Recon Control is a hardcore turn-based strategy game. The special thing is, that the battlefield works like a 2D platformer. You command up to four soldiers mission after mission to gain control points which let you unlock the final mission. There are three operations (campaigns) with 25 different missions in total. Equipment There are dozens of weapons, armor,…

Turn-based squad-level tactical combat. Very challenging, with a hardcore nature. Stand-alone operations or campaign linked missions. 4x branch skill customisation. Authentic weapons and inventory. Operator permadeath on higher difficulties. Fixed, cramped battlefields with few dynamic elements. Made to be replayed. Progress is reset between…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really, really wanted to like this game, but its just a meh to me. The main gist of this is its supposed to be a 4 man special forces team that inserts on some bad guys place and clears them out. This is a puzzle about how to get your team in, drop the bad guys and get out with everyone. My problems with this game is that there is no tutorial, there is no manual, and the design isn't intuitive when you are playing to completely figure out what is going on. Each of your characters has so…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's evident that this game is a continuation of the development team's previous work, Renegades, which is a flash game I played on a website several years ago. However, I must express my disappointment, as I find this game less enjoyable than its predecessor. I quite like the mysterious atmosphere pervading in Renegades -- What happened in this city? Why are there zombies? And against whom, for what purpose, are our heroes launching their assault? These mysteries remain unanswered in the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game design not good. 1. There isn't any game design that is really interesting. 2. And then the current design also has problem. Cover is just that some tile has a plain 50% cover bonus. Yup, plain cover bonus, it doesn't even matter which angle you shoot or what. Pistol variety? Just get the silenced pistol, like always. It is silenced, and has longer optimal range. No reason to get other pistol at all. Also, enemy can see behind. So there is no way to sneak pass enemy unless there is a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tactical Step-by-step shooter. The main feature, which is the whole essence of the game, is 2D graphic - reminds me my childhood, those games, flashbacks)) So - here are big variety. Maps, missions (25 missions, 3 campaigns), tasks, developers did a really good job. Moreover, there are many types of guns, armor, equipment, different items. It is a very important point which I figure out while playing any game, coz when developers of each game don't respect the player, their users: they create…

On its store page, there is an odd claim that this is a hybrid of strategy and platformer, but I can’t imagine how this could possibly be considered a platformer aside from literally having some platforms in the game. Regardless,…

Buy EQ to help through 25 missions and 3 campaigns. Looks simple, but challenging. [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/35180752-3-point-play/] Follow our curator for similar games
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really enjoyable game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you liked XCOM, you might enjoy Recon Control. You mobilise specialised units to take control over the enemy territories to launch a raid at the end of the operation. Each unit can be skilled differently, and if you give them the right skill set, you could unlock a hidden skill.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3/10 not enough ap - everything costs ap. movement, reload, changing weapon, using items. - cant shoot a person right in front of you with a gun need to melee would keep writing more for review, but not enough ap
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A surprisingly deep and brutally tactical challenge that is filled with tense and meaningful decisions when played on Ironman Mode. This is a must play for fans of XCOM style tactical combat.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Back then as a kid, I had a hard time playing this game, but now a AdulTeen, I enjoy this game so much! B)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Boring game play, and frustrating mechanics. I love turn based, but this was a no for me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Keep looking i enjoyed this game for the few first hours but after awhile it just gets aggravating. Enemies take way too many shots, a mac10 being OP against and H&k mp5 from long range is ridiculous, and where is all the gold?? Cant buy anything good because its all locked behind gold bar currency which is not rewarded enough to equip your troops. I generally enjoy these games but this just felt like an aggravating mobile game after awhile and i just cant recommend this, ill try to complete…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →if you dont like tactics and strategies this game isnt for you.Otherwise i recomand this game, would like to see a multiplayer mode,i have infinite ideas as how cool it would be,awesome nonetheless
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An awesome combination of turn-based tactical gameplay and side scroller maps! If you are a fan of either XCOM, Jagged Alliance, Silent Storm, or Door Kickers, you should give it a try! Not every part of it is perfect, but it's THE turn-based tactical game you are looking for!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is a great game and this game remind me my childhood i used to play games like this and i'm happy to have this game great work grabthegames:)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →irritating luck based mechanics. The combat feels centered around lategame which makes early game feel very irritating, dont buy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice little game, with simple, yet well-thought mechanics, relatively easy rules, yet quite challenging. Single gameplay (mission) may be as "long" as 3-5 minutes, but in way similar to roguelikes the same mission may be repeated 20 times before finishing it, constantly improving tactics and reducing small mistakes (just to make some new one). Recon Control is a 2D, side-view approach to top-down view tactical turn based games. It is relatively fresh solution, and brings new feel to expanding…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun and addicting game love it! Super hard and frustrating at times tho.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is great tactical gem. Familiar gameplay of a tactical turn based combat with standard classes (sniper, heavy, shotgun, rifle), but everything is done just right. Visuals, variety, enemies, abilities, items - all is very good. Although the game is not long, this is a ton of fun as a more simple but very polished approach while you are waiting for a big title.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have just installed this game and enjoying this a lot. It is so interesting that I am playing this again and again. The main thing which attracts me is the missions in it, I have to always make new strategies to win this game. It refreshes my mind and keeps me active. Hope you all try this and start liking it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun game! It really does feel like you have to think before taking actions
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's one of the best games I've played recently. Especially from platformers.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sup ma boyzzz. Tday i played this tactical shooter. The gameplay is a battle on various maps. You are provided with fighters and they need to go through all missions. Everything is pretty standard, movement and combat spend action points. they need to be calculated what went to me. Our warriors are quite fragile, several hits on them lead to untimely death, so you need to play very carefully. For completed tasks, fighters are awarded the appropriate number of development points, which we spend…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ngl i respect what the game stands for in and of itself. Personally i was looking for a renegades 2. I guess this is the closest thing to it. It feels weird. Yes this game can be enjoyable but not for me. i came looking for gold and found silver. Still good but not what i wanted in my heart.

