The objective is simple: you need to get a ball from A to B, overcoming obstacles. You can do so by doing the bare minimum and finish every level with a lot of trial and error, or you can be careful, trying to collect all tokens and die less than five times to gain achievements and unlock ball styles. The game also offers more modes, most notable Rush, where you have to finish a level…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →RATING: 8/10 CONCLUSION: Road to Ballhalla is a great, simple marble maze game with an awesome soundtrack, clean crisp visuals and a lot of challenge & variety. It's worth the full price if this is your type of game, with easily 15+ hours of content. Anyway... This is such a little gem! Playing this you can tell a lot of love went into making it. I ran into no bugs or issues, and felt challenged from the start to towards the end. I could also see myself quite noticeably getting better as…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a surprisingly great game. Got this on Humble Bundle low tier as another game I had never heard of. Easily my favourite from the whole bundle. The high points for me are the excellent level design, sleek minimalist UI and general artstyle, and the difficulty disparity between a fun playthrough and 100% completion. I love tough games and this game manages to stay fair when difficulty spikes. Can't recommend this game enough.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is actually quite fun, considering it's just a modern evolution of the old wooden ball in a cup game. Get your ball into a hole, take it out again, and put it into another hole! Pay attention to the music though. And don't run over the red tiles. Or the blue tiles. And watch out for the lasers! Oh, and don't forget to pay attention to the music. :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →World 2 isn't even done, and they've introduced invisible floors and camera flips to disorient and confuse your movements. I should've seen the "comedy" as a clue, most of the jokes are just death traps or time wastes, and it really shows how they hate the player. That's kinda accurate to old game design, but yea, this is a hate-hate relationship back at you developers. As the review numbers will detail, this is bundle fodder, polished but unremarkable. Achievement stats show how quickly…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Road to Ballhalla is like a modern-techno Kula World with a GLaDOS-esque game overlord who toys with you. It's pretty enjoyable if you like ball games. Also if you don't know what Kula World is you better educate youself. Get some culture you ignorant swine.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Road to Ballhalla is a simple ball game in which you need to guide a ball through various obstacles to get to the hole at the end of the level. Pros: -Game is simplistic, yet challenging. Easy to go through each level and pass the game, but for the completionist it provides a challenging experience that is greatly enjoyable -You are guided by on-screen text, that provides satirical and humorous dialogue at times -Graphics are appealing and not distracting, neon feel to it great -Great…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very fun game. Short and entertaining. Had no bugs or any issues. This is a must buy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A genuine hidden gem that never received the recognition it deserved. It's challenging but never completely unfair. Your skills build as you play and what was once scary, or even looked impossible, becomes very doable. The secrets are fun extra challenges, though a bit too obscure to find and some require a guide if you want to get them all. Give it a go!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very nice ball rolling game with good humor.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looks amazing. Quite a bit of potential. However, it is punishing in ways that are not fun for me. There are probably those who would enjoy this difficulty. For example you must get a certain number of points to progress. However, as a more casual player I would have rather just progressed through the levels as long as i had passed all previous levels. The designer forces you to complete levels again to obtain more points. However many of these levels are tedious to get though. It would have…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Road to Ballhalla is a cheeky, occasionally cruel but ultimately satisfying experience, that I would highly recommend to anyone with a taste for arcade-style platformers and puzzle games. I say this having completed 100% of the game's achievements. Aesthetically, with regards to its delightfully colourful design and well-suited, unintrusive yet engaging soundtrack, I can't really fault Road to Ballhalla. The puzzles are all very much based upon rhythm and visual patterns, meaning that the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Expected a Marble Madness knockoff. Got a clever, top-down rhythmic platformer with a new gameplay wrinkle thrown into each level.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In Road to Ballhalla you play as a ball, trying to live through obstacle courses, trying to reach Ballhalla. Annoyance was something that permeated my playthrough of Road to Ballhalla. The devs apparently realized the game they made did not have enough variety to be enjoyable. They did introduce variety, but the way they did this was gimmicks. Particular levels have specific gimmicks, like randomly jumping, a ball that keeps falling from the sky to crush you, weird perspective shifts, a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the ball rolling game I've been dreaming of. Ball rollers are usually more miss than hit but the allure of the simple concept makes me try most despite the futility. But, finally, all my efforts culminated on the Road to Ballhalla! Controls are nuanced and tight. The campaign is a little short and sweet but timed challenges, "b-roll" bonus levels, and even a secret or two kept me entertained for nearly 10hrs. The difficulty picks up steadily throughout but also of note is the variety…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rarely do i get to say that an incredibly simple game with seemingly no place for a story to be developed is well written. And I do not mean coded. But that too, I guess. I don't really know much about coding... Sorry, that got away from me. Anyway, 10/10 would die for Ballhalla again.