unlabelledView post →Finally watched Perfect Blue and oh, man! That movie is a masterpiece. I'm slowly watching everything that Satoshi Kon did and is already one of my favourite anime directors.
unlabelledView post →When people ask what my favourite movies are, I rarely say Perfect Blue, mostly because I'm afraid it will be an invitation for them to start nerding out over anime, but this movie really is a damn near perfect psychological thriller that stands with the very best of DePalma and Hitchcock.

An amazing thriller film that uses the medium so well, really messes with your head and keeps you guessing. Fascinating exploration of fame, mental illness and parasocial relationships. 10/10 imo

unlabelledView post →Perfect Blue is an incredible movie but unfortunately the English dub came out in 1999 when I was 15 years old and in my “I’ll watch anything animated from Japan” phase. Perfect Blue is not a movie for 15 year olds. Perfect Blue scared me a lot and not in a fun way.
