60 of 183 · most liked firstAfter 12.5 hours with Ragnorium I’m throwing in the towel. This game is rough. Period. However, it has this crazy 70’s b-movie science fiction thing going on. Like if Ice Piret’s had a love affair with Rimworld. Looking at it from a tongue-in-cheek point of view, it’s a charming game. So don’t take it entirely too seriously when it comes to piles of colonist poop turning into super poo flies. Not to mention the oddly shaped and googly eyed critters that wonder the map looking like stuffed…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This looks like it would really be my kind of game. But it has one of the most obtuse and confusing UI's I've ever seen. There are windows on windows which you can't move out of the way or even close without closing all the windows at once. It's very difficult to try to figure out what you're doing. Sometimes you can right click something and you'll get a menu of actions - right click the same thing two seconds later and you don't. There's no feedback on anything, did you actually click on…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Abandoned. Dev is no longer working on the game and has actively ceased development, the latest news post at the time of writing was called a post-mortem. Despite the development of the game having ceased and the game not being finished, the developer is still charging money for the dead game. Do not give them a cent.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Developer has good ideas but abandons games before completing them, did the same thing with another game they made called pixel piracy will probably do it with their upcoming game :(
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun base building game held back by some serious problems. Recommended to fans of the genre who are looking for something new and can tolerate some flaws, other folks should probably look for something more polished. The Good - Building system is simple but effective. - I like the aesthetic - Dropping pods from orbit is a fun entry mechanic - The world feels well populated with stuff to investigate - Objectives give you goals to pursue in small chunks - Lots of customization and control over…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game had such amazing potential.Shame the dev decided to release it unfinished and then ditch it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I kept coming back to this game to see how far it's come, and all my latest attempts have been disappointing. Then I checked what was going on in the game's news and updates and found that the developer has thrown in the towel with this game and abandoned it midway. I don't earn much and I try to be very careful about what games I buy, so imagine my disappointment when I found out I spent money on this for nothing due to a shady developer who doesn't care about people's money and abandoned his…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Abandoned in early access. Do not buy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The developer abandoned the project, don't be fooled by the released state, the game is nowhere close to be completed. If i could ask a refund i would.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Abandonware. game is def not worth it. so many bugs. great concept failed execution. This dev has even gone all the way to change his name on steam. HE IS NOT WORTH INVESTING IN.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I went ahead and refunded the game as the game definitely needs to be polished further. Stone requires mining capsule to mine and in the discussions it says you can purchase it via menu but I hit level 3 and never saw any options for mining capsule. The developer also appears to revel in the game being unnecessary difficult, but not difficult from a skill standpoint, but from a "where is this in the menu" standpoint, which is unnecessarily "difficult" and quite unintuitive. I loved the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even though I'm desperate for decent sci-fi city and colony management games; I wish I had knew the dev for this was the dev that abandoned and killed Pixel Piracy too, otherwise I never would have bought it. There's probably enough here to enjoy but not for this price-point. Also noticing a disturbing trend of fecal mechanics in this dev's games. ♥♥♥♥ in, ♥♥♥♥ out.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A unique colony builder, for sure. I've played a lot of Rimworld and this game probably has a steeper difficulty curve (if you play on standard mode WITH events). I haven't progressed very far because of this, but the mechanics are there, and working. Some things were a little iffy like your colonist AI, I have not played the 1.0 version yet, i hope some of the "bad decisions" are fixed. It is a unique world. Reminds me of Kenshi. These 2 names drops aren't really comparable, but in the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had potential but that's gone to waste now because development was abandoned. This is the second abandoned game by this developer. Stay away from it,it's dead and it's in beta stage at best.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Abandoned. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else. There are some cool ideas and concepts but it is too buggy and there is no "end game". Now they have the audacity to post advertisements for a new game that they are going to demo "because they have been burned by EA games too" When posting a question about the new game and referencing Ragnorium as unfinished and buggy, I was banned by the developer. Based on this developers behavior and past games, don't waste your hard earned money…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →was hoping to see what this game would become... but then i saw the stupid dev's bearded face streaming and happily playing another game "that new 2d side scroll orc shoota game" then came here to see that yep hes written a thanks for all the fish but see ya and runs off with something else .. so this is now "abandoned ware" apart from hardcore "fan bois" bug fixes he may or may not ever get around to fix but whatever dude... you burnt my EA gratitude took my money spent it on beard grooming…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Abandoned by dev. Would never had gotten it if I knew the Dev has a habit of dropping projects before moving on.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Abandonware. Too buggy , feels unfinished in ways more than one and yet released. Not worth the price at all. Buying not recommended unless it is showing over 90% discount. A shame, game had the potential of becoming much better.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I gave this one a bit more time, as it has some cool ideas. However, at the moment, the implementation is just SO JANK that I cannot recommend this. Go play more Rimworld :) Poorly-paginated menus (took me 2 hours to realize I could make shoes), jank UI in general, time-based progression mechanics with no way to speed up time (apparently you unlock it later? but that's after a notable un-skippable un-acceleratable research period every single game). It's just... not good. I'd refund if I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Oh god, the art style in this game is harsh. I adjusted every setting I could find and still no solution. It feels like I should be wearing those red and blue 3d glasses, but I'm not. I couldn't take it anymore.