you get further along, but the upgrades help a lot and an interesting story of revenge. All in all, I highly recomend this game. On the optional god Challenges, Estiox with his mirrored runes have me genuinely confused a lot of the time, but the overall experience was quite nice.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is advertised as a tower defense of sorts. Literally the first tag. Tower defense games don't require repetitive accurate mouse patterns to complete the basic functions of the game. This game would likely serve better on an iPhone or iPad. Not PC. Refund requested.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun Game. I was enjoying almost everything about it. The things I didnt enjoyed where the time challanges at the end but the Challanges of the Gods are all in their own way interesting and challanging. Would definitely recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really engaging connect-the-dots gameplay that rewards your memory, precision and speed. If you enjoy the challenge and incentive of "Here's a pattern of dots, see if you memorized the corresponding shape to draw it quickly" you will get a lot of joy out of this game. I played on the easiest difficulty (the game unfortunately somewhat hides harder difficulties behind the main menu as a general setting) and the tower defense aspect becomes somewhat of an afterthought in the later stages. I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i had fun with it :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its an interesting Idea, but I was hoping the gameplay would be more engaging than just drawing lines. I rly love the art, setting and music, but it is far too simple of a game. Definitely not worth full price of $10.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Still in the earlier portion of the game, a very new type of tower defense, in a very positive way to me. The art style is also very pleasant in all aspects. Another positive to me, the written explanations and intro is done well in terms of saying a lot with few words. Often indie games write too much instead of let me do stuff, this game has felt good at letting the world tell me the story with light dialogue, and keeping explanations brief with more doing less reading. While also having a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun game, though drawing runes with a mouse makes my hand start cramp up after a few levels, so I can only play in short bursts. Wish I had a control scheme to draw runes in the air with my finger like an Elantrian.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game, very neat idea to be drawing runes under pressure.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A tower defense with a new mechanic that gives it a strong personality. Some runes get really hard after a certain point, but it seems like my short-term memory has improved as well hahaha
