unlabelledView post →Did you know Shadow of the Colossus was heavily used in the film ‘Reign Over Me’? The game is shown as escapism for Adam Sandler’s character to help him deal with the trauma after he loses his family in 9/11 One of the greatest representations of Video Games in film 🎬🎮
unlabelledView post →every Team Ico Forums user knows about "Reign Over Me", a film in which adam sandler's character becomes obsessed playing with shadow of the colossus after 9/11
unlabelledView post →Time for a movie with my wife! Tonight's randomly selected movie is... Reign Over Me, 2007
unlabelledView post →Reign Over Me. I'll keep pushing this movie forever
unlabelledView post →Reign Over Me Dramatic movie, not comedy. Sandler was brilliant.
unlabelledView post →I appreciate the movie I think it was Reign Over Me with Adam Sandler who looked like he actually was playing Shadow of the Colossus and that it did tie pretty well with the theme of the movie (Grief over losing a loved one)
unlabelledView post →If you want a great 9/11 film Just go watch Reign Over Me Adam Sandler at his best in terms of acting playing off an equally great Don Cheadle
unlabelledView post →What's wild is, my wife and I have been watching theough Adam's filmography, and we have watched like 30 movies, and still have like 30 more. It's crazy. Reign Over Me, watch that if you havent. My favorite Sandler movie so far.
unlabelledView post →when I was taking a class on theories of counselling, I had to watch a movie and write a paper on it. the movie I picked was Reign Over Me. it's about a guy who withdraws from the world after something terrible happens; he refuses to grapple with the big existential concerns of life.
unlabelledView post →The movie Reign Over Me was the first movie I've ever seen him do a serious role. I was amazed. Great movie
unlabelledView post →Day 17/365: Reign Over Me. Adam Sandler is more than just a comedy actor, every serious movie I've seen him in, he performs every time. Beautiful movie. #movies #letterboxd
unlabelledView post →The only movie I've seen that HASN'T fucked up portrayal of vidya in some way was "Reign Over Me (2007)". Not only does it show Shadow of the Colossus being properly played, it is THEMATICALLY RELEVANT to the overarching story.
unlabelledView post →I’m going to watch Reign Over Me with my wife instead since we’ve watched a 9/11 movie to mark the occasion since we moved in. Can’t blame them though. I’m not much a fan of the triangulation approach
unlabelledView post →This was the impetus for that Adam Sandler movie Reign Over Me after 9/11.
unlabelledView post →“Reign Over Me” is an exceptionally odd movie.
unlabelledView post →@kanaratron.bsky.social I can’t DM for some reason 😩 You seen the film: Reign Over Me ? Currently on Netflix (Adam Sandler)
unlabelledView post →May not be the popular opinion but, Adam's Sandlers best movie is Reign Over Me.
unlabelledView post →Reign Over Me. "A serious movie, with Adam Sandler? Ayfkm?" But he did it, and did it well, and in support of your point, not many people know about it.
unlabelledView post →I’m not an Adam Sandler fan - but I did see him in a serious role, a beautiful little film called Reign Over Me, co-starring Don Cheadle. Haven’t been able to forget it, or Sandler’s performance - haunting
unlabelledView post →Oh man, he bugs me as well but Punch Drunk Love is a fantastic movie and I have a soft spot for his performance in Reign Over Me.
unlabelledView post →I don't remember i watched it so long i didn't even knew Audrey Plaza was in it. I think i liked it, it's more in the drama than your usual Apatow movie. Personally i would recommend to watch Reign Over Me. .. But that's so many clues to the movie here
unlabelledView post →I’ll see your “Uncut Gems” (which is great) and raise you “Reign Over Me”. Incredible movie but was so impressed by Adam Sandler’s role in this one. Complete opposite of what he’s known for.
unlabelledView post →I love that movie! I also really Reign Over Me …… i just watched it yesterday…..
unlabelledView post →So if you're game for a serious role, I remember watching "Reign Over Me" many years ago and being impressed by it. Do we take 20-something me's movie recommendation seriously? I don't know. 😆 But I will at least stand by being impressed by his range in that movie.
unlabelledView post →It's the most cruise has ever cruised, exactly. Reminds me of Sandler getting notices in Reign Over Me but the movie is Don Cheadle doing Tom Cruise from Rain Man, just kills it. Same page.
unlabelledView post →You ever see Reign Over Me? Adam Sandler in his auteur era film about a person trying to grapple with his grief and survivor guilt over losing his whole family in 9/11, part of which was done by playing a whole lot of Shadow of Colossus.
unlabelledView post →The really striking thing for someone who doesn't live in New York and isn't even American is that you don't initially realize what this film is about, even though you watched 9-11 as it happened on the TV. When I saw this several years ago for the first time, I found it really very moving and the more the film progressed, the more you really began to empathise with the deep trauma that had happened on an individual and a citywide level. I shall watch it again this evening (9/11/2026) and leave…

unlabelledView post →30. Shadow of the Colossus. Super fond memories of it. But also I can't think of it without thinking of Adam Sandler's Reign Over Me, which is his best non-comedy movie. Just good stuff, little guy vs big guy
unlabelledView post →need a Reign Over Me type of movie where the main character is obsessed with an absolute dogshit game that nobody likes
unlabelledView post →Dentist “Alan” (Don Cheadle) has built up a decent practice, is happily married with two children and he even has the Volvo. Outwardly content, he is finding things are starting to overwhelm him a bit - especially when patient “Angela” (Liv Tyler) asks for some extra veneer on her veneer! Travelling home one afternoon he espies the headphone-wearing “Charlie” (Adam Sandler) who he recalls he shared a flat with years ago at college. What he doesn’t know is that 9/11 impacted very profoundly on…
neutral · AI labelView post →Only blemish I can think of for Sandler in serious roles is Reign Over Me but that movie is just a depressing slog so
unlabelledView post →Pausing my constant horror movie binging to watch everything else for awhile. Finally watching Uncut Gems. Dramatic Adam Sandler is my favorite Adam Sandler. Also Reign Over Me is underrated.

unlabelledView post →REIGN OVER ME (2007 dir. mike binder, usa) i enjoyed it when it was don cheadle x adam sandler hurt comfort yaoi but the movie got gradually less interesting as it went on and became a courtroom drama. people REALLY overstated how much of a role "shadow of the colossus" plays in this.