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dead game that had potential but was subsequently dropped by it's team. Don't buy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just go get Rimworld.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I only recommend this game if you can tolerate the UI and graphics. Its almost like the UI designer had been brought straight from EVE Online, there are menus on menus on menus, everything is small as hell(even when the UI is at its largest), unnecessarily broken up or tucked in folders, half the time you open a menu, click on a pawn, or back out of a menu, the screen will flash black or white. And the UI is EVERYWHERE. Its like i'm playing f*cking everquest. Objective tabs that you can't…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had potential but was eventually dropped by the dev at some point. It is overcomplicated in how you control and do things, so generally speaking UI is no good and that part was never fixed. This is Strike 2 at this point, the previous project Pixel Piracy was also dropped half way and never finished even though again the game had potential. I don't believe unless it's F2P that one should spend money on upcoming at some point Pixel Piracy 2 at this point. This here is a pattern.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The developer has stopped working on this game, claiming he knows it's a 6.5/10 game. I believe that's a very generous assessment. The gameplay is rather clunky, and the tutorials are not as helpful as they should be. It needs a lot more polish to be playable. I tried playing earlier in development, and both then and now I made it about an hour in before getting too bored and frustrated to continue. Here are some examples of how frustrating it was: the game tells you fairly quickly that you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Being able to keep track of your resources, tasks and workers is absolutely vital in a game like this. Ragnorium fails at these things miserably. The UI is clunky, confusing and unintuitive. Even something as simple as keeping track of, prioritizing and cancelling tasks is stupidly difficult. This would kill the game for me even if the colonists didn't need to be watched carefully every moment to make sure they're doing something useful.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Picked this up as a fan of colony sims and I liked how the take sounded. Unfortunately, there isn't a lot I can say about it as I wasn't really able to play it due to some awkward graphic design choices in the main menu and game itself. Namely, excessive use of full screen flashing each time you click on something while navigating the main menu and setup for your run. It is important to note here that my eyes are damaged in a way that makes them highly sensitive to bright light, and full…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I haven't gotten very far in the game, haven't played it recently. The time I have spent playing i can see they certainly have a good game here, but; that isn't why i'm writing this review. I am writing this review simply because Ragnorium is by far the most updated game i've ever owned. the dev team or whoever is responsible for the constant updates, it's truly impressive and refreshing to see them care so much about this project. A+ in my books.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I remember when I first got this game during its early access and I loved the whole concept, even if it was rough around the edges, I just had to stop playing it because my laptop could barely run it. Once I got a better PC, I decided to fire it up again and I was disappointed to see a lot of changes that made the starting and subsequent experience more tedious and overly-complicated than I remembered. Also a lot of the other reviews claim that this game has been abandoned and I guess I'll…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really want to like it, but it's like Rimworld without any sense of the level of difficulty being balanced. Mis-click the wrong objective and you sign up for certain death. Don't mis-click the wrong objective and a bunch of much stronger people show up and wipe out your colony in seconds. Whatever you do it seems you are doomed to fail. Even doing the simplest tasks takes forever. Looks cool, shame about the gameplay. Thanks to the developer for the reply, that's nice to get. I played on…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Abandoned, also bad.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really want to embrace this game, as the developer is clearly very passionate about their baby. Evidently, however, said developer is an alien living in an isolation chamber. I can't think of another explanation for this interface which is, simply put, utterly revolting. The controls are so awful that it's downright impressive. I seriously don't understand how you can design something so unintuitive when using an engine such as Unity. It's beautiful.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game showed so much promise; however, it is incomplete and the developer said to-da-loo.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Conceptually this is an interesting game. In terms of execution it's unfortunately quite bad. The UI is genuinely terrible. To the point that I don't know how the dev even managed to playtest this game. Considering the number of bugs, it's likely that they don't want to deal with the hassle that is trying to play this game. Speaking of the dev, this would be their second half-finished release that turned out to be a buggy mess. The first one, Pixel Piracy, was promptly abandoned and I don't…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I strongly recommend not buying this game, I've put in over 50+hrs to be able to say that. It's incredibly disappointing. As far as I know it's been abandoned/discontinued and this game isn't close enough to being complete. I wanted to give the game a good try, give it a chance to win me over, but it almost did but then utterly failed. The first experience with the game will have you rage quitting almost immediately. Second, third and fourth time too. The game is very difficult and your…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was challenging and an interesting take on a colony management survival game. However, the most important thing to keep in mind is that this game has been ABANDONED by the developer. It seems the developer has abandoned other games before they are complete. I would recommend avoiding this game as well as all past and future titles from Vitali Kirpu.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →k so ive played Ragnorium for about 70 hrs now! and i LOVE this game, sure its got some bugs and some obviously unfinished bits but thats why its pre mode=) not sure what it is about this game but i absolutely love it, honestly i thinks it s a better version of rimworld, rimworlds great but it takes so frikin long to figure out all the addons you want than to load them and figure out why they arent working and yada yada yada, it can literally take FOREVER to actually play the dumb game,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yeah no this game is really bad, it need allot of balancing done. Its just to hard to do anything, once a enemy is chasing you there is no way to survive and its a gameover. The resources you can find is very limited, only thing you will get allot of is wood. Even tho there is water a fishing spot, you can not interact with it because game logic. The enemies in this game will all join forces to kill you, so far the worst enemy i have seen is the super fly. Once this creature spawned near my…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's a really cool game idea here, but it's missing some QOL love and features. Development has stopped. Don't buy full price at this point
