Hell in 1988 alone he appeared in SUNSET, RED HEAT, THEY LIVE, and ALIEN NATION. That's one year! He was EVERYWHERE for 30yrs of his career. Everywhere!
unlabelledView post →The Podbyrin 9.2mm is a fictional handgun made for 1988's buddy cop movie "Red Heat" featuring Schwarzenegger as a Soviet cop. The director wanted a gun that looks like a bigger Walther P38 that would look great in Arnold's hands. It's a converted blank firing .357 Desert Eagle.

unlabelledView post →Ray Dennis Steckler's "Red Heat" (1975) is on Cultpix. While shooting an X-rated film in Las Vegas the main actress is scorned by her lover and starts a murder spree. Fascinating to see what Las Vegas looked like in the mid 1970s. #Cultpix
unlabelledView post →That Walter Hill's 1980s action movies Red Heat and Extreme Prejudice are set in the same cinematic universe, linked by the man in the white suit (Lupo, played by Luis Contreras) at the end of each film. Oh, and that the first series of Bergerac was cobbled together from unused Shoestring scripts.
unlabelledView post →I was watching the just ok Schwarzenegger movie Red Heat with a friend and they actually did translate the Russian in the subtitles! Turns out they wrote a bunch of jokes in Russian for that movie, I am sure 90% of the people who have watched it never knew they were in there! More of this please!

To be honest, I dunno if all of these were kid appropriate.🧡🚀📚 #books 🎬 I remember being disappointed by the character development in the movie of Red Heat :D

unlabelledView post →Red Heat This movie kinda wants to say profound things but it chickens out every time it tries. So it's kinda just a generic buddy cop movie. Weirdly devoid of humor, which is like the main thing everyone likes about buddy cop movies.
unlabelledView post →Watching a popular film I've not seen every day in 2026. 108. Red Heat (Walter Hill 1988) Arnie does his Arnie thing but with a dodgy Russian accent. Jim Belushi is a git. The Gina Gershon character doesn't make sense. Flat comedy. Too many scriptwriters spoil the plot. 6/10

unlabelledView post →Movie 2: Red Heat (1988) Schwarzenegger throwing guys around at the start and the car chase at the end are fun action scenes, but everything in between is pretty weak. Another miss, idk how this one got on my watchlist I haven't seen many 80s action films but it has to get better than this, right?

(The remake? Disposable.) For that & everything else that you go with as the house movie programmer, enjoy, and happy viewing!

unlabelledView post →I haven’t seen this. I need to. For some reason I get Red Heat mixed up with the movie Real Men. Real Men has Belushi and John Ritter. I think the plot involved aliens…? IDK They both have similar names, Jim Belushi, and came out around the same time.

But if you said “Red Heat is terrible” I’d say “it sure is, but I still love it. Remember Arnold’s “Russian” accent? Lol”
unlabelledView post →Reminds me that Luis Contreras, who plays Lupo in Walter Hill's Extreme Prejudice - he's the man who gets to wear the white suit after drug kingpin Powers Boothe's Cash Bailey is killed - cameos as Lupo in the climax of Hill's later Red Heat (setting it in the same movie universe).
unlabelledView post →He at least went back to some straight up action flicks with EXTREME PREJUDICE and RED HEAT in-between. And I do have an affinity for his blues oriented road trip movie CROSSROADS. #FlicksForAll
unlabelledView post →Uh, "Red Heat" was an action movie with Schwarzenegger and Belushi 2. CHAINED Heat had Linda Blair in it, except that Sylvia Kristin wasn't in it, on account of that's not a person, they mean the first Emannuelle, and it was Sybil Danning.
unlabelledView post →uncertain but probably Red Heat (1988, dir Walter Hill) or maybe it was Alien (1979, dir Ridley Scott) Either way, I watched it on VHS lol My town didn't have a movie theatre btwn 1981 & 1995, and I was 4 when Alien first dropped

unlabelledView post →Other than one unfortunate plot beat, RED HEAT is s Gell of movie! More neo-noir than action spectacle that keeps story and character concerns at the forefront and a cadre of excellent actors...including a young LARRY Fishbourne! A really great performance from Swatzenegger...one of his finest.
unlabelledView post →RED HEAT (1985) is a very good movie. A smart and artful action comedy. Walter Hill is a HELL of a director! Arnold is also very good in this...it is a never hard needle to thread, playing someone driven by emotion who does not show any emotion. Emoting without emoting.
unlabelledView post →Ocean Software for one (and they may have made the original of this) had a habit of buying movie rights in the script stage for cheap. Sometimes you'd get Red Heat, sometimes you'd get Robocop.

unlabelledView post →Red Heat shows that in 1988 you could have an action movie with just one action scene.
unlabelledView post →Watching Red Heat. I had an issue with subtitles not appearing and at first I was like this a bold artistic choice. I have a specific memory of this film from when I was a teenager that I want to test.
