60 of 230 · most liked firstOutpost: Infinity Siege Review - "I'm Tired, Boss" Edition Honestly? I can't be bothered to write one of my usual reviews for this game. It doesn't deserve it, as it doesn't deserve any more of my time. Spectacularly low-effort Unreal Engine 5 project, completely unoptimized, with DLSS/FSR slapped on it to make it barely playable. <30 FPS during battles and in some maps, with DLSS "Performance" and tweaked settings on a 4090, 64GB RAM and i9 13th Gen. The stated system requirements are simply…

We’re making a sequel instead.” What they’re really saying is: “We know this version is broken.” “We don’t want to spend the time fixing it.” “We’d rather sell you a new one.” And for someone like you — someone who actually engaged with the systems, who built something complex, who invested time and mastery — that hits harder than the bug itself. Because it means: ✔ Your time wasn’t…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sadly abandoned. Was a good game that needed a lot of polishing. But the devs left to do other things.

Rezzed both my teammates twice, we killed the gold shield boss, immediately died to another squad. I love this game.

unlabelledView post →After more than 200 hours playing this game, I am now writing my review. First of all, the game is “finished”; there will be no more updates, even though a lot of things look unfinished and unoptimized. The tutorial and the first few hours are really fun, but after that it's just a grind if you want the cool weapons and a bigger base. Overall, the concept is good but very limited, and after a while you get bored. I wouldn't recommend the game unless it's discounted by 90% or more. 4/10…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dont waste your money on this half complete game that does nothing to explain any of the mechanics to you but also loves to punish you for playing it. This game is a hollow joke of what it promises. If the half baked gameplay mechanics dont get you, the absolute god awful script and voice acting should be the only red flag you need. I dont think I have ever seen a plot executed so poorly, the game is not even coherent in its story telling at times. For example, the first set of missions you get…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would recommend this game for the main reason of it's ability to play a wave defense and change your outposts's design for efficiency. I will admit that the gameplay during the story is kinda meh. But the Return to Dawn Base (Roguelike style gameplay) and the Infinity Siege wave defense are what I play this game for. It is a lot of fun watching enemies get mowed down with precision. TL;DR, get it when it's on sale. The devs worked their asses off trying to get the game in a polished state…

Than it has to be removed from the store if you officially have no intention of completing it. There also needs to be a update limitation where if you don't not make any updates that require a download of resources or changes to your game while its in Beta/Alpha after a certain period of time, you need to launch your title or remove it from the store. I am sick of the fact there are…

unlabelledView post →This is my first ever negative review and its simply because I was so excited and hopeful for the potential of this game. Honestly when i bought it, there was a lot of polishing that needed to be done but I was willing to wait for the devs to fix. unfortunately over a year of waiting and the game has gone no where. Really unfortunate as this could have been one of my favourite games. don't waste your money or be hopeful, it wont happen

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →PLEASE NOTE: THIS GAME HAS BEEN ABANDONED. DEVELOPERS ARE WORKING ON SEQUEL. The game is really fun. By far the best Tower Defense Base Building FPS out there. Graphics are pretty good so it is recommended to have a "Better" PC. The gameplay loop does tend to get repetitive after a while until you start fighting different bosses. I've had a blast building my base even though it does take a while to farm all the things you're looking for.

unlabelledView post →Contrary to most I was satisfied with my purchase. Yes the plot is whatever, yes the dubbing is atrocious, yes it is a grindy as all hell past a certain point and yes it is janky, but there is also a lot of fun to be had here. I was honestly surprised with how good the gunplay is, I thoroughly enjoyed the base building aspect of the game and the fact that everthing ultimately feeds into it. The game can be as hardcore as you want it to be, or you can just mindlessly grind for better stuff and…

I highly advise you to focus on getting your energy storage up so you can just auto loot if you do purchase. I got some complaints, one for every hour I have…

unlabelledView post →I'll admit, I loved the concept of this game, and even the first few dozen hours as you get around to developing your squad, base, and weapons. It just seemed to hit so many good boxes: tower defense, RTS, looter/extraction shooter FPS, and even roguelite. All those aspects sound like it'd make an incoherent game, but to the extent I played it, it all works out, but it's clear the level of development they put into OIS overall, to help accommodate all those functions, really stretched the game…

Optimization, gameplay, and bugs. Optimization: At the beginning there are no issues because everything is small and there isn’t much happening on the screen. BUT when you progress further in the story and content and start building a bigger base, the whole game begins to suffer and literally starts to crumble or just crash…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Janky, non-sense story, terrible voice acting, glitch ridden, bug infested, no hand held hot mess of a game. Got it on sale, the campaign sucks, but there is a fun gameplay loop to be had and thankfully it has wave and survival modes. Multi-player is dead. Game is technically abandoned for a sequel. The fanbase/interest for this game is tiny/non existent, you will be hard pressed to find any useful information to better your playthrough experience and will be one your own. Best way to…

unlabelledView post →I wish there was a niche option or something but there isn't. I'm giving it a thumbs up because, if you see my hours, I got more game time out of this than most fully completed games I've bought at the same price and while there are some critical cons to this game I had a lot of fun and others that like this concept will put several hours into it as well. The videos show a flashy kind of FPS tower defense, and that's only a small part of the game unless you play an mode that does just that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I personally really liked the idea of this game going out to loot resources in a broken world and building your base to defend from the onslaught of robots. Sadly the game is just not that optimized as one would hope and can become a barrier for most people with weaker systems. I don't think I'll find any other game that scratches the same itch as this does and it sucks because this game got abandoned with the last update being from Dec. 2024.

unlabelledView post →The game definitely does not deserve Mixed reviews (while its only recent, not all time). I love it, its not easy, every failure "tour" is a consequence of overconfidence (mostly my cases) and poor preparation, which forces you to upgrade your base over and over again. But everything is doable! First of all I was thinking it's a tower defense. But it is not. It's more session looter-shooter with defending your base in the end of every session where the fate of the extracted resources is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is not a perfect game, but it has enough cool mechanics and gameplay to be worth it in my opinion.
