unlabelledView post →PSYCHO II was released on this day in 1983 Starring Anthony Perkins and Meg Tilly, it’s pretty impressive that this movie came out 23 years after the original and is still a solid sequel. #horror #filmsky
unlabelledView post →If you wanna get into the new Psycho movie, you should watch these first: - Psycho (1998) - Psycho II (1983) - Psycho III (1986) - Psycho IV: The Beginning (1990) - Bates Motel (TV series) (2013-2017) You can skip the original Psycho, it is old and difficult to watch. I never watched it. Trust me.
unlabelledView post →Such thrill to host writer/director Tom Holland and screen PSYCHO II, a sequel so extraordinarily ahead of its time and a film that, as anyone who knows me can attest, I never shut up about. Tom was a delight and shared amazing anecdotes. And what a joy to finally see it on the big screen!

Picks up 20 years after the events of the first movie. If you have not seen this one then I highly recommend you check it out!

This movie was made 23 years after the first one! But friends, I’m here, humbled before you and god alike to say: it’s got the juice.

unlabelledView post →#nw Psycho II (1983) a movie that didn’t need a sequel got one of the best sequels ever made. I love this film. “after 22 years of psychiatric care, Norman Bates attempts to return to a life of solitude, but the specters of his crimes - and his mother - continue to haunt him.” #horrorsky #horror 📽️

unlabelledView post →Psycho II is such a good film. If you've not watched it due to an assumption that it's just another crappy horror sequel trying to cash in, I urge you to give it a shot.
unlabelledView post →Watched CLOAK & DAGGER (1984) for the first time, written b Tom Holland and directed by Richard Franklin...who had previously worked on PSYCHO II together! An utterly CHARMING movie! Franklin basically makes an 80s kid's adventure version of NORTH BY NORTHWEST meets HARVEY, and it's WONDERFUL!

unlabelledView post →I just did a complete rewatch of BATES MOTEL (happy to say it still owns), so I decided to finally sit down with PSYCHO II. Everybody is right, this movie is wonderful. It’s kind of an anti-slasher, where you desperately hope that no one actually gets killed.

unlabelledView post →I'll give this movie a ton of credit, but I do have to take the moment to say how much I love Perkins in not only the original, but Psycho II as well (don't remember III well enough) #FThisMovieFest

unlabelledView post →48. PSYCHO II Since I'm celebrating Tom Holland I really must shine a light on the flick that really made people notice. This film should not be this good. It's that simple. It has no RIGHT being this good; it never did. More than any other legacy sequel, in my opinion. It starts with Tom's script.

There are plenty of people who won't forgive how this film begins, and it doesn't have many redeemable qualities. With the exception of Mila Kunis. Movie 002/100 #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days #MutantFam

It opened the same day as WarGames and Psycho II; as the month went on Trading Places, Superman III, Octopussy, Porky's II, and the Twilight Zone movie entered the fray. #FlicksForAll

unlabelledView post →Incoming hot take on cold culture: Psycho II is one of the best movies of the early-80s slasher boom and the only reason it isn’t treated as such is because it commits the sin of not being Hitchcock’s Psycho, the best psychological horror film of all time.

I had not heard of the Hitchcock film before the sequel came out. I saw the original years later and it became one of my favorite movies of all time.

unlabelledView post →Was unaware there was a Psycho IV, the last one made with Anthony Perkins. It was a tv movie for Showtime in 1990 and basically ignores Psycho II and III, and even tho it very much feels like a TV movie it's probably the most fucked up of all of them. It's actually good, in fact.