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Probability of buying Early Access games in future: -5% Modifier
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →***UPDATE*** - This game has been abandoned by the dev. He used this as a learning tool and cash grab, and plainly admitted this. ***UPDATE*** I wanted to love this game. I really did. It gives off some serious Kenshi vibes. Says it's open world. Quirky art. But man - it's just pure jank. Dev at the beginning was incredibly active. If someone had a request or came up with a new feature, the dev usually listened, and there would a patch within a few days. Then he just ghosted everyone. I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is mostly abandoned and what little is there isn't worth your money. Read the latest dev updates and if you still go ahead and buy it make sure you set a timer so you can refund with < 2 hours.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the game, I love the idea of the game, I love the setting of the game, I love a lot of the concepts of the game. If the (solo) dev had worked with a team, or sold the game to a studio, or kept up support, I believe it could've been great. The vestiges of greatness are there, but it's clear the game still needs a lot of love to even become a cult classic. It breaks my heart, but that's I can't recommend it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had potential, now abandoned by Dev. Do not buy in current state.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just play Rimworld instead
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun game, but I can't recommend. In short, this game is not finished. There are elements that lead to nowhere, and limited progression capabilities. It's solo dev and the dev is regularly patching, so things may change. It should still be in early access. Gameplay: Struggle to find resources and avoid/fight enemies on a large and mysterious planet. Balance team size against resource restrictions and slowly grow your colony to a small squadron of rabbit-killing machines. Truly, it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Seems like a nice interesting lore behind this game, as well as the world. It is really challenging and hard, but really worth the play. Although I think this may deserve a recommended review due to its regular update and fixes. However, you may wanna hold this game for a bit as this game still needs serious optimization. As well as some existing bugs and needs better path-finding and better prioritization on task. Although, the bugs I have experienced were: - Colonist taking random damage…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After 26 hours, just a no from me. Everything is a chore, the overall slowness of the game, the AI, the unintuitive GUI. Any progression at all just doesn't for me feel fun, I get constantly near the edge for survival games is a thing, but this far too far. 8 hours in and unless you save your save folder elsewhere, you do a mission, half way through that mission occasionally time will change or god forbid you're about to combat something and it moves into a time zone and saves the position,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I hate that it has Mixed reviews. The game is so unique and fun. It might be hard at first but then it clicks after couple of games. The music is great. The game needs coop option to play with friends. I like the UI style and could be better with some improvements. A 9/10 for sure. I wish you luck Vitali.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Before you buy this game, you must understand what kind of game this is and look at the art style to see if it appeals to you. Those two things seem like the biggest issues in negative reviews. I would personally recommend this game. I like the art style, it's different and cartoon like while having a lot of cool detail to it. I would agree, there still is issues. I myself haven't encountered a lot of bugs yet but the issues the dev is able to see and fix is usually done pretty quick. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game concept had a lot of promise, and I believe they are trying really hard to get where they want it to be. However the game controls are not intuitive, and inconsistent with any other game you may have played. The overlays often appear, shifted out of view, depending on where you happen to be looking when you click to get a context menu and the steps required to get from, "I've just landed" to "I at least can survive the first hour of gameplay." are not extremely straight forward.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Still in early access There are weekly updates that add options or change aspects of the gameplay while there are still black screen crashes every 1-2 in-game days. Just check back in 3 months.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can see a "market" for this game, but I found it visually unappealing and... better not talk about the sound departments... About the rest, it's good for an indie-one man production, but I don't really understand why Devolver Digital decided to support and publish this! It's surely not worth is price, I will say you can spare 5$ to try it in the future, during a sale.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfinished EA plague
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked it for a while, though the game does not explain much of how things are done so you have to learn with trial and error over multiple new starts. Though I cannot reccomend getting the game. Dev has thrown in the towel and "might" come back to it. Not worth the 24.50 I spent on it
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →cool idea but the dev unfortunately decide to abandon the project, I do not recommend to buy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Plays like an early beta. A pretty bad look for Devolver.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Abandonware. What's there is "okay", but there are tons of far better games of this type you can play. The UI still feels early access, tons of quality of life features are missing, and it's ultimately pretty shallow.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfinished and abandoned.
