unlabelledView post →Hayden Christensen says his favorite Star Wars film from the Original Trilogy is 'The Empire Strikes Back' 'Rogue One' is his favorite from the Disney films (via Fan Expo Chicago)
unlabelledView post →I think Rogue One has cemented it's place as my favorite star wars film.
unlabelledView post →Started a Star Wars marathon yesterday with the 8yo, working our way through the prequels and just finished Rogue One, which I haven’t watched since I finished Andor. It’s a shame it’s so good because it shows you can make a great a SW movie without a Skywalker or the force or Jar Jar.
unlabelledView post →Mark Hamill says Star Wars is “doing great without [him]” “I had my time. Now I’m just a fan. I love Rogue One, Mandalorian, Andor.” (Source: variety.com/2025/film/ne...)
unlabelledView post →Watched Rogue One again tonight and it struck me that this, along with Andor and the three original films, is the purest Star Wars. Rogue One is probably the best Star Wars film.
unlabelledView post →Because it’s fun, and because today is the day to do it, and especially because it will piss some people off, here’s my Star Wars movie top five: 1. Rogue One 2. The Last Jedi 3. A New Hope 4. The Empire Strikes Back 5. The Force Awakens
unlabelledView post →Rogue One is a fantastic film.
unlabelledView post →Last night I was looking for reviews of Rogue One from 2016 and came across a 2000 word think-piece in the Players Tribune by former Chiefs receiver (and apparent Star Wars super fan) Chris Conley www.theplayerstribune.com/articles/rog...
unlabelledView post →I recently rewatched Rogue One. Movie still slaps and we haven’t needed “rebellions are built on hope” sentiment this badly since 1776 youtu.be/UcCq3L902c0?...
unlabelledView post →Battle of Algiers and Army of Shadows was part of the Rogue One “movie camp” research phase, informing in particular the cinematic texture of the Jedha sequences. Great movies. You should check them out if you’ve not seen them.
unlabelledView post →and true to form, i had to remove screeching comments from my TEMPLE OF DOOM review (i said it was a pretty racist movie, which it is!) and from my ROGUE ONE review (it's bad)
unlabelledView post →Rogue One is the best Star Wars movie by a country mile.
unlabelledView post →Cassian Andor is clearly the protagonist of the story Rogue One wants to tell — and that was clear even before the series — but what we have instead is a movie where the ostensible “protagonist” floats through the wind taking no actions and making no real choices.
unlabelledView post →ways Rogue One is a Thanksgiving movie: - that moment when Cassian says "welcome home" to Jyn - movie inevitably leads to arguments about data storage formats (classic Thanksgiving fare) - that one problematic mocap relative (dead Peter Cushing) - Alan Tudyk
unlabelledView post →I really like Rogue One and I even kinda like Solo and I don’t like any Ron Howard movies so I think the thing is just that Star Wars is very hard to mess up but somehow they managed to do it with the mainline films and then making a sexy Jabba the Hutt and baby lizard movie
unlabelledView post →Fun fact, the only reason Tarkin looks as good as he does in Rogue One is because they were animating it off of a papier mache bust of Peter Cushing that had been made for the film Top Secret! in the 1980s
unlabelledView post →I know some of you like Rogue One but I can't imagine the shitstorm from Star Wars fans if this had come after Andor, promoted as "the film that will serve as the culmination of the acclaimed series." The hilarious shift in tone, almost everyone forgetting how to act. The grotesque CG Tarkin...
unlabelledView post →The only canonical entries in the franchise are Andor, Rogue One, and the original movie. Not the original trilogy. The original movie. Empire and RotJ are both fan fiction (tho Empire is exceptionally good fanfic).
unlabelledView post →Exhibit A for why just straight up lying to film execs and saying "this story isn't political" as the ppl behind Rogue One did with Disney execs is the way to actually get your stories told. Heck, you can even cast an explicit political radical in one of the starring roles (with his own spinoff!)
unlabelledView post →Y'know, for YEARS I had to listen to people hating on TLJ, a beautiful and thoughtful film, but at least Rogue One was a safe space, something I could love in peace. Now people are coming out of the woodwork to shit on that too. God forbid we fuckin like Star Wars and think it's Good actually.
unlabelledView post →Rogue One is the best Star Wars movie since Disney took over 11 years ago and it's not even close, it felt closer to OT Star Wars than anything else they've done. It's fantastic.
unlabelledView post →Rogue One is a mid film saved by an absolutely incredible third act. Still a top 50% Star Wars movie though
unlabelledView post →ROGUE ONE is currently trending. Today is the film’s 8th anniversary and reminds us that Rogue One is one of the most universally loved Star Wars projects (up there with The Empire Strikes Back and Revenge of the Sith). Eight years later and fans are still talking about the film.
unlabelledView post →So I finished Andor, as I said, perfection. I sorta rewatched Rogue One. Does Andor change Rogue One? Completely. But I don't feel it is a retcon, though ofc some of it is. I feel that it was the movie it was supposed to be before studio shit it up. I can't stand Jyn of Rogue One for many
unlabelledView post →Pritzker’s Star Wars list is actually pretty accurate but I’m also a sicko who thinks Rogue One is maybe the best Star Wars film, so, what do I know. (Also - justice for Solo)
unlabelledView post →Kinda funny that Rogue One is the consensus-best Star War movie of the Disney era and yet it's arguably the worst episodes of Andor apart from S2 1-3.
unlabelledView post →People are saying Mandalorian & Grogu feels like a few episodes crammed together as a movie. I think it Rogue One had come out, exactly as it is, after the Andor series, people would be saying the same thing.
