unlabelledView post →Queen of the Damned isn’t a good movie and has a terrible Lestat, but. Aaliyah is in it.
unlabelledView post →Tubi has suggested I watch QUEEN OF THE DAMNED I have many questions, which this movie is not interested in answering Very impressed by the scene where Lestat appears in his old house and goes "OooEEEoooEEoooOOeee" and the band is like "HE HAS THE VOICE OF AN ANGEL 😍😭😍" (because it scared the cat)

unlabelledView post →SINNERS bests Queen of the Damned as a vampire/music movie, and probably passes From Dusk Till Dawn in the “Vampires overtake a crime movie I was invested in.” The Ryan Coogler machine works. Let him make whatever he wants.
unlabelledView post →Queen of the Damned (2002) - an amazing soundtrack attached to a mediocre movie. In 2002, if you had asked me who my favorite bands were I would've said Linkin Park, Static-X, Orgy, Korn, and Disturbed. So finding out there was a movie soundtrack where Jonathan Davis of Korn wrote a bunch of songs about vampires and got the lead singers of Linkin Park, Static-X, Orgy, and Disturbed to sing those songs? I was ecstatic. I loved everything about it. And Marilyn Manson was there too... that's…
unlabelledView post →somehow, i don’t know how, my wife got it in her had that we had both seen Queen of the Damned together, even though i have never seen that movie, but when i tell her that i have never seen that movie, she gets MAD—real mad!—because she believes that i have seen it but just won’t admit it
unlabelledView post →The only movie I’ve ever went to and not finished was the Aaliyah Queen of the Damned joint and it’s 100% because my father took me and the movie was too sexy.
unlabelledView post →For my BSG book, I'm watching some stuff as research, and I wouldn't call Queen of the Damned a good film but it was entertainingly cheeseball in a very late 90s / early aughts way. Friends rewatch in progress and there's of course some real YIKES but when it was on its A-game, just absolutely slaps

unlabelledView post →*Queen of the Damned* was an abysmal movie with a surpassing solid soundtrack with some of the biggest names in music at the time collaborating. Jonathan Davis of Korn wrote half the songs and sang in the movie, but his record contract stated that he couldn't appear on an album put out by another label, so the solution was to bring in guest artists to sing instead. Chester Bennington from Linkin Park, Wayne Static from Static-X, David Draiman from Disturbed, and Jay Gordon from Orgy. If you…

unlabelledView post →I am sorry, but if you shitting on Akasha from the Queen of the Damned movie? You can't be trusted. I love Sheila Atim and I am excited to see her take on it. Aailayh was the best thing about that movie and I will not take any slander. #InterviewWithAVampire

unlabelledView post →The Aaliyah would outdo Beyoncé if she was still alive is always gonna fall flat because they both existed in their realms of entertainment at the same time and Aaliyah was also in her own lane as she was venturing off into the film industry too. (Romeo Must Die, Queen of the Damned, The Matrix)

unlabelledView post →going to start scoring movies on how many goth songs are on the soundtrack, which means Showgirls (1995) is more of a goth movie than Queen of the Damned (2002)
unlabelledView post →If I'm not mistaken, this is the opening to Interview with the Vampire, which was turned into a movie with Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. The name Lestat was also used in the film Queen of the Damned for the main vampire protagonist IIRC.

unlabelledView post →I once had a running gag with a woman I knew so that whenever they got up from a movie to get snacks or use the restroom I would very quickly change it to the Korn-fueled concert from Queen of the Damned, which is the most 90s thing ever filmed. So whenever she hit play again? This happened.
unlabelledView post →I can't believe we can now definitively say that the movie Queen of the Damned adapted something better than AMC because of the stupid Talamasca show.
unlabelledView post →whenever I see someone call the vampire Lestat show music "bad" I kind of want to yell the lyrics are terrible for the most part that is intentional I think but the music is pretty dang great for a fictional band within a show? do y'all REMEMBER Queen of the Damned the movie? hmmmmm?

unlabelledView post →The ‘90s comics visualized the Vampire Lestat’s Halloween night concert perfectly. The Queen of the Damned movie totally made it look lame and cheapo CW looking, but judging from everything I’ve seen, the TV series will have the glam rock vibe of the comics.

unlabelledView post →Queen of the Damned- If you can believe it, I watched this *before* Interview with the Vampire. Few contrasts have ever been as stark. A true mess of a movie. Baffling pacing, straight-washed to death with two romantic leads with the least amount of chemistry every on film, and still Aliyah shines.
unlabelledView post →The Queen of the Damned soundtrack was better than the film.
unlabelledView post →LRT- Listen, I can't think of Queen of the Damned without thinking of the Aaliyah movie (RIP) and while the movie was just alright, that soundtrack....holy shit that soundtrack. If you dated a goth girl in the 2000's and that soundtrack came on buckle up cause it's your birthday
unlabelledView post →Continuing with the music theme, I finally watched QUEEN OF THE DAMNED (2002). It's best remembered as Aaliyah's last movie (and she's very good in it), but really it's Stuart Townsend starring in the story of nu metal pioneer The Vampire Lestat.

unlabelledView post →Interview with the Vampire- Watching this after Queen of the Damned is certainly funny. A story so compelling that it really feels like it's straining against the confines of the movie format. Tom Cruise seems like he is having the time of his life. Kirsten Dunst delivers an all-timer performance.

unlabelledView post →Just a few more weeks until we get to see Sheila Atim & Sam Reid reinterpret Akasha & Lestat in #TheVampireLestat. In the meantime, having a bittersweet rewatch of Queen of the Damned. Seeing Aaliyah in this role was a canon event for me. May she RIP. 🕊️ #IWTV youtu.be/kdDH7Ynw5Lc

unlabelledView post →The Vampire Lestat was an amazing season of television. Those last two episodes were so fucking wonderful. I’ve never read the Vampire Chronicles, so I’m excited to see what The Queen of the Damned is actually about vs what I saw in the 2002 movie where they jammed two 500+ page novels into 90min

unlabelledView post →Just thought of another answer. Queen of the Damned movie. Wore out the CD back in the early 00s. Had some pretty damn big names doing songs for the OST, Kidney Thieves: Before I'm Dead is still something I listen to on occasion to this day. Might be a bit of nostalgia and bias in this answer though.

unlabelledView post →Movie 100%, I'm a big fan of her books, read the Vampire Chronicles multiple times over the years. Interview With The Vampire movie was very well done, she even wrote the screen play for it. The show is okay, but it changes quite a bit which I don't mind so much usually, but some of it that got changed was very vital to the story. So IMO, the movie is far better then the show, the show is enjoyable though. Whatever you do though, don't ever watch Queen of the Damned, it's absolutely…
unlabelledView post →It's just a short cameo, but it's the set-up for the next season, which follows on per the chronicle book series written by Anne Rice (some of my fav novels!), which will be: The Queen of The Damned. Can't wait! I'm also old enough to remember when Aaliyah played the role in the 2002 film.
