The harmless title didn't prepare me for one of the scariest and creepiest cinematic experiences I have ever had! Directed by Jaume Balagueró & Paco Plaza! PURE HORROR 💀
unlabelledView post →The cream of the crop of found footage horror flicks. [REC] transcends the inherent gimmicky-ness of the format and masterfully uses it to create a terrifyingly plausible experience. Rewatching the film, I found myself thinking, "Yup, this is exactly what an outbreak of zombie-ism would look like."
unlabelledView post →Last year I spent all of October at The Reveal watching horror movies I'd never seen before and writing about them. I wasn't able to do that this year, so I binged all four [REC] movies plus the American [REC] remake QUARANTINE and its sequel:

unlabelledView post →Picking a random film from my collection to show off for no real reason! Day #239 "[🔴REC]" (Paco Plaza and Jaume Balagueró/2007) An excellent found footage film. One of my favorite examples of the sub-genre. Here it is in the boxed set with all 4 films in the series. Check it out.
unlabelledView post →i like cregger’s a lot but [REC] is still the best resident evil movie
unlabelledView post →Finally rounding out the [REC] films with [REC]4 Apocalypse (2014) 🎬 It’ll be great to return to the original storyline 😌 #horrormovies #filmsky
unlabelledView post →[rec] is such a solid zombie found footage movie, it builds up perfectly
unlabelledView post →Time to rewatch my favorite found footage film [🔴REC]
unlabelledView post →Damn good movie. Thanks #FrightClub! Tomorrow night we begin a REC-pocalypse. [REC] and [REC] 2 Friday, then [REC] 3 and [REC] 4 Saturday!
unlabelledView post →Gifen är från Quarentine (2008) om någon undrar. En rätt bra film, en remake av [REC] som är spansktalande (också bra).
unlabelledView post →Sounds like I'm the lucky one in here that I have no idea who it is So just googled...and the happy couple look like the twins in The Shining all grown up Or,and most of you won't get this reference I feel...the individual in the attic at the end of a Spanish horror movie called [REC]
unlabelledView post →"The film is so good, I had to pause it halfway through to take a walk and make pesto." That's what I sent a fellow horror friend about the movie Leviticus (2026). I haven't felt this kind of dread and worry since like, [REC] or Talk to Me. I fucking love it.
unlabelledView post →Good morning - [Rec] is such a good movie!!
unlabelledView post →seconding [REC] big time honestly i think if there is One zombie movie i would recommend it would be that
unlabelledView post →The first [REC] film is such an underrated gem!
unlabelledView post →3) [.REC] (2007) Somehow I’d never seen this before? I didn’t even realize it was a Spanish movie. Normally I’m not into found footage horror, but this one was pretty good. Some plot points I would have liked to explore more, but that’s the trouble with found footage.
unlabelledView post →We're looking to Spain for the next #ScaryMovieMonth pick with [REC] (2007). Time for some subtitled found footage fun.
unlabelledView post →Which actually isn’t saying much bc The Caretaker has been aggressively mid at best and eye roll inducing at worse so how about a better comparison: I’m more tense about this last quarter of Lover Enthroned than I was during my first watch of [REC] (aka the best horror movie ever made)
unlabelledView post →I just watched [REC] and I thought that it was great! A simple yet effective found footage horror film that actually freaked me out a couple of times. It had me on the edge of my seat through just about the entire runtime. The last ten minutes were legitimately terrifying to me!
unlabelledView post →342. [REC] (2007 Movie) Didn't expect to get so into this as I did, really good use of found footage and the unfiltered sound design of this was something I really really dug. It definitely made you feel immersed. The creature at the end was really well made too.

unlabelledView post →Most people know [REC] and nothing else. The series actually runs four films deep and each one deliberately shifts genre. [REC] 2 turns the found footage format into a theological nightmare. [REC] 3: Genesis abandons the format entirely mid-film. [REC] 4: Apocalypse closes the story on a moving ship

When they are called to an emergency, they accompany the crews but upon arrival the find themselves subject to a terrifying lock-in as the raging fire proves not to be their most imminent danger. It seems that there is also something afoot that is hungry, and that hunger breeds more hunger... It's filmed from the perspective of the camera and…
neutral · AI labelView post →REC is zombie horror brilliance! REC is one of the best found-footage and zombie movies ever made. The panic, chaos, and terror that grows and spreads through a small apartment building as residents fall one by one to a zombie plague is overwhelmingly suspenseful and believable. REC starts slow but exponentially builds into a bloodcurdling frenzy with horrified characters frantically struggling to survive. This low-budget horror film belongs in the hall of fame for creativity and genius in the…