Developed by Dmitry Kozlov, the game shows how an indie production can deliver strategic depth, intelligent challenges, and an immersive military atmosphere. 🔹 Gameplay and Mechanics The strongest aspect of "Recon Control" lies in its gameplay. Players take command…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →All the Bad reviews say the gold unlocking stuff locks all the guns, but it doesnt. You just have to unlock the weapon skill to be able to buy the starter version of the weapon type, after that the weapons just get silencers or increased damage. The Controls really are hard to learn but after an hour or two you will understand them. And when you understand the game and have some different weapons unlocked, its a really fun and Hardcore Turn based Tactics game with low system requirements. Its…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really good game of turn based!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it feels like a flash game called renegades and maybe even x com. quite fun recommend it. The game gets a lot harder when you get into the second map(cold blooded) and even harder on the 3rd map your only option is to play stealth i give it a 8/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun turn based small group tactics games. Love the graphics and the sound as well. Very hard to beat.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →dont try to stealth in this game, bs ai will follow you in groups of 2-3 people if you didnt kill them in a single turn even if you are cloaked and they are supposed to not know your position, overall pretty fun until you get 120 damaged from shotgun half map away
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ts is so buns brother the worst thing in this game is the gambling thing like im standing next to the guy and misses a headshot like is my guys braindead or smth? WHY CANT U HIT HIM HES NEXT TO UR FACE JST PULL THE DAMN TRIGGER
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Review of Recon Control, a flawed tactics game that struggles under the weight of a few major issues, yet still provides at least a modicum of enjoyment for genre fans. www.mmmreviews.com/recon-contro...
unlabelledView post →Boring to play, annoying to figure out anything without some sort of tutorial, the UI is not the best. Also, add RNG to that so you're not sure if you're attacking right.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Despite their simplicity, the combat mechanics work very well and make for some exciting battles; if this game had a complex and rich strategic management element, it would be absolutely brilliant. It’s still a good game, though, if you’re into tactical mission-based games. And watching your men die.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was fun! Will play more later
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A total hidden gem. This is a very good turn-based tactical game with a 2D platformer style. You can build a team of four soldiers for each operation, buy weapons and armor, and assign skills to them. The variety of skills and equipment is not huge, but it’s still enough to create a team that fits your playstyle. At times, the game can feel frustrating when enemies one-shot your units, but that’s part of the genre. One wrong move can cost you the entire mission, so you’ll need to get used to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →pretty cool so far, playing gives me a kinda steamworld heist vibe, we will see after a couple hours
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When recon control 2? Ive played this game trought with different ways, including playing marathon but only using one troop for the duration in iron man mode ofc
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty good at what it is, but its missing the features that made renegades what it was, that being said there's a lot that this game does right with the customization and tactical sandbox. What the game is really missing is the soul that was present in renegades that's hard to get from heavy RNG elements.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I did not expect this level of fun/challenging from a 2d tactics game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →takes a little getting used to. I can't put this game down.

unlabelledView post →First time I saw this game I thought it was an action platformer; I was happy to see it's a turn-based. Very cool design.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly I hate turn based games, but this is PERFECT. No pay to win, each level could be completed without weapons if you're patient and clever enough. Buy it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice game but too hard

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're a fan of games like XCOM and Mutant Zero where the combat is turn-based then you'll enjoy this game. I'm writing this in 2022 to bring attention to the new DLC the developer released a few days ago. The DLC is FREE. The DLC adds a new set of challenging missions for you to go through, this time facing off against 2 factions. The game gives you options on some missions: You can go in guns blazing or sneak around stealthily taking down enemies with melee skills Weapon variety is also…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Solid game but can at times be very punishing. Think of it like XCOM hardmode or darksouls if it was turn based. IF you are ok getting your face kicked in several times only to finally expertly destroy the mission and get that dopamine you'll love this game. In depth skill system, 6 different types of weapons (AR, Shotgun, Sniper, SMG, LMG, Melee). Stealth system. Plenty of skills to customize play style. Destroyable walls / Doors (in certain areas) allowing you access to areas to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a pretty entertaining strategy game that, at times difficult, but allows you to have fun, the dev is a straightforward no bullsh♥♥ guy, hes in a rock and a hard place right now and i wish all the best for him, i appreciate all the work hes done and im glad he managed to create a genuienly entertaining game such as this, the only pet peeve i have is that the game might be a bit too difficult and strategies have to get really specific at times, but other than that its a great game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great tactical gameplay. i didnt expect this much depth from a game that looks pretty simple
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Recon Control is an excellent turn-based tactics game that combines rogue-like/lite game progression with 2D platform-style battlefields and very satisfying combat system. It's not too complex but it's also not simplistic. Players have to assemble teams, equip them and deploy them to solve and defeat each level. A good bit of trial-and-error will be required to defeat the tough levels as you look for the best way to approach each battlefield using your particular style of play. Stealth is very…