unlabelledView post →Happy "Star Wars: Rogue One" day (the greatest of Star Wars films) Filmed like a 1970s WW2 film, it realised Star Wars space battles need to feel EXACTLY like WW1/WW2 naval battles. The Battle of Scarif remains one of the finest battle scenes in cinematic history. www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaAm...
unlabelledView post →what is the best Star Wars movie and why is it Rogue One?
unlabelledView post →People got mad at me for the headline “Rogue One is the first Star Wars movie to acknowledge the whole franchise is about war” because they were, like, “Um, DUH, it’s Star WARS,” and then they saw the movie and got what I meant.
unlabelledView post →Rogue One was the first Star Wars movie that concerned itself not with magic or destiny, but with ordinary and often nameless people willing to sacrifice everything for the hope of a better tomorrow Rogue One elevates the experience of watching the original, and Andor does the same for Rogue One
unlabelledView post →I will never participate in the reclamation of Rogue One, an okay movie with some strong sequences, but decidedly mid-tier. But this is pretty good overall!!
unlabelledView post →The fact they literally just scaled up the ILM ISD-I from Rogue One (windows and all) for the super weapon fleet is jaw dropping for a Star Wars film, because they've always prided themselves on making new and weird shit (to merchandise)
unlabelledView post →We highly recommend watching ROGUE ONE right after you finish ANDOR Season 2 today. You will feel like you’re watching a new movie.
unlabelledView post →One of my complaints about Rogue One is that it employs one of my least favorite movie tropes. Character A tells Character B some weak bromide at the start of the film. ("Revolutions are built on hope.") Character B parrots this weak bromide toward the end, proving that they've learned a lesson.
unlabelledView post →I've just heard of the passing of Star Wars actor Angus MacInnes. Angus played Y-Wing Pilot Jon "Dutch" Vander (Gold Leader) in the original 1977 film and 'Rogue One' in 2016 by providing voice-overs for unused footage which was re-purposed for the new film. RIP Gold Leader, the battle is won.
unlabelledView post →As has been noted, Star Wars is good when it is a different movie happening in the Star Wars universe. A New Hope is The Heroes Journey ending with the Dam Busters. Rogue One is a WW2 movie. Andor is Revolutions. Nothing is more tedious than a Star Wars movie about Star Wars.
unlabelledView post →Finished Andor so tonight’s movie is Rogue One
unlabelledView post →The fact that we almost got a Ben Solo movie starring AND developed by Adam Driver, directed by Steven Soderbergh (Ocean’s trilogy, Contagion, Traffic, Logan Lucky), and from writer Scott Z. Burns (Bourne Ultimatum, Rogue One, Side Effects)….. This movie needs to happen
unlabelledView post →As I always do this time of year, I’m watching the best Star Wars movie: Rogue One. Then might move on to an Andor re-watch.
unlabelledView post →I like Solo. I think it's the second best Disney Star Wars film after Rogue One. But it's very funny how THAT character got THAT and the "Many Bothans died to bring us this information" person got ANDOR
unlabelledView post →Best Star Wars Movie? Empire Strikes Back or Rogue One? I'm torn...
unlabelledView post →Rogue One is the best Star Wars movie outside of the original trilogy.
unlabelledView post →This makes me so happy. Rogue One is my favorite Star Wars movie.
unlabelledView post →The thing that makes me fond of Rogue One was my experience of gradually realizing, over the course of the film, how it was going to end
unlabelledView post →‘ROGUE ONE’ is currently the #1 trending film on Disney+ U.S.
unlabelledView post →After ANDOR'S incredible finale, I found myself (like many others) immediately wanting to rewatch ROGUE ONE and see how it played in the new context. My answer is both better AND worse, as if highlighting the stark difference in goals and approaches within. Enjoy! www.patreon.com/posts/129077...
unlabelledView post →Rogue One is the best Star Wars movie no contest
unlabelledView post →On Andor S2 day, here are my quick Star Wars reviews: Original Trilogy: Overall a masterpiece. Prequel Trilogy: Bad and no amount of essays (video or text) will convince me otherwise. Sequel Trilogy: Incredible waste of potential. Rogue One: Best Disney era film. Solo: Pretty good actually.
unlabelledView post →This morning I have learned apparently not everyone loved Rogue One, a movie which absolutely destroyed me in the best way. 😂🤷♀️
unlabelledView post →Rogue One is a terrible movie and I got a little bit more crazy every time someone says it's the best one.
unlabelledView post →The synthesis remains that “Rogue One is a mess and not a great movie” and “Rogue One is a very impressive rescue job on what should have been a disaster” are both true IMV
unlabelledView post →ROGUE ONE director Gareth Edwards doesn’t believe the film is the best Star Wars movie of the Disney era. “I don't agree with it, but I appreciate it. I'm very grateful that people say nice things.” (Source: www.businessinsider.com/rogue-one-ga...)
unlabelledView post →Jamelle woke up and chose violence today. Rogue One is the best Star Wars movie and I'll die on that hill.
unlabelledView post →The best Star Wars movie remains Rogue One.
unlabelledView post →Is ROGUE ONE the best Star Wars movie since Disney acquired Lucasfilm?
unlabelledView post →They denied Rogue One the iconic running text at the beginning of the movie because they didn't want to associate the movie with the classic films... but Rogue One, along with Andor, is one of the best things Star Wars has to offer. Oh the irony.
unlabelledView post →let me tell you going from andor to Rogue One is a real cold shower, don’t do it. Just let your memory of rogue one replace the actual movie
unlabelledView post →And since the story of Andor can also be considered a nine-film saga (8 x story arcs + Rogue One), it also ends with one of the best space battles ever. 😁 The best of borth worlds!
