Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
Captain Jack Sparrow’s got a blood debt to pay: he owes his soul to the legendary Davy Jones, ghastly Ruler of the Ocean Depths. To escape eternal servitude aboard the Flying Dutchman, ever-crafty Jack must track down the still-beating heart of Jones. But he won’t do it alone: Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann are drawn back into another one of his perilous quests—assuming they can evade execution for aiding a pirate. From TMDB

Pretty much only exists because of Jared Leto funding it C. Is directed by the same guy who did the worst Pirates of the Caribbean movie Ill just listen to NIN's OST, thanks

Cage is also pretty accurate, he is really good when the role fits his style, otherwise he is so cringe. His acting in Pig is incredible. Depp is IMO super overrated. He was really good in Fear and Loathing, Donnie Brasco or Edward Scissorhands, but since Pirates of the Caribbean he mostly played some variations of Jack Sparrow. Sandler is actually a fucking good actor, but he always chooses the lazy way…

unlabelledView post →Really sucks Depp turned out to be horrible because that first Pirates of the Caribbean movie went ultra hard on every metric
unlabelledView post →This is just movies period. Its the time old "Well, Cutthroat Island bombed so audiences must just hate Pirate movies----oh huh Pirates of the Caribbean made a LOT of money???" situation. Its always just a bad movie, not a bad genre.

unlabelledView post →Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006) Peak. They pick up from the fairly self-contained first film and build into a new trilogy so effortlessly. Action, direction, sets, and music continue to be some of the best. So glad I could get Jordan's reaction to my favorite ending to a film.
unlabelledView post →I'm just going to say it! Whenever I'm watching a Pirates of the Caribbean movie, I'm rooting for Barbossa the whole time. Doesn't matter which movie.
unlabelledView post →It's a real shame Johnny Depp turned out to be a complete monster, Geoffrey Rush a handsy asshole, and Keira Knightley took a job on Harry Potter (and is being kind of a dick about it), because the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie is a pretty perfect piece of cinematic entertainment.
unlabelledView post →The first Pirates of the Caribbean film, but only the first of them, managed to successfully navigate the pirates ranging from villainous to anti-heroic while retaining audience sympathy and interest. I'm not even angry at them for failing to pull this off again, I think it's just legit difficult.

unlabelledView post →Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007) Closes out the trilogy perfectly. Its everything I want out of a Pirate film. Constantly swapping positions, betrayals, schemes and an incredible final battle. Also the most satisfying and romantic closer. Gore Verbinski was God during this time.

unlabelledView post →Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003) Still holds up tremendously and reminds me this is my favorite film trilogy since this isn't even my favorite one. Immaculate sets, score that syncs with action, and the performances are killer. We also checked out the Behind the Scenes
unlabelledView post →The more interesting tidbit is that this is actually pretty common. The prop house using real skeletons was actually pretty common and not unique to this production. The notable thing about this film was the sheer number of skeletons that they used, so they basically scooped up everything that was out there, and how much the live actors actually interacted with the skeletons. It wasn't particularly unusual for skeletons to be used as props. Really, just about any time you saw a skeleton on…

unlabelledView post →Pirates of the Caribbean in Disneyland also used medical skeletons. It wasn't that long ago that they were really easy to purchase, a couple instructors at my university had full skeletons and would bring them in for class. I wanted to buy one just to keep in my closet as a joke, but beer came first.

unlabelledView post →Netflix’s “The Sea Beast” has to be an underrated animated film that some how slipped through the cracks as it invokes a lot of what the older Dreamworks movies did. If that doesn’t sell you it’s like How To Train Your Dragon and Pirates of the Caribbean had a baby.

unlabelledView post →I never saw this film (which I have in common with most of the world's population) but it feels like a relic of a bygone age, rather than thirteen years ago. The amount of money Disney spent on this, clearly convinced it would be the next Pirates Of The Caribbean. There was tie-in Lego!

I’ll bite: how about the fact that frontman Josh Homme’s ex-wife Brody Dalle testified in court that he head-butted her so hard that she “saw stars” and said he had fantasised about killing her? Or that he kicked a female photographer in the face? It’s certainly not what anyone’s talking about as part of Homme’s friendly neighbourhood rock star image rehabilitation: duetting on…