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game and great humor! We world needs more game like this one!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, i had a blast playing it, difficulty was great too, not too easy and not too hard (: (2487)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is my kind of game, but unfortunately every 5-15 minutes it just freezes in the middle of a level, where only the music continues to play, and nothing else can be done except killing the game through Task Manager. EDIT: well the problem seemed to exist on the discussion forums for years, but looks like the devs fixed it now.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have no idea how this game got in my library, but I sure am happy I gave it a try. The goal and mechanics are simple, but the level design is excellent.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a console ported 3D rendered minimalist 2D action/puzzle game where you roll a ball over various minimalist/neon themed obstacle courses. Lazy minimalist graphics were used as a substitute for doing the work required to produce contemporary PC graphics, this shouldn't be too surprising coming from a console game. PC gamers will be insulted fairly quickly by the console peasant childrens toy gamepad prompts. This isn't the best of the rolling ball puzzle/action games on Steam, and…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, frustrating and hard at times, interesting, great mechanics and design
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Frogger-like gameplay in which you move around a 2d gridded world. You are a ball with momentum and not constrained to the grid. In-game text is jokey, taunting, and occasionally deceptive, but in my opinion not funny, and the gameplay is nothing special at all. It feels more like a mobile game that should be free with ads between levels, or a minigame you unlock on a fictional game console you find in a bigger game, not a PC game that costs money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its pretty fun game actually, not worth $15 though not even sure where I got it from. Does work with steam play though so my Linux bros its alright for cheaps.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Road to Ballhalla is a cool little puzzle game. It's akin to the old Marble Madness game, only mostly on a flat plane. You need to navigate a ball through bullets, lasers, deadly timed floor and other hazards with simple controls consisting only of d-pad or stick and a dash button, your objective to gather up orbs from the field without wandering into the hazards. The game contains several hubs with multiple levels and sometimes bonus challenges. Each level consist of multiple rooms, each of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Enjoyable little game. Visually it is pleasing, sounds help you time certain deadly events and the humor makes it bearable to die. It basically screams "don't take things to seriously and just enjoy the ride" It is sometimes hard but so far never really "slit your wrists and throw your controller away" hard.... Or are you supposed to throw the controller first? :/ For maximum fun play it an evening when you have others over. Laughs garanteed.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, where's the point one thinks they wouldn't recommend a game? I've played a fair number of games in the genre, some I've completed but the majority I haven't for probably one of two reasons. It's dragging on for too long, or some mechanic is just unbearable for me. I've dropped Ballhalla after around 90 minutes because of the latter. The aesthetic, the control scheme, the checkpoints, the levels and their level features (lasers, obstacles, et cetera), the jokes, and the fact things work…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Road to Ballhalla surprised me by how wonderful it is. I didn't expect much sue to its the grid-based gameplay, rude narrator trope, and cheesy puns. Gameplay-wise, it never grows dull. The basic quest is concise, often introducing new mechanics whose potentials are used rather well. It's quite challenging but never unfair. I'm not the type to torture myself by striving for extremely difficult 100% completions, so I'll let that go, happy enough with the regular endgame. The writing here is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic game with a great dev and community. It gets hard, but the challenge always felt fair. Fantastic game to kill some time and have fun while doing so.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Road to Balhalla is in its core a marble controlling game mixed with rhythm elements as well as platforming. It also features having a very unique flavour due to its over the top humor and minimalistic yet compelling art design. For the most important part though, the game is challenging without being frustrating and due to the rhythm also enables the player to get into quite a nice little flow. Content wise it has a good dozen hours of content as well as a time trial mode and several secret…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game understands what makes this genre excellent.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →WOW! Not what i spected. The creativity of these guys, clap! clap! clap! Super enterteining rithm ball roller game. Great humor, has funny moments. Nice story, well evolved throw out the game level by level at increasing difficulty. Must say, if you like ballroller games this is it. Joystick is a must. And a never ending fun with all the workshop levels and level editor to make you own paths. Just perfect!