This leads to bloated decks where your chance of getting a decent combo decreases as you unlock more of the deck as there will always be a much higher quantity of lower quality cards available for use, as the powerful cards are the rares and super rares etc. This could be eliminated by allowing the player to create a deck before versing a stage, however instead the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Imagine if you will, a ridiculously large pool of cards and relics divided into 5 very diverse pools, with interesting multiple hp pool (three characters, but all using the same deck) and turn order mechanics layered in. The good: -I have completed many runs, and very few times have I had the same deck, or even the same archetypal deck. They have done a really great job of building a huge library of interesting and mechanically engaging cards and relics. -Runs dont overstay their welcome. So…

[Pay$-to-Play] I thoroughly enjoyed playing this because I love card battler games and pixel art! <3 _ <3 If you like card games like Slay the spire / Blood Card / Night of Full Moon / Monster Train, then perhaps you'll take a liking to this game too~ Its cutesy, and there's a storyline with some hilarious scenes in it. Fair warning tho: Typically, we should have no trouble clearing the dungeons unlike other card games where a game can end early due to poor rng:x…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I will use Slay the spire terms since every1 knows them ~Pros~ Story is nice Deck building is really good, there are 5 decks (Characters in STS) 1 default + 4 you unlock via story. 1000+ unlockables (Cards / Relics / Perma Upgrades for cards and your characters) 9 Karma (Ascensions) Levels which increase the currency you get by clearing the dungeons up to +150% ~Cons~ QoL things 1) when u go to a ? (Event) node and it asks you for a relic, u cant open your relic list to see what u…

I dislike that you have to use a certain deck on labyrinths that aren't even the labyrinth you originally got the deck from, but it does add some serious challenge at some parts if you…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Many card battlers can be hit or miss depending on what you personally enjoy. This game does attempt to use a currency based loot box type of system for acquiring cards, which depending on the odds and your luck could either make your first few runs really good or really bad. The dialogue and story as a translation aren't the worst I've ever seen, also not the best. As I've mostly played through the tutorial and first 2 dungeons, the quality could strongly improve, but for me that wouldn't be…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Update 7/13/22: They fixed the blightstone issue and rewarded stones based on progress (I got 1472 - as far as fully unlocked the 3rd deck). Glad they got on this. It's a super fun and challenging game. I cannot STAND the second deck, but have still had some cool runs with it. Great rogue-card game. Stands up to the best, not *as* good, but well worth the money. ----------------------------------- I can't recommend it as of now, even though I REALLY like it. The main currency for unlocking…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fia's at work so I'm playing Novelrogue, the sequel to Overrogue, the Kemco deckbuilder I was playing recently. This one's another oneeshota game lol, though to a lesser extent. The main character is a young boy and he gets teased and pampered by a Yukari Yakumo type a bunch.
unlabelledView post →poor translation and a bad ui means you have to guess what cards actually do. there are far better deckbuilders, this one's an easy pass. 4/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game balance is pretty good. It is very story oriented, so it is 20 minutes of dialog and then 30 minutes of a dungeon. Rinse and repeat. Pick this one, if you like balanced card games with a bit too much story. For whatever reason, only around 50% of people beat Dungeon 3, which is like 3 hours of playing time
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kind of a makeup positive review since the Blightstone (resource for purchasing permanent bonuses) depletion bug that a lot of people dinged this for upon release has since been patched out. Take Slay the Spire and give it linear progression, persistent powerups, and the plot of a Disgaea game and Overrogue is what you get. Pretty easy compared to other, more infamous titles in the (sub?) genre I've played, and actually 100% completing the game (as opposed to just the steam achievements which…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overrogue, developed by Exe Create Inc. and published by KEMCO, is a fascinating blend of roguelite design and traditional Japanese role-playing elements that places players in the middle of a demonic succession tournament. The premise is straightforward but effective: an underworld competition is being held to determine the next ruler, and aspiring contenders must prove themselves by conquing dangerous labyrinths and overcoming increasingly difficult opponents. While the story is not…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great story, cool card system with an insane amount of unlocks, difficulty scales well
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i love the card battle, story is kind of meaningless. give me more card battles and less filler.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This one's OverRogue, a–you guessed it–roguelite deckbuilder, but one from the same dev as the oneeshota game I just beat. The gameplay is pretty traditional, but the whole thing has a really cute Disgaea-y charm and a more RPGish setup than these usually have, so I'm having a lot of fun.
unlabelledView post →kinda reminds me of slay the spire but more beginner friendly. you get themed decks you build via card pulls and upgrades then it's rng while in dungeon to make what you can. you also have the ability to swap between 3 characters to make healing and attacks easier. story is bland but servicable considering it's just a deckbuilder.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →cool very indie card rouge like game i like alot but feels very much like a phone game but its not bad if you get the chance to try it do it its not bad
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →guaranteed loss because the game says ♥♥♥♥ you. reflecting damage boss is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. cant refund. That's just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game design.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its kinda ass so i dont get why i like it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a decent deckbuilder roguelike. It uses a 3 person party system, where they all share the same deck, but only the person in front can be attacked. Changing the order of allies in battle heals one ally, but only a small amount, so there's a huge focus on health management. There are 5 different deck types, each of which offers a couple of different playstyles, having their own set of 'Gifts' (which are artifacts or similar in other games). There are also general 'Gifts' that can…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have had so much fun with this game and am so sad that it's finally over and I've completed all of the labyrinths. This is a great game for people who are both more casual players and those who want more of a challenge (since you can easily make even the starter dungeon hard as hell by racking up karma). It's just a great, easy, but challenging game to play for people who love deckbuilders. I also think the story is pretty cute. Yeah, it's basic but the characters are lovable, the dialogue…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a nice solid little deckbuilder game with 5 different themed decks to unlock. This is a more updated version than the final mobile one and the "DLC" is actually two features the original mobile ver does not have. Story is pretty okay, nothing special... standard JRPG fare. The card game is where this game really shines and there are a lot of ways to play once everything is unlocked. The downsides are that the starting can be very slow. You'll feel heavily restricted until you get at…