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This falls into a group of games that I like to call "The King's Speech Crew". Named after the film The King's Speech, which is a very enjoyable film, but if you try to explain it to someone as "It's a movie about a guy who doesn't know how to speak well, learning to speak well", you're met with blank stares and incredulous eyebrow raises. Road to Ballhalla is a game where you're a ball, and you're trying to make it into a hole. Yeah. There's much more to the game, but that's essentially…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It deserves more visibility. Funny, creative, frustrating and relaxing at the same time. 9/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros: - Great music - Fun gameplay - Nice graphics - Quirky developer messages Cons: - Not enough levels, maybe add more in the future? Overall: 9/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A game with "just a rolling ball" that completely knocks out EVERY SINGLE super-duper-fancy-ultra-Triple A game of EVERY existing genre. Smart, Fun, Intuitive, Trolling dev (I hate you), simply what a Game with big balls (ha-ha) should have (maybe except the troll dev...maybe!). 100/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Road to Ballhalla generally features simple patterns to bound through with most of the challenge coming from gimmicks and traps. As someone who doesn't have the patience for memorization and prefers to play by instinct, I was quite satisfied with the game's level design. The trailers for the game seem to focus more on the game's irreverent humour, but the gameplay is solid enough to stand on its own with the comedy being a bonus. Road to Ballhalla has a wide variety of gimmicks including both…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It would be a sin not to positively review this game now that I found out it's not widely known. It's possibly the most refined rhythm/platformer I've played in the recent years. It serves it's purpose perfectly.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun game with some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ moments that makes me not wanna recommend.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love Balls. This game's full of Balls. Balls that go a lot of places and handle very well. They're a lot of fun to play with.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite awesome music game. Starts slow and easy, but soon you find yourself enjoying all sorts of rythms and complicated labyrinths! Competitive people will enjoy timed levels, which makes this game much more serious and difficult when you start to compare your finish times with others. All in all, there is something for casual and for more action driven players :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Perfect, love it With the developer would make more games like this
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun and challenging.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really great game. + graphics + soundtracks and sounds + humour + sometimes challenging controls - saves are not clouded, or at least my wasn't
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a great reimagining of the old labrynth ball game. definitely worth checking out :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun and quite challenging, but not too challenging to the point where you get overly frustrated and throw your controller at the wall. The sarcasm and humour throughout make the game more enjoyable than your standard level-based arcade game, and the game is a good length meaning you feel a good sense of accomplishment at the end, before you end up tired of it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't even remember where i got this game. My review is: Eh... Buy it if it's on sale. Not worth 15 bucks.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →THIS GAME IS EVIL INCARNATE Honestly, I don't know if I want to see the mind behind this game become rich, or die a very painful death. That is the level of evil they reached. I love this game. Buy it, trust me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome until about the fifteenth level. Then it's too frustrating to be enjoyable anymore.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute relaxing game with a great soundtrack and rhythm based gameplay. Well done Torched Hill.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unplayable. Flash of green background. Operating System: Win10 CPU: Xeon E3-1225 v5 GPU: GTX970
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can simple rolling a ball game be interesting? Road to Ballhalla proves it can not only be interesting, entertaining but also... not so simple. There are 20 levels in this game. Not much, as it seems. The aim of them all is to roll through them until reaching a hole in the end. There are orbs to collect in the meantime. And there are deadly traps and obstacles everywhere. You stay too long on red. Die. You accelerate on red. Die. You hit blue. Die Etc. Etc. Many levels require to feel a music…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really, really liked this game. It's hard, but not too hard (until you get to the more challenging (but optional) challenges, then it gets crazy hard). Music is awesome, and the game made me LOL several times. I hope the developer will make more games like this. (would watch "Road to Ballhalla: The movie" ;) )
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My ears and eyes say it's great, but my fingers are unsure.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ballhalla is more than I expected it to be. The game is simplistic in theory, yet challenging and engaging in execution. It begins very easily, allowing you grasp the basics at a pace that I found to be exactly right. There are text instructions which guide you along the way, peppered with playful commentary from the developers. This kept the frustration of repetitive trials at bay as I made my attempts to both learn, and develop proficieny at getting the ball in the hole - trust me, it's not…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The pics can't tell you, how smooth the actual gameplay is. The design is great, the sarcastic messages (like a tutorial) made me laugh really loud :) The physics feels really realistic, so I give it 10/10!
